  1. This is why I don't get too involved with comics. The only one I really do read is The Walking Dead. They have strayed away from the comic quite a bit in the show(in fact quite a bit in some aspects) and I'm not getting upset over that. I like the differences. Anyways, I just watched Twins "Through the lips over the gums. Look out stomach here it comes!" lol

  2. I saw The Watch yesterday with two friends. Quite a chuckle fest. Jonah Hill was hilarious and of course you can never really go wrong with Vince Vaughn or Ben Stiller. Also got Red Heat from Netflix. Great movie. And Dead Pool(Dirty Harry movie) was on AMC. So yesterday was pretty much a win win win for movies for me.

  3. And is 2012 the year for movies or what? Act of Valor, Avengers, Dark Knight Rises, Expendables 2, Bourne Legacy(still skeptical but I'll see it), The Watch and The Campaign. I'm sure I've missed a few, but it's crazy. I may see The Amazing Spider Man. I've heard good things, but I dunno.

  4. I didnt make it 30 minutes into Project X. Soooooo contrived.

Yeah once I saw the preview for it I made up my mind. Looks like it was made for little kids. I saw TDKR with my girlfriend today. Hines Ward wouldn't have made it to the 10 yard line. Bane sounded like the spawn of Sean Connery and Satan. But I loved it. The Bat was cool, but I still love the cycle the most. I'm gonna say that ties for first with The Avengers when it comes to hero movies. The only reason TDKR isn't first is two reasons: Steelers and once again(as I predicted) Nolan had to give the worst, most unnecessary line in the movie to a cop. I really wish I knew what the guy has against cops. Once there was a sign of police, I leaned over to my girlfriend and said "Get ready for the cheesy cop line." Definitely gonna buy it when it comes out though. Loved the ending and also the one twist. Did not see that coming.

  5. You no like?

I didn't like District 9. I was dozing off during it. However I did watch Birdemic yesterday with my friend. I've never laughed so hard at a horrible movie in my life. We were dying. The audio alone will have you dying of laughter.

  6. I think Dark Knight Rises will be a let down honestly. Batman Begins was so good and the Dark Knight was amazing. The Trailers haven't impressed me. By no means will it flop, but Im just not feeling it like i did with the first 2 movies trailers.

Yeah I'm honestly not too big on them putting the Steelers in there. And I'm sorry, but Ward would've been down at the 15 or 20 if he was trying to return a kick against us. I still think Avengers will hold the spot as best hero movie of the summer/year. And I don't like the new aerial vehicle Batman has. Why does everything have to be the shape of that tank-looking thing he has? I'll see it, but I don't have high hopes. Now my next movie from Netflix has nothing BUT high potential. Birdemic. The acting in that is so atrocious, I had to add it to my queue. Plan on hangin out with some friends while making fun of it. I'll undoubtedly invite my good friend Jack Daniels.

  7. Wait.... Who here doesn't like Liam Neeson? Man cards need to be revoked

I won't name 'em because I've made them mad enough already. I watched Wrath of the Titans yesterday with my gf. I liked it a lot better than Clash because it didn't have the two guys making the ridiculously dumb jokes. The guys who were so quick to run away and then they came in riding like heroes on the big scorpions at the end of Clash. Wrath had even more to do with the gods. And on a side note, every time I hear Tom Hardy as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises trailers, I feel like Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura when his land lord's behind him and he asks, "Satan?" It sounds so deep and evil.

  8. I thoought the grey was amazing. Pretty brutal crash scene and the overall idea of the movie was great, not going to throw any spoilers out but i love the ending. i think its a must watch. And yes, hes getting type casted quite a bit, his movie Unkown was actually very interesting i think, its worth a watch.

Yeah I have Unknown. I loved it, but I had a person with the worst IQ behind me in the theater.

  9. does anyone think that "TED" is gonna be a good movie?i think it will be good cause the makers of family guy made it but thats what i think.

Depends on the person. I'm not a big fan of Family Guy so I probably won't go see it. My friend likes Family Guy, but he just thinks the premise looks terrible.

In other news, I watched The Grey from Netflix this morning. Liam Neeson could play an ice cream man or some other soft profession and make it look hardcore. I know quite a few here don't like him, but he's pretty much the only person who can make me proud of my family's Irish ancestry. It's not his best movie, Taken, but I really liked it. And if you're an animal rights person, you might wanna stay away from it. I'd say it's worth a rental.

