I like everything about it but why do we need perine? We already have west, Dixon and taliafero; we need a home run hitter not a bowling ball, we already have too many of those. Id much rather have marlon mack from usf

    Taliafero is hopefully cut

Long term cap hit is the biggest concern, that's a huge commitment for an aging player on a team who already has a strong secondary and weaknesses in a lot other places

Longterm cap implications for Sherman wouldn't be a problem, short term would be, 2018 is the last year he is under contract but I was more making a joke as I believe he is a good CB but largely a product of that safety tandem behind him.

    And just like that....

Now $16m in space, $10-11m if you count the tenders. Its that easy. Over $20m if they release Pitta.

Could this be a sign that the Williams deal is imminent? Or, just that they couldnt negotiate a pay cut with Doom?

Not to mention they could re-structure a deal or two and create more space. (I am not advocating that but it is possible to create plenty of space). I hope Williams isn't being re-signed.

I disagree. It reminds me of Tyrann Matthieu's situation in college. A lot didn't believe he was big enough to play the position. Sometimes talent and ball skills make you change the view of the position the next 5 years. I think Peppers could be that guy to come in and blow off everyones' hats. I think he could be the pioneer for his position.

Mathieu proved in college that he was a top defender in the best conference (at least at the time). Peppers has no ball skills and lacks awareness in coverage.

The Cleveland Browns are already freeing up cap space and beginning to release players.

    - The Browns have released QB Josh McCown and CB Tramon Williams.

I still don't know what to expect from Kafusi. What exactly his position is?

He's pretty similar to Doom. Situational pass rusher. Honestly if you watch his film he's a lot like Kruger at this point. We played more experienced guys in front of him while he learned the NFL. Honestly kinda our MO. And keeping with our MO and the fact that he's a 2nd rounder he'll get his shot at starting next year. Provided they don't waste the money bringing back Doom. Which Oz and Co are kinda notorious for, but I'm guessing they waste resources bringing back Pitta and/or Watson.
