Still not sure why the Chiefs cut him, decent corners don't fall out of trees. I am not convinced he was cut because he doesn't fit their scheme.
Thats a nice streetable build right there. The cam, on the surface isnt big but I bet its got somepretty good duration. Any idea on the LSA? Guessing 108?
I built a 421 SBC a few years back that was an animal, gotta love strokers!
I am not sure of the LSA on my cam. I know a guy that just built a 421 that he wanted to sell me but it was just a little too radial for me. I wanted something more streetable that I could run on pump high test. The only issue with the new engine is that the pinion snubber I have bolted onto the front of my 9 inch Ford rear really bangs against the rear floor when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd if you really get on it. I guess I am having some spring wrap so I want to put a pair of Slide-a-Lock traction bars on my X-body. I was looking at the instructions on Summit Racing and I think I am just going to let my chassis guy do that installation.
What was your 421 Stroker in? Did you have it dynoed?
What size valves in the 195 heads? Surprised to know they have enough to make that power. That should make a responsive combo. also, solid roller or hydr? Race fuel or pump? Those dyno results rated at the crank or the wheels? I'm assuming at the crank.
Numbers to the crank, hydraulic .510 intake .520 exhaust, 2.02 1.60 valves 64cc, 10.4:1 (93 octane pump)
@1/28/01.........I have some images of the car I loaded to my computer from my digital camera, but to post a photo the website is calling for a URL number, but I have no idea what that is. What is a URL number and how do I get it from a picture I loaded from my camera to my computer to post a picture?
My 1971 Nova SS has the new engine:
396 Small Block Chevy (350 block with Scat 3.85 crank)
Mahle Forged Pistons
Howards Roller Cam
Aluminum 195 heads
Holley 300-36 manifold, Edelbrock 800 CFM Thunder Series carb, Carter fuel pump, HEI
Dynoed at 494 horsepower and 521 torque
9 inch Ford rear has 3.70 gears
350 Turbo with Hughes convertor and B&M kit
New Flowmaster stainless exhaust
I did my first Cruisin OC in May and I just won a Top 25 trophy at a car show last Saturday, for which I was very honored.
So bummed about the Wizards, but that team is on the rise!!!!!!
yes they are, and yes you dont. which is why its good to not drop all your eggs in Wagner basket, because IF he doesnt pan out, we're screwed. If none of these excessive DLs we're picking up work out, we're still gonna be fine there. how do people not get this?
I have your back 100% because I fully agree with you on this. People are not getting the fact that even if Wagner is OK, our backup is Jah Reid. If this does not scare people I just do not get it.
LOL at people giving up on Wagner already.
I don't think anyone is giving up on him, it is just that he has no competition to compete with and he is really an unknown factor. Seriously, Jah Reid is his only competition - That is what we are all worried about. We have zero depth. And if one of our Tackles get hurt, we could move K.O. over but then Jensen is the next unknown factor, and you got it - A.Q. Shipley is the backup. If you don't have a little concern about our line after last season, you must be one optimistic fan. I think we just wanted a decent draftee to give some competition and depth and we picked no one so far, and this late in the draft all the good o-lineman have already been scooped up.
Jerry Jones - I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!!!!!!!!!
Pick Manziel at 17, trade him to the Browns for pick 26 plus a third rounder. Trade the third round pick for Stevie Johnson from the Bills. Then use pick 26 to get thier safety. See, I can do Ozzies job, I will send my resume.
That is such a crazy risk, the term "in Oz we trust" would never be read or heard ever again. As far as Stevie Johnson, let's see if Latimer or Matthews fall into our lap before we go dealing our picks away because the last trade with Buffalo for a receiver (Evans) turned out to put a dagger in my heart.
Only disappointed because I wanted Martin, but Mosely is a solid football player. So many good players left for round 2. Cody Latimer is a beast, Morgan Moses would give us much needed insurance on the o-line. Still very excited for round 2&3 tonight.
At $700,000 with nothing guaranteed give him a little longer and keep a watchful eye on him. If he does not get that he is under a microscope and show a full commitment and preparing to start "Playing like a Raven" then just cut ties with him. If we draft C.J. Mosely then that will tell me all I need to know.
I hope Cruz is OK that was a nasty pitch to the head breaking his batting helmet. I hope he was just taken out for precautionary reasons because we will need his bat on opening day.
Tommy Hunter has absolutely stunk this spring... I'd rather give Evan Meek a shot at Closer. He's been lights out.
I know, I wish they would have been all in on Balfour instead of backing out of that deal.
Wow ties, ties, and more ties......crazy! Better than losses I guess.
Wow, I certainly did not foresee Ozzie trading for a Center. I would love for the article to give us a reason Tampa Bay may have traded him. Was he too expensive for them? Do they have a backup they feel is ready to step up? I have to say I am happy that Ozzie is making moves to improve the o-line, although I would love for us to be dominant at the o-line and I am not sure this trade quite gets us there, but I am sure Ozzie is not done just yet.
Gonzalez with six strong innings. Looking good!
I am just glad we are still looking and checking into players in FA instead of standing pat until the draft. Go Ozzie!!!
It makes me sick how on ESPN First Take everyone said they feel sorry for Irsay. I say the jerk is lucky that his wife even put up with him for 33 years. Would they still feel sorry for him if the guy killed someone driving around intoxicated on who knows what? You can certainly see that when it comes to the Irsays the fruit does not fall far from the tree. They get on the players when they do this. They say that the players make big money but they will never make owner money, so you tell me this guy couldn't pay for a cab. I went out this weekend with a whole group to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, but you know what I kept everyone safe, did not drink, and made sure everyone spent the night over my house and left in the morning. I had some sleep in my kids rooms, put up a few blowup beds, and opened up the sleeper sofa. Unfortunately, his lawyers will probably get him out of this instead of doing the right thing and punish this jerk so he does not end up killing someone on the road.
Wow that was quick. I am excited to see what he can do. Hopefully we can get some o-line guys now so Joe can have some time to get some good passes off to these good receivers.
This is why, more than Ed Reed, more than Ray Lewis, Ozzie Newsome is my favorite Raven.
It is hard to argue when he makes deals like this.
I am so happy we have some nice cap room now for some more signings. I am pretty excited to see who is next!
I don't see where Gabbert's and Boldin's could even compare,... but don't bother responding,... We lost Art Jones (as expected) but this ain't a bad day in Charm City!
I guess my jokes are just lame today, sorry.
Ozzie would be terrific POKER player.
Yes I agree, but then again the 49ers traded a 6th round pick for Blaine Gabbert so maybe Ozzie could have gotten a little more than a 6th for Anquan Boldin ![]()
Wow I am so happy to read this. I said in the beginning I would have franchised Monroe, Ozzie did waaaaaaaaaay better than that. This is just awesome Raven Nation! Thank you Ozzie!!!!!

Two things:
1. Do they have to mention Ronaldo's name every day during this World Cup? When his name is mentioned I get the same feeling inside as when I hear the name Hines Ward or Robert Irsay.
2. Go Team Netherlands and anyone who plays Team Portugal (because of #1)
