I thought I saw reports the Patriots also signed TE Scott Chandler today but he is not listed on the transactions on NFL.com Did other teams jump in to negotiations and he is holding off on the deal?
If Ozzie pulls the trigger and takes a chance on someone in free agency, I pray he does not turn out to be the NFL version of Ubaldo Jimenez
Every single one except for the one time the Eagles beat them for it when they went on a free agent spending spree.
This is going to make those clamoring for a receiver in the first not happy. If the Texans do not find a trade partner for Andre Johnson, he will be released. Meaning the Texans will be another team with a receiver need in the first.
That was one of the first things that hit my mind, I was thinking, "Crap, I can probably forget about Jaelen Strong falling to us - it was a only a slim chance before this." A.J. is going to be cut for sure, because no team is going to make a trade when they know this.
It does not surprise me at all that the Browns signed Josh McCown, but I personally don't think he is much of an upgrade over Hoyer.
Oh, how they have fallen.
Hopefully we keep losing for another week or so and that's enough to finally can Wittman. I've never been a fan of him and IMO, he already reached his ceiling as a HC last season making the playoffs in the horrible, horrible East.
Losing Beal hasn't helped but even when he was healthy the offense played mediocre. It's been time for change.... Here are some good/frustrating reads on it
I agree, Randy Wittman needs to go. I would probably wait until the end of the season. I think it is funny that the article said that they should wait until after next season and let Kevin Durant bring in whoever he likes.
I guess my Wizards are all but dead. 2-8 since the trade, I guess it just did not work out as planned. Oh well?
As expected, Cowboys are expected to tag Dez Bryant and possibly let Murray walk. They will meet with Murray's agent at the combine.

I wonder how a volatile guy like Dez is going to react to having the tag put on him? The Cowboys are making the right move in choosing Bryant as priority #1. He may be the best receiver in the NFL right now.
You never know.
Agreed, you implement an offense based around his skill-set and I bet he would surprise a lot of people, especially if he eluded injury doing what he does best. If Tyrod gets no offers and wants to stay as our backup at the right price, I would love to keep him.
This is just a crazy thought, so don't beat me up too bad. Do you think a QB like Tyrod Taylor could do well in Denver? I think Kubiak likes mobile QB's and TT has wheels. I be willing to bet it would work well up to the point he got injured. TT reminds me of Vick back in the day. Unfortunately, it would only take one good hit to a leg or knee for that to come to a crashing halt. Actually I am hoping we can keep TT as our backup.
I got Hoyer going to Jets or Bills.
Ingram Stays with Saints
Randall Cobb goes to Panthers
Suh goes to Bears(Division Rival upset)
Fairley stays with Lions
Demarco Murray goes to Colts
Jeremy Maclin stays with Eagles
Michael Crabtree stays in bay, but signs with Raiders(team he was supposed to be drafted too)
Jordan Camereon go to Seahawks
Julius Thomas goes to Raiders( Division rival upset)
Justin Houston stays with Chiefs
Revis stays with Patriots
Devin McCourty goes to the Cowboys
Byron Maxwell goes to Falcons
Foles being traded to a AFC team, Texans or Titans
And for my bold prediction...RG3 traded to the Eagles. Chip will revive RG3 career
Interesting predictions/speculations.
Did anyone else see all the "Larry Fitzgerald to the Steelers" stories? Do they even have the cap room to make this happen? I thought the Steelers were in bigger cap trouble than we are, maybe not. I am a little worried that they may be trying to make that happen. Anyone else.......?
should have been DeAndre Jordan
Agreed, the guy is having one heck of a year for the Clippers!
What the heck is going on with my Wizards, all of a sudden they can't buy a win.
Thank you Kenneth Faried for missing both free throws with one second left for give OT to the Wizards so that they could beat the Nuggets.
Wow did Ray Lewis go off or what this evening on this subject. "Put an asterisk next to their name".............wow!
Some people just want to do what they want to do, even if it is flushing their life down the toilet.
I am not sure about Bill's press conference. He sounded somewhat convincing then reverted back to acting like a jerk with the media. You can't act like that if you are going to take questions, because then you DO look shady. If you are going to have a humble speech, then answer the questions in a humble manner. I am interested in Tom's press conference tomorrow, because Bill did not come out and say he believed Tom was not somehow involved. I thought that was a little strange. I know one thing, this is getting ugly and I hope the Ravens are done with these kinds of firestorms forever!
I don't think Troy smith / Tyrod Taylor is Matt Cassel. The reality of the situation is Joe is only one hit away and we have been blessed so far.... and we are a next man up team and not having a solid backup is not a good investment and some people would want us to tank. We are gambling on one man to play all games every year and I'm not sure we are serviceable in the backup position and not sure we can keep rolling such dice.
I want to win it all no matter who is lined up...or under center every year. And I don't want a Curtis Painter situation....just my 2.
Every team is looking for this guy, he is just not out there. Especially when so many teams need a starting QB, like Jacksonville and Cleveland.
Wow, I don't even know what to say if this is true.
The Wiz got spanked. Glad I decided to take down all my Christmas lights and missed the game.
Here are the details........
- Will Be Open by 2020
- Cost $900M, half to be publicly funded, the other half coming from the NFL and Kroneke
- Will hold a max of 64,000 people, 2,000 less than the Edward Jones Dome which holds 66,000 people. Keep in mind, Stan Kroneke wants to build a stadium that holds 80,000 people in LA.
- Will be Open Air Stadium, not a dome
- Gov Jay Jix has said he would want the Rams decision by Jan 28th
- Site preparation would begin in June
You know, I think Stan is hell bent on moving the team to LA. Regardless of this proposal, I believe if anything Mark Davis should be looking at this proposal and think about moving the Raiders to St. Louis.
Yeah because he is not even taking calls from the city. Looks like he already made his mind up.
My Steelers wife is so happy Dick LeBeau resigned, she was never a fan. Thought he played too much prevent defense late in games and she hates the prevent defense. Can't say I blame her, I do not like it either. I pray they do not go after Rex Ryan if he does not pick up a HC job.
I would love to see my Wiz beat the red hot Hawks tomorrow.
Glad to see my Wizards get the win tonight after the last two games. The 76ers beating the Cavs is just funny.

Well we really did not have the cap space to give McCourtey a huge deal and we needed some depth after losing Stewart. He did not have a bad season in Texas, so if we got him cheap, I am ok with the signing. Maybe tomorrow I will be the day I get excited about a signing