  10. The correct answer is George Romero's Dawn of the Dead, but thanks for playing.

I disagree. While I really do love this one (just watched it a few weeks ago) I'm gonna have to see the best is Tom Savini's remake of Night of the Living Dead with Tony Todd and Patricia Tallman. They're slow and it's not the greyish blue makeup like from Dawn of the Dead. And the 2004 remake of Dawn isn't a zombie movie at all. The Zombie Survival Guide specifically states that zombies do not run. They're cannibals like zombies, but they're more along the lines of infected like 28 Days/Weeks Later.

  11. I didnt think it was that bad. althoughi was not a fan of the grunting and what not when he was killing, that wasnt how michael myers was. Im still a fan of house of 1000corps though, that dude has some wierd ideas. Ive partied with him a couple years ago, very interesting guy

That's cool. I liked the first Halloween Rob Zombie did, but after this, I think he needs to stick to making original movies. And no more white trash broken families. And he also needs to break the habit of starring his wife in all of them as well. But yeah I love the guy's music. I remember rocking out to More Human Than Human as a kid and buying Hellbilly Deluxe the day it came out. I was not a fan of Halloween 2 though. And after my friend told me how it ended, I dislike it even more.

  12. So I got Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 from Netflix. I couldn't even get through all of it. Nothing but Laurie, Michael's sister going all crazy and yelling over 1 million obscenities a scene. And this time, Michael Myers was grunting and yelling violently whenever he was killing someone or chopping through a wall. I just felt like Rob Zombie went a little too far with the gore. And that's bad coming from me, a person who loves zombie movies. Once I saw Laurie yelling the F word constantly in her car, I just turned it off. That may possibly be the worst horror movie I've ever watched.

  13. one of the movies i just saw and hate is rock of ages it was a musical and it sucked and russell brand&alec baldwinare are <awful> it was the worst movie i ever saw!

I try not to get my hopes up with Russell Brand movies. The guy's just flat out annoying to me. The only movie I liked him in was Arthur. I honestly think the world would be much better without him and Sascha Cohen.

  14. Heard it was trash but tell me how it is. I have a hard time trusting movies that reuse the same cuts in trailers.

It's wasn't awful but it also wasn't great. The villain in it was just two weak. I think Wahlberg's kids in the movie could have taken him if they fought back. Other than Ben Foster, Wahlberg, Beckinsale and the actor who played the medic in Saving Private Ryan, I didn't recognize one of the actors. It was interesting but not worth buying. I'm guessing Contraband is how Wahlberg and Foster got together for the upcoming movie Lone Survivor based on Luttrell's book.

  15. I can't stand Michael Bay. I watched The Three Musketeers. Wasn't that great, but I didn't expect it to be. I have Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 coming next. My friend said it was pretty terrible, but I figured I could make fun of it after a few drinks.

  16. I have Three Musketeers on the way from Netflix tomorrow. I'm hesitant. I like Ray Stevenson, but it looks a little over the top. The one I'm really waiting on is Get The Gringo with Mel Gibson. From the preview I saw it looks like a sequel to Payback cause of the way he's narrating it.

  17. just my opinion, i like X-Men First Class more than Avengers.

    Avengers kinda bored me

Xmen did have a couple or few weak characters but the development of the main people beginning to end was what makes it better than Avengers.

I didn't even bother seeing First Class. I heard so many bad reviews and accounts from friends. I loved Avengers. But I guess it's not for everybody.

  18. I saw Let Me In. I honestly don't know what everybody was raving about. Probably the weirdest movie I've seen in a while since The Sitter. I mean, I got it, but still. Every time I was watching the main character Owen, I just wanted to play "The Creep" by The Lonely Island. Just constantly peeking around corners and closeups of his face. The little girl who played Hit Girl in Kick A** was alright. I think I'll stick to Lost Boys. I literally had to cleanse myself by watching Act of Valor after watching Let Me In. My friend said the original Swedish version was better, but still weird. i think I'll pass. And how could they do that to Casey Jones?

  19. Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Dissin The God Father? Nobody disses them. They make you an offer you cant refuse. That or you wake up the next morning with an eerie message in ur bed. Nah I loved the Godfather movies. Long, but not over hyped. And I also liked Taxi Driver. Deer Hunter wasnt bad. I watched Serpico with Pacino...wow. Awesome.
