If I could only find that on the front of a sweatshirt to wear on Christmas day to my brother-in-laws house when my wife drags me up to Pittsburgh for the holidays. I usually wear my Ovie jersey, which drives him crazy, but how cool would it be to wear that! My wife dragged me to a Pens game a few years ago. They were playing the Carolina Hurricanes and I shouted the "OOOOHHHH" during the National Anthem while wearing my Caps jersey and everyone in the place looked at me like I was a madman.

We've got all the wrong teams to be able to manage stress!  lol  Caps didn't look very good last night and won that game through sheer effort and Holtbeast's all world goalkeeping. I think they win the series against the Leafs and THE nemesis awaits them in the second round. They will need to play much better to beat the pens. They have the talent and just need to somehow relax and execute their game.

Don't cozy up to the tube tonight as game six in Toronto is tomorrow.  haha

    C  A  P  S    CAPS! CAPS! CAPS!

Yeah, you are right they did say Sunday. I don't want to overlook the Leafs, but I hate that the Pens are peaking at playoff time AGAIN! I think I am going to be physically ill if the Pens end up beating the Caps again. I hate that team. It killed me last year to see them win the cup and if they do it again, I am going to puke!!!

I don't really yell out loud during games, but I get upset internally and I'm screaming in my head whenever we lose.

I understand, if I am watching the game at a bar I try to tone it way down, especially when I am at a bar in Pittsburgh at Christmas (yes my wife is a Steelers fan and her family still lives up there). I do wear my Ravens jersey at the bar but I always wear my jacket in the bar until after my food comes, then I take off my coat. My wife thinks I am too paranoid. :D

  4. Ok, I will admit to one last thing. I am superstitious and I won't sit on one side of the couch during games. I feel like if I do, I will cause the Ravens to lose. I know others have admitted to some of these things during the game day threads. Sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread, I guess I just want to convey that when I am on here with all you fellow Ravens fans, I really mean this from my heart, I feel like you all are a part of my family and are actually here in my living room with me. I hope that does not sound too crazy. I think I am going to miss the game day thread the most. It won't be the same on Sunday's not having my man Zeus ask me what is in my glass.

  5. Here is another one for you Ravens fanatics: Do any of you yell like maniacs during the games (especially the Ravens, Steelers, and Patriots)? My wife says that I can be heard by all the neighbors walking by my house and they "must think I am a mental case." I do tend to get a little crazy when I am in my house watching the game. Who am I kidding, she is right, I do yell like I lost my mind. Please tell me I am not the only one..........lol.

I really do have a serious blood pressure problem, I was on 4 meds, but was able to lower it to 3. Since it is rare with our offense that we ever blow anyone out, my pressure can really spike during games and I get terrible headaches. If we lose, I really take our loses hard, and talking on this website is very therapeutic for me. I am going to miss these boards so much!!!!

I think the bigger question is what the heck are you doing at the dining table during games?   :P

My wife makes a big spread of all kinds of munchies (fried foods that are very unhealthy) on Sundays during football season. I am not coordinated enough to handle a plate, eat, and work a laptop from the couch. Trust me, the big screen TV in the living room is very visible from the dining room table. :D

  7. Just curious does anyone else have a significant other that complains about the time you spend on this site. My wife has often made comments about me being on "the Ravens blog." It drives her crazy when I bring the laptop to the dining table during games and post comments while I eat and watch the games. lol

Some college football teams have multiple helmets all different looks and colors I would kind of like to see this and throw in the matte black as one of them.

Just have it to where people players / coaches /management and fans get to vote on them instead of a situation like hey guess what guys were trying a new look and it becomes another gold pants debacle.

I have seen the Steelers wear a yellow helmet once in a while, so maybe we can put a color change into the rotation for a game or two during the season. I don't know if the NFL has strict rules on this though.

  9. I hate the matte black on the Jaguars helmet, but maybe it is because their helmets look like they were in the body shop fixing front end damage. It looks like their game started before the black primer could be wet sanded and the rest of the gold lacquer applied.

I have faith in Urschel. Call me crazy but I think he can handle it. The guy is clearly smart enough to understand the mental demands of center. Physically he is slightly undersized at 300lbs but intelligence and quickness can counter that.

And what exactly fuels this faith of yours? I don't think it was his performance - because it has so far been mediocre at best... Also, the fact that a rookie and an eternal journeyman (Ducasse) easily overtook him on the depth chart doesn't seem to indicate he's starting caliber...

    I completely agree.

  11. I agree.... I don't have a problem with the fact that we traded TJ
    A. We have a ton of young talent on the DL
    B. We would not sign him after this year
    C. He has been inconsistent
    D. We can get something for him.

I do however also agree that we simply did not get enough!
    A. We could have received nearly the equivalent in a comp pick down the road
    B. We do lose his production for this season
    C. We traded a starter and a 3rd rounder (and a future 3rd or 4th round comp pick) for a higher 3rd round pick this year. That feels like an awful lot.
    D. Timmy was our most potent interior pass rusher and having already lost Doom and Guy.... I am a little surprised by this.... hope Kafusi can collapse the pocket.

I get why we traded him and don't even have an issue with that.... I just don't feel like we got enough. If we would have traded Timmy and a 3rd rounder for a 3rd and a 5th... I would have been good.

If we would have traded Timmy and a 4th for their 3rd and 5th.... cool.
Even Timmy and our 3rd for their 2nd and 6th.... I am in...

Just feel that we should have covered that comp pick and got more out of the deal. Does anyone know how much salary cap space this created? (I do wonder if this was a bigger factor then it seemed)????

You just said my exact feelings so well. I am in 100% complete agreement with you. I don't mind the trade, I just think we should have gotten a little bit more. I guess that if the Ravens were to land Elflein and Sidney Jones with those 74th and 78th picks (in any order), I will feel much differently.
