Every time I see your avatar it reminds me of your response to someone about eating at Gino's. And it brings back memories. Gino's and Ameche's. And the Golden Arm restaurant......
Yeah I agree, what great memories! Those were the days. Things are so different now, the city has changed so much and after 21 years on the force it has totally lost the grandeur of youth. Now too many bad memories. You could not find any youths playing stepball, that is for sure. When I was a kid in northeast Baltimore I could walk out my house and find a half dozen kids to play with before I made it halfway down my street. I was never inside. Both my grandparents houses in the city are...
I sure hope I don't offend anyone with any of my comments. I am just stating my personal opinions that is all and I may be wrong a lot. I have a tendency to take losses a little too hard. I bleed purple and black and I hate the Steelers and the Colts as much as anyone possibly can. I was born in Baltimore 45 years ago, lived in Baltimore, went to school in Baltimore, and worked in Baltimore.
I did use the term "hate" but the truth is that my wife is from Pittsburgh and I actually like the city, even though your teams seem to have "our number" through the years. She is die-hard Black and Gold, so it can get pretty interesting in our house during football season. My in-laws hate Suggs with a passion, but I am not a fan of Hines Ward, so it's all good. I do respect you guys and we ARE THE BEST RIVILRY IN AMERICAN SPORTS! Take Care.
