  1. I watched Heavyweights. A classic. I have Ben Stiller's weird pushup face as my friend's contact pic cause my friend would always do that at track practice in high school and I'd be done. "Now I eat success for breakfast...with skim milk." "I'm doggin it, Pat I'm doggin it!"

  2. Best.movies.ever.

Yeah I have to get my mind back to normal. The military consultant in my Iraq and Chechnya War class posted his project that he did with his group and they had a graphic video at the end. I'd seen one like it before, but it's the kind you just don't get used to. So yeah lookin forward to seeing Terry Crews blow some bad guys away with the AA-12.

  3. Wow, what an intriguing review!

Probably the funniest part is when you see the Merman lol. Other than that, I thought it was just whacked out and over the top. There are so many parts when you're just gonna be asking "What am I watching?" It's worth a watch though. Probably gonna be watching Expendables 1 and 2 tonight and tomorrow.

  4. I think I'll stick to my simpleton movies like Commando and Expendables. I've done enough thinking with movies in my Upper level classes at UMD. I make fun of the thought process when watching zombie movies by saying "What do you think he meant by that when he brained that zombie with a rock? What's the discourse there?"

  5. So I watched Fight Club last night cause it had been a while since I'd seen it. Still don't get why this is a mandatory movie to watch if you're a man.  If I wanna see a movie with the same twist, I prefer Secret Window with Johnny Depp. I like Meat Loaf, because Bob had...lol. But that's really it. In fact, I just queued up Secret Window and kicked it to #1. Gonna be seeing Iron Man 3 this weekend. Also wanna see Oblivion, but I'm busy with finals, so I'll have to wait til Saturday next week.

  6. David Patrick Kelly is the bomb.  He's always popping up in movies that I watch.  My favorite role of his of course is from the TV show Twin Peaks.  But I loved him in The Crow as well.

I also loved him in Commando. I need to check him out in Twin Peaks.

  7. Flags of our fathers is also very good for the war movie genre. Anyways just watched a documentary on Wolverines and it was awesome!

Also on the list of movies we were assigned. And a good one. And David Patrick Kelly plays Truman. Guy needs more roles. I'm gonna be going to see Iron Man 3 next weekend. I'm swamped with school work this weekend

  8. Black Hawk Down.

LOL funny you should say that, cause that's on the list of movies to watch as well. I may actually end up using that in my last paper for that class. One of my favorite movies. Should've seen my face when my study partner said she couldn't get into it.

  9. I watched Taken 2 Monday night and finished Saving Private Ryan for a class tonight. That same professor forced us to watch Apocalypse Now. Good music, but way too long. I prefer Platoon (which we were also assigned to watch) or We Were Soldiers, but Apocalypse Now is the professor's fave for that era.

  10. Fell asleep before the end of I Know What You Did Last Summer.  Couldn't believe Leonard from Big Bang Theory/David from Rosanne had such a foul mouth lol. But yeah Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddy Prinze Junior isn't a good combo for a horror movie. Just got Taken 2 to take the bad taste out of my mouth. Little far fetched, but still enjoyable.

  11. I watched that there Erased with Aaron Eckhart. Basically like Burn Notice, Taken and Bourne mixed together with a slightly more annoying daughter (yes. more annoying than the daughter in Taken) Still pretty good. I have Taken 2 coming Monday. Seen it before. Not as good as the first, but again, still good.

  12. May check out Oblivion in the next week or two if i have the time or money. Look forward to seeing Morgan Freeman earn another freckle. Saw a behind the scenes clip on ZombieGoBoomTV's YouTube and the scenery of the movie looks amazing. On the other hand I'll be passing on Lords of Salem. I don't think Rob Zombie will understand that you can't be a successful director by putting your wife in every movie you make. The only director I could think of who was successful doing this was Roberto Benigni, but I'm not sure he put her in EVERY one. I'll wait for it to be available on Netflix and probably stop it halfway through like I did with his Halloween 2. I don't mind cussing, but that girl's mood swings just got unbearable.

  13. LOL Wow I lucked out big time. I thought, "What a coincidence that i decided to sign up for a course about the Wars in Iraq and Chechnya." and our professor told us we're taking it at a good, albeit sad, time. The other night I said "I'll either watch Collateral Damage or Act of Valor" and ended up going with Collateral Damage. I just checked our assignments for this week and the professor assigned us Green Zone and Act of Valor to watch. I just smiled. I've seen AoV at least 50 times including once with the commentary. So I watched Act of Valor this morning and Green Zone tonight. Green Zone reminded me of Valley of the Wolves with a higher budget.

  14. Yeah dang you weren't kidding it really was just an hour. No time wasted. Pretty good. And I like how they included the light hurting the zombies' retinas.Think I read that in "Surviving the Zombie Outbreak" Basically another zombie survival guide. Only it has pictures. But yeah pretty good movie. Next up is Machine Gun Preacher with Gerard Butler. Wish they'd make a live-action Dante movie with him as Dante and Ian McKellen, John Hurt or Anthony Hopkins as Virgil.

  15. Evil Dead was on point!!! Wow.

Even better was the fact I had the whole theater to myself to up the creep factor.

LOL I love when this happens. I've had it to myself quite a few times at United Artists in Marley Station Mall. By the way, I watched about the first half of Berlin Undead today. I had to take a break because I had a Dante's Inferno presentation and now I have to right a 7-page paper for another class, but I'm about to get back to it because I need a break. Good so far.

  16. Watched Big Daddy last night. Love that movie. Also bought Immortals today. I saw it in theaters and rented it last year. Not the best Greek mythology movie, but it's also not the worst. The one thing I didn't like was the portrayal of the gods. I liked how they weren't supposed to intervene, but they all looked way too young to me and the "titans" were a joke. They looked more like Mayans than anything else. I like the actor who played Zeus, but I just don't think he's a good fit for that role. I've always seen Zeus and Jupiter portrayed with beards. Another reason I got it is cause I'm supposed to be presenting on Canto 27 of Dante's Inferno for a class and Immortals has a form of the Sicilian bull torture system mentioned in the Canto.
