Sure. Ya Elmidan by Cairokee, Habbeytak Bessayf by Fairuz, Sout El Horya by Cairokee, Ana Moush Kafer by Ziad Rahbani, Kazeboon by Ahmed Rock and Irhal by Ramy Essam. The last two songs aren't on iTunes. I can see why Kazeboon isn't because Ahmed Rock doesn't have anything on there, but Irhal not being on there makes no sense because Essam's actually kinda famous and they have plenty of his other revolution songs on iTunes, but Irhal is probably his most famous due to him performing it in Tahrir Square during the 2011 Egyptian Revolution.
Got stuck going to the new Percy Jackson "movie"
Literally the worst movie I've ever seen in theaters
Mine still remains Alexander. Only movie I ever walked out of.
Watched Real Genius with Val Kilmer and then Outpost with Ray Stevenson. I like Ray Stevenson, but that was a horrible movie. It was putting me to sleep.Real Genius was great cause of the cast and music. And it's just a feel-good movie. I decided I'm gonna have to buy The Sandlot and The Little Giants. Both have a "Very Long Wait" status on Netflix. Next on my list of movies to watch this summer: Dazed and Confused. That and Fast Times at Ridgemont High are my Summer movies.
Damn, do you have a playlist for every situation in life?
Lol kinda. I did have a grass cutting playlist until my iPod died. Stray Cats is my celebratory choice whenever I have the house to myself. Also have Arab, American and Montage.
Listening to Beast by Nico Vega. It's on my pre-game playlist.
Excellent music too, but I'm usually not big on those type of drug movies. Although I must say A Scanner Darkly's comic book-esque overlay was really cool.
Why? Forget D.A.R.E. If you showed kids Requiem for a Dream, they'd never wanna do drugs.
Bought Bourne Legacy to treat myself for finished the Advanced Level Arabic Summer Language Program with an 85%. Also got Outpost with Ray Stevenson from Netflix.
Listening to Get Psycho by Disturbed. It's on my Gaming playlist. Feels good to finally relax.
Is it about the Middle East?
Nah it's actually set in the U.S., but one of the scenes looks like it's shot in Chefchaouen, the blue city in Morocco. I have a friend from UMD who's going there to study Arabic in the Fall. Not big on that dialect. A lot different than Egyptian and Levantine. Next up is Sharktopus. Looking for a real winner lol.
Which 'The Fall', there are several of them. Is it the one with the guy in the hospital that tells a bunch of stories?
That's the one. Love it.
I got The Fall from Netflix. Good movie. My Arabian Nights professor introduced it to us during the Fall 2012 semester. Love it.
Ya Elmidan by Cairokee. Found out about them during this summer semester. Very good to listen to before sleep.
After finally watching Ferris Bueller's Day Off, I don't understand what all the buzz is about. Hardly a classic, it's an average movie at best.
I beg your pardon? Next thing we know he's gonna tell us Sharknado shouldn't win any Oscars lol. Seriously though, I'm a huge 80's movie fan and love Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I think I'm gonna buy Birdemic to celebrate if I pass Arabic with a B again. At an 88.8% with my final presentation and Final Exam being the only two things left.
Watched Pretty in Pink for the first time yesterday. Reminded me of 16 Candles except with a drunken father. Ending was almost exactly the same.
Aha - Take on me.
Lmao
Gotta love the 80's. Have an entire playlist for it
Stray Cats - Rock This Town. For some reason, I've made it a tradition to listen to them when my parents go on a trip.
Listening to another song I heard on the radio today. Beast by Nico Viga. Also heard a new Pearl Jam song called Mind Your Manners. It's from their new album Lightning Bolt that hits stores October 15th. Good pump up songs for pre-game. Especially Beast.
Watched Gremlins Sunday night and Gremlins 2 tonight. Good movies.
Went old school and watched Blank Check. My Dad walked in halfway and loved it. Remember it as a kid. That and Ricky Ricky are pretty much my dream houses.
Catalyst by Linkin Park. It's on my Workout playlist. Been meaning to get back on the exercise bike, but I can't get up that early. I'd have to be up by 4:30 each day. Still, a good song.
Slayer's Raining Blood. Great song. I laughed so hard at its use in South Park. Been listening to Slayer since I was a kid. Remember buying their albums when tapes were still the thing in the 90's.
Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. Watched it last night until this morning. Also saw it in theaters with my friend. Daniel Day Lewis may have been a better Lincoln, but at least this didn't put me to sleep. Can never get into movies that when a lot of awards.
Day After Day by Badfinger. Heard it on 100.7 The Bay one day and loved the beat. Love me some classic rock. And I can't stand the morning radio commentary of 98 Rock and DC 101. The radio hosts are so obnoxious. I'm not the biggest fan of Cloog or however you spell his name on 100.7 The Bay, but at least they play mostly music.
Either gonna watch Dredd or Safe. As for Independence Day being the July 4th movie...wrong! in my Arnold voice. Good movie, but not for July 4th. Had some awesome fireworks here. But it's been a while since I've seen Dredd or Safe. I knew Safe would be pretty good, but Dredd was a hidden gem.
Well since it's 4th of July, I gotta go with Tommy Boy. Lol jk. Patriot.

Thinking of buying The Sandlot and/or Birdemic.
