  1.

Again WR is not a priority this year. Why would they draft a WR in the first round when they desperately need to improve the OL and DL?

Plus, if Aaron Mellette is not in Harbaughs infamous doghouse he looks to be a deep threat with good hands.

You would like to put the teams hopes on a playmaker 7th round Wr that was IR stashed his first year? How many years will this team attempt to depend on late round WR's instead of actually taking talent?  David Reed (5th), Marcus Smith (4th), Justin Harper (7th), Demetrius Williams (4th) , Yamon Figurs (3rd), Devard Darling (3rd), Clarence Moore (6th), etc .

They need to draft a sure (as sure as 1st rounders go) top tier WR if they ever want this offense to succeed.

  2. They'll be drafting late in the first round and drafting a WR that would be ready to start right away is highly unlikely.

Plus, this year's priority should be OL and DL along w/the fact Jacoby is a game changer and way better than a #4 receiver.

Corderelle Patterson and Deandre Hopkins disagree with your assessment that drafting a WR deep in the 1st isn't ready to start.

Hopkins has almost 800 yards receiving playing with Schaub and Keenum.

Patterson proved why he is dynamic last week and would be lighting it up if he didnt have cassell/ponder/freeman throwing to him.

How about keenan Allen in the third round? Jacoby is at best a 3rd receiver

  3. This is the issue I see now, he will get paid something next year due to his kick return ability alone, but where does he fit in? Torrey is obviously #1, Marlon is at worst #3, plus the Ravens have to draft a top tier WR next year. So if they draft a top tier WR that becomes #1, Torrey # 2 (torrey and rookie are interchangable depending on who is drafted, ie - lee, evans, watkins etc), Marlon # 3, Jacoby becomes # 4 , do you overpay for a potentially # 4 receiver?

  4. No I don't. He's done well, but he's not going to get much of anything on the open market. Guys like him are available all the time.

As much as id like to move Elam over, what other option do we have? There are virtually no FS worthy of starting either in the draft (unless you pick one high) or in FA. Ihedigbo controls the secondary. He makes the calls and gets everyone in position. He's a very good leader as well. They aren't going to let him walk for the minimal amount of money that he'll cost.

I see somebody like Kendrick Lewis getting signed to play fs and letting Elam play ss
