  1. the team needs to figure out why they cannot develop receivers. i hate seeing teams draft receivers in the later rounds that become pro bowlers while we draft projects like reynolds, ron johnson, javin hunter, devard darling, clarence moore, derek abney, demetrius williams, yamon figurs, marcus smith, justin harper, david reed, tandon doss, tommy streeter, aaron mellette, camponaro(go figure always injured), darren waller, chris moore(we shall see), jermaine lewis was a solid return guy but this list does not even include the 1st and 2nd rnd guys that did not pan out like patrick johnson, travis taylor, mark clayton, torrey was one dimensional for a 2nd rnd pick, perriman(important year for him). we need to hit a homerun one of these drafts on a receiver

we draft WRs about as well as Cleveland does QBs

  2. as amazing as it was to see Pitta return from 2 major hip injuries, he is not a long term solution for TE. we all appreciate what he was able to contribute over the years, but its time to find a new answer. currently there are just a bunch of clowns and over the hill guys in the TE meeting room. Ozzie can stock the roster up with as many choir boy, good solid character types all he wants. but its time to reload with some football players with attitude. no team in the league fears the ravens any longer, no one.

  3. Sign Juice and Guy. Let Williams and Wagner walk if they're outside the ball park of fair pay for their play. Can't overpay the big ticket players. Can afford to overpay Juice if need be because FB contracts are not astronomical anyway unless of course his agent decided to make Juice a TE or a RB. Then even he needs to walk.

Fullbacks still fall under the RB designation as far as franchise tag is considered.

  4. How many times do we hear that Joe throws a 'really nice' deep ball (Teddy Bruschi above) when he under throws the WR almost every time? Last year (most years...would love to see stats), sans the Dolphins game, it seemed like 90% of his throws were low or behind the receiver...even the check down passes were low. The Ravens need playmakers. However, it would make it a lot easier for the FO to focus on other positions if Joe would get the ball in our current WRs hands, in stride.

i've always said Joe throws a nice moonball. seems like he is trying to fire a rocket to the moon, only to watch it drift and float fizzling out of fuel.

  5. Our problem is our development with our WR's. We can never develop receivers which is why we always have to rely on bringing in a aging vet that has something "left in the tank". Bring in coaches that is know for their development of receivers. The route running for a lot of our guys is horrible. When you see guys like AB, Julio, OBJ and even Edelman, their route running is really good. I just think the coaching is mediocre in that department. It's been that way for a long time.

agreed, thats why with the most recent coaching "shakeup" i was disappointed in seeing Bobby Engram not mentioned. he must have some compromising photos of ozzie and harbs or something to keep his job secured

  6. no changes at WR coach still... Engram scrapes by again. how can our WRs consistently be so terrible? seems our WRs are literally playing checkers to other teams' chess. our WRs aside from the veterans we rely too much on, show such poor fundamentals. notice how rarely other teams scramble to pick up our cut/released WRs?

  7. restocking the cupboard isnt always the best idea if you are wait until what you are restocking has to expire. sometimes i just wish the Ravens would let young players be baptized by fire. we hang onto older players far too long now, perhaps its loyalty. i prefer a winning brand of football, its a business and i am an unhappy consumer. it amazes me to see how many young defensive players Atlanta has starting this year as rookies or 2nd yr pros. you could see the improvement and progression of the Falcons defense as the season went on. Ravens D seemed to have plateau mid season then spiral downward, somehow managing to hold onto a top 5 unit participation award
