I wonder if the color of the jackets or suits these prospects are wearing is any indication of the team that will draft 'em, or are they just adding to the suspense?   Anyway these rookies are sporting some colorful attire, lol.

    I never thought about that.

he hasnt been charged yet i dont think... but the allegations and the police report are enough to ruin his stock

You are right, I should have said "false reports" in my post instead of false charges. Thanks, I will edit it.

It's hard to even say what's going to happen with him.  By everything I've seen leading up to tonight, it looks like teams believe that Conley is innocent.  However, they still have to weigh the possibility that they're wrong and Conley did do it.  I don't think any of us here have even close to the necessary resources to make any sort of judgment on where he could possibly go.  This is about as wait and see as it gets from an outsider perspective.

I really don't think Ozzie is a risk taker when it comes to these kind of things. I would suspect he may pass up on Conley even in the third.

yea they met at the bar... her and a group of her friends were hanging around them (he had rented a private area of the bar) and according to witnesses she had been hanging close to him all night trying to get his attention.

When they went back to the hotel Conley apparently stayed in the lobby for a bit with the group of girls while his friend and the girl he was with went back to the room.

After a bit the "victim" decided to go back to the room with Conley leaving her group of friends.

Then theres a very different story about what occurred once they got to the room but all those accounts are from people who knew Conley personally (except the other girl that was with his friend) so i wont go into those details bc there isnt any objective corroboration as of now.

But once the victim did leave the room, apparently she went to the front desk in the hotel lobby and asked the receptionist to call Conleys room and ask if she  could come back up. When she was told no, is when she left for good and filed the report.

All of that apparently is confirmed with video footage and unconnected witnesses. So seems like her story has holes all over the place. i mean why would someone who was just raped ask to go back into the situation. and if she lied about unimportant details ive got to imagine shes lying about more.

But this rape kit should reveal the truth. This happened on like April 9th -- is it normal for rape kit results to take this long? Surprised this is just coming out. Guessing the girl got upset this didnt get media attention and leaked it to TMZ herself once draft week rolled around, before he could go 1st round.

While i have my opinions, im going to with hold judgement on both the victim and Conley until more definitive proof comes out either way.

But if it turns out to be all made up, there should be some course of action for Conley to recoup damages. While rapes go vastly unreported, under prosicuted, and under punished when they are true -- the fact that there currently arent any penalties to those that report false rape accusations is ridiculous. Obviously its very difficult to prove either way which is why there are so many issues surrounding the topic, but when it is confirmed without a doubt that allegations are fabricated -- these people should be prosecuted and the falsely accused should be able to sue.  Conley stands to lose millions now unfairly if the claims are false. Its bs.

They never file charges against anyone who makes up a false report causing an investigation in rape cases. They say it curbs other victims from coming forward. I disagree with that, because it is so unfair to the accused and wastes a lot of time and resources.

Somewhat good news for Conley, it seems.  Still missing out on a ton of money but not as bad as it could be.  Strong indications that a lot of teams believe the accusations are completely false.

Does anyone think he would be worth taking in the second round or Ozzie won't touch him even if he falls into the third. I think he has a lot of talent and we could use another solid CB. I would be surprised if some team did not take him in the second, but I could be wrong.

It seems to me that all fans here will be most excited about picking Corey Davis. However, I think he may not be there. I would however prefer a Jonathan Allen or a Rueben Foster slipping to us!

Corey Davis seems like the guy to me that a lot of fans will be excited about. I really like Williams though and was really surprised yesterday when SSS said Davis and Ross are the one's that are worth a first round pick. I really thought that SSS would like a tough possession guy like Williams but he was not that high on him. I still really like Williams, but I may not have the eye for WR draftees as I was really high on Jaelen Strong (who I thought would be a big sure handed possession guy) and he fell to the third round. I just hope whoever we draft at #1 can be a solid starter for us this season.

  7. If I am not mistaken I think 5 of the 6 games went into OT. I hope it did not wear them out since the Pens won in 5 and I think only one was OT. I guess it is my Caps vs. my wife's Pens. I hope the Caps can finally get it done. I am so tired of hearing how my team always chokes from my brother in laws. They are right, but I am still tired of hearing it.

Washington really need to reverse their recent luck against pens, hell their all time luck against them. This is the year they have to get the monkey off the back for themselves and the sake of the league.

