  1. The reason people are criticising the Hangover 2 is the same reason everyone loved the first movie, the formula is the same. You can pay homage to the first but not copy it outright to the point where it's predictable, it should be able to stand on it's own merits.

    Anyone see Kung Fu Panda?

Yeah, it was trying too hard to be like the first Hangover instead of trying to do something different. There were some funny parts, but nowhere near as good as the first movie.

  2. It's more courtroom drama and conspiracies than suspense and action. Still better than most American movies.

I also forgot to mention that the third one has the least amount of boobs in it. That's also why it's my least favorite.

    LOL

I would love it if some respected movie critic wrote a review in which he used that reasoning for not liking a movie as much.

Roger Ebert: "You know what could have made this Sucker Punch movie a lot better? BOOBS..."

  3. Any fans of the Millennium series? Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is a pretty good movie once you get past how harsh the language sounds.

Yeah, I watched the first two movies on Netflix and they were pretty good. I heard the third movie isn't as good though so I haven't gotten around to watching it yet. I would read the books too, but I'm too lazy to lol.

  4. Pulp Fiction is a great movie.

I watched the majority of No Country for Old Men for the first time over the weekend and while the ending left me puzzled, the story really sucked me in.

There's a recurring theme in the movie of "you can't stop what's coming" which is what I took from the ending (in more ways than one). I was kind of puzzled by the ending too when I first watched it, but when I re-watched it multiple times, I started to pick up on certain things and the ending made much more sense. Definitely one of my favorite movies of all-time. (Pulp Fiction would also make that list)

Anyways, has anyone seen "Paul" in here? I just watched it last night and it was pretty good. It's not as funny as their other movies, but if you're a fan of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost then it's worth checking out.
