we havent exactly had the most fair sampling though. 2013: the team was totally dismantled, that team was a mess, we were in the middle of bryant mckinnies downward spiral and trying to transition to eugene monroe, we depended heavily on ray rice who clearly had taken a horrible left turn, torrey smith was our #1, our centers were historically bad, marlon brown was our #2... kinda hard to hold this one against joe, even though he didnt play well that year, its understandable.

2014: things came together. kubiak came and was a great fit for joe. owen daniels played at a near pro bowl level and was an incredible security blanket. steve smith was a man possessed this season. our OL was elite and healthy for most of the year and was being coached in the best OL scheme of all time and we had a rb who executed the scheme to perfection. in this season joe played better than he ever had, everything worked, and our season ended with flacco once again playing lights out in the playoffs @pit and @NE, so much that he brought us 2 14 point leads in NE and the secondary blew it.

2015: a disaster year. james hurst was starting at LT for most of the year. flacco had delivered 2 game winning TD passes perfectly into crockett gillmores hands and he blew it both times. we had zero pass protection once again. our revolving door of a wr corps consisted of kaelin clay and that guy we signed from STL(cant even remember his name a year later). joes top man went down midseason and a few weeks later he tore his acl because of his horrible OL play.

2016: still recovering from said ACL, o-line is just as bad, if not worse, for the majority of the season. run game is historically bad for the franchise. game winning TDs dropped against the raiders and redskins. goes into the bye week hobbled and still recovering, clearly he improves along with the rest of the OL as he suddenly has better protection once stanley comes back and zuttah gets healthy again, he has a very strong second half to the season, does enough to get us into the playoffs minus a hiccup game vs NE where the gameplan was just totally broken and not in our favor, and in the end our defense lets us down and gets us eliminated. and in this same game he had 2 sure TD's dropped, one possible TD that wasnt played right, and a crucial 3rd down conversion missed inside the 5 because pitta inexplicably flailed his leg into the air and failed to get it down in bounds. definitely 2, possibly 3 or 4 TDs that never were, because his team let him down. this game was a blowout if these guys arent letting him down over and over.

flaccos performance needs some context man. he isnt the best qb in the league, not by a long shot. but he isnt the problem with this team, dropped passes, horrible pass protection, injuries, and just a lack of talent in general are the problem with this team. flacco is let down by his players so much its sickening that the fans dont even realize it.

You failed to mention the success of the run game in the final quarter of the year that WAS THERE, but either Joe only running the play that was called, which was not a run, or Joe checking out of the run when it was called, trying to throw on every play, or  throwing mindless dumb picks, when we should have been running the ball, which is what all good teams do, mainly at the least it burns clock, and helps the defense have a longer break, but bottom line the run game shoukd have been a staple in this Offense, not an appetizer.

Only real prediction I can think of that doesn't already seem incredibly obvious is that they lowball Wagner because of Lewis.

Smith retiring, Dumervil cut, Williams being overpaid elsewhere, Zuttah being replaced, and even possible Wallace and Webb being cut due to money all seem obvious at this point

I say you keep Wallace. He did look pretty frustrated with our NOffense this year tho

Well John is talking the same old talk again. It is tiresome to watch him go on about how we need to do better and we will. Trying really hard to rationalize keeping all his coaches except add more players. I think we are doomed for 2017 if he keeps his coordinators. Just said explicitly that he is going to keep the coordinators. We are screwed and he must go in my view! This is just such a bummer because Marty is going to stay.

Marty and I both believe in running the football! He is so full of 'dung' it is unbelievable. He's keeping Marty simply because Flacco and Pitta put pressure on this guy coupled with his loyalty to his assistants.

I don't know about you, but I'm just dejected with the Ravens brass at this point. He also just said the players believe in him (I'm assuming he means Flacco and Pitta) and he believes in Marty too (loyalty I suppose). Same old cliches such as 'Get good at what we do', 'we are going to go to work', 'we are just a few plays away', 'we're fighting every single day to be great at what we do', etc.