I agree. They have let me down so many times in the past, it really is hard to have any confidence. I hope they beat the Leafs tonight and then get it done against the Pens this year

My husband is a Saint during football season, Mod 3 will vouch for it.  We have a hard fast rule,  my family's tolerant from August to February BUT after the Superbowl my potty mouth goes away along with the kids and my husband coming down to leave for work and I'm at the computer. Usually the kids would get check for lunch and I made sure everything was signed in the back packs, then  I'd go upstairs and crash until 1300, shower and pick the kids up from school.  Prior to 2003 when I still worked part time it was UGLY, really ugly.shirtsny

We have a huge spread because I used to have a house full of friends and neighbors but that's down to a small amt of people, but still make a lot of food and my 'kids' are four boys from 30 to 6, so it ALL goes.  I tend  to throw stuff, so I was not allowed to be on line except half time until I got a tablet lol

My 21 yo was six weeks old when the team arrived, so he is quite the fan, when he was little, 7 or 8 my brother sat him with them and he smacked talked Eagle fans up until they left, they thought he was funny,  I'm not sure if y'all remember after Superbowl XXXV, there were Kiosks set up and people selling their wares, my husband would stop after work because he was a huge  collector of everything Ravens, especially pins and tee-shirts I still have some I've never worn.  It was getting to be March and this one guy wanted to pack up and go home.  He had 20 plus shirts and sold them to my husband for a buck a piece, my son lived in Ravens shirts for 3 or four years And I had the school call and wanted to know if we washed his shirt every night.  I was so embarassed, but this came under the heading of pick your battles lol  He still wears team stuff and has been known to 'borrow' my stuff until he out grew it lol

Yeah I remember all those tents set up in lots around the Baltimore Area after we won Super Bowl XXXV. I remember buying a "Who Let the Dogs Out?" t-shirt in a grocery store right before the game. lol My worst episode of throwing things was coming home from a long trip and I was listening to a game on Sirius radio. We were playing Jacksonville and I thought it was a game we were going to win easy and they kept hanging around and taking the lead back. Our offense kept turning the ball over and I kept getting angrier and angrier. When we lost the lead again late in the 4th quarter, I ripped the radio off the windshield and threw it against the dashboard and split the plastic on the dashboard. It was an old beater car, so it was not a big deal, and thank God the radio was not damaged, but my wife was so mad at me and I felt so bad and wished so hard that I could take back what I had done. I was just so frustrated by the game and let my emotions get the best of me. It was a while ago and my memory is cloudy, but I think we may have actually won that game at the end or in OT. I did learn a lesson from that and if I ever start getting that angry now over a game I turn it off or walk away. I have not thrown anything since that day.

A side note: My Steelers wife hates Tom Brady and the Patriots. She was so mad when the Patriots tied the game in the Super Bowl against the Falcons she turned off the TV and went to bed. She was so bitter! She did not want Tom Brady to have more wins than Terry Bradshaw or Joe Montana (a hero of hers). I (of course) understood her point of view, but I did not have as much skin in the game, as I did not want Matt Ryan to get a Super Bowl ring either because I think it is awesome that Joe Flacco (the quarterback taken after Matt Ryan in the draft) has one but the great "Matty Ice" does not. As much as I dislike Brady, I also dislike hearing about the Steelers six Lombardi's from my Raven-hating in-laws. So if the Patriots ever do win one more, I won't be happy about it, but it wouldn't kill me as bad as it would those Steelers fans!

The only other time I had an incident was during the "Mile High Miracle Game." I was in a bar in Southern Delaware (which is actually Eagles country) with my Ravens gear and my wife was in all her Steelers gear (of course). This guy across the bar was in a Romanowski Bronco's jersey and he was drunk and just started starring at me and talking trash. I can't express in words what a loud mouth jerk this guy was and do it justice. I just ignored him because I am not a good trash talker because I go right to "let's take it outside" (when it comes to these kind of drunk jerks) and I had a few drinks myself. However, he was ticking off my wife (who had my back) with his trash talking and she started giving it to the guy about wearing the jersey of a player who spit on a guy. So of course it just escalated and just got worse when it looked like the Ravens were done. I kept calm even though I never wanted the Ravens to win a game so badly in my life! Well the rest is history, Jacoby's catch and our win in OT. Because of the situation, for me, that was the greatest Ravens win of all time (Super Bowls included), because after all that trash talk and disrespect to my wife it was now my turn :D because he was at the back of the bar and had to walk toward me! So I stood by the door and stared directly at him and said, "Hey mouth what have you got to say now?" The guy kept his eyes at the floor and gently scooted around me and went to his car and didn't say a word. Whoever coined the old English proverb, "He who laughs last, laughs best" was sooooooo damn right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. I will not be upset at all if we go with an o-lineman or a CB very early. The CB position this year is fairly deep with talent but the o-lineman in this year's draft seem to drop off in talent, so maybe this is the year to take one early if you are looking for an immediate starter and not a project. We certainly could use another good o-lineman! I hate trading back, but for some reason, I would be OK with it this year if we did and picked up either Robinson or Ramczyk.