We are going to have another failed season if nothing changes and that isn't forthcoming based on every cliche I've heard from John Harbaugh. I feel defeated as a fan by the team that I adore and by the owner I hold in high esteem.

You forgot to mention, "WE ARE GOING TO RUN THE BALL" and rarely does

  5. The reason they got rid of lower level coaches, is because poop rolls down hill.

-------> Its not my fault says the HC, I didnt call the plays,-------> the DC says its not my fault we couldnt close out the games,---->The DLine coach says its not my fault we couldnt get any pressure on the QB's, ---->the Linebackers coach says its not my fault, my guys are ProBowl alternates, ---->  The Secondary coach says its not my fault the guys give up deep plays, ------> the OC says, Its not my fault we usually outscore our Opponents until 2 minutes left in the game, ----> the Oline coach says, Its not my fault the QB never steps up in the pocket, -----> the RB coach said, its not my fault, my guys legs are still fresh cause they never hand off the ball,----> its not my fault the WR coach says, they didnt want to throw to my guys, thats what we have RB's for, ------>The ST coach goes to Tucker, says its not my fault you guys cant score in the RZ, and I have to do the scoring for you, ----->Joe says its not my fault, I just run the plays you call,.....its the guy who makes the helmets fault, he put a special brainfart chemical in them

There was probably a lot of CYA going on at the castle to ward off dismissal of these coaches

  6. I will give Marty 1 Prop..... .........wait for it..............

Marty was the only Ravens coordinator in the Harbaugh era confused Offensive system that finally started using the middle of the field in the passing game, and they worked.....we started seeing regular crossing routes and slants........I have been asking for years where was this play

    50% average...amazing!

2009- Rookie mistake with a middle of the field pass against the Steelers end of game to take the lead for the win.

2012- Lee Evans drops the ball

    2013- Superbowl MVP

2015- Pats cheated with eligbiles, cheated with not letting us sub and cheated with defeated balls. Flacco was out slinging Tom and the pats had to cheat to overcome two 14-point deficits.

Playoff Joe is the truth! If we can carry the man to the post season he turns into a HOFer!

But they cant ever hold a lead, and we score 3 or worse in the RZ consistently, so we lose.

  8. You fellas want to know what really pisses me off the most?

WE SHOULD BE in the Playoffs Right Now!

We are better than half these teams, but we messed up!

And the LACK OF RED ZONE TD's really pisses me off!

This is year after year after year, and the LACK OF BEING ABLE TO SAVE A 4th Quarter lead, Year After Year AFTER YEAR.      COACHING

Keep the same coaches Steve, beat your head against the <expleted deleted>ing wall, YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR

We are better than half of these playoff teams, but WE AINT GETTIN IT DONE.

  9. Can somebody tell me how Martyball staying helps this pathetic excuse for an offense?

He thinks a running back is best used as a receiver. He thinks a deep route is simply a decoy to create space for the running backs route.

And then theres Joe (I only have eyes on my primary target, eyes locked on it, no matter the defensive alignment, I cant see it, so it must not be there) and the primary is a back. Ugh, good luck

  10. Harbaugh will go down with his coordinators....if we keep them, bring in some knowledgeable consultants with a high football iq, this team sorely needs it, and last i checked, theres no cap on those....maybe we hire Kubes as an outside offensive consultant, to help Marty become more offensive, low stress, make his own schedule

  11. Well one thing is certain.

The defense can not carry the team, Joe cant carry the team, and Harbaugh decisions cant carry the team.

Therefore, knowing these things to be true, you need the best coordinators to make both sides of the ball go, getting the most out of the talent the FO gives us to work with.

If the coordinators do not excel, we fail.

I will say this, Billy B, and his coordinators are ALWAYS taking notes in game, and are constantly making adjustments, x and o's, and that stems from the HC. Situational football, football iq constantly being top focus. We fail miserably in that area, and is why we lose chess matches, as do most of the league.
