  1. That's what I'm saying. If it takes a sacrificial next season to put an end to this broken down circus so be it. Matt Patricia 2018!
  2. Unfortunately the joke is on the fans, and next season will be the punchline.
  3. What about endless 2 yard check down passes to a fullback constitutes aggressiveness? I'd rather have rational aggressiveness, which is downfield passing opportunities set up by play-action passing built on the credible threat of a running game. This entire Frankensteining of a West-Coast approach on top of the tatters of Kubiak's zone blocking scheme is an abomination. Boom! Is the team even using ZBS anymore? At one time it was said it was selective according to the play.
  4. Hence why throwing the baby out with the bathwater isn't always the answer. If some fans had their way here they'd have fired Harbaugh, Pees and Morninhweg. And I have not agreed with the OC AT ALL... The numbers have shown a vast improvement since Morninhweg took over. The numbers are real numbers. The players like him and want consistency. 6 OC's in 5 years is not what they want.... it's not the answer. Bringing in somebody else isn't necessarily going to correct the problems. You're right! We will have to wait for 2018 after Harbs is canned for real substantive change. His support of the NFL reject coach merry-go-round will bite us and it will be solved. Of course having terrible drafts with few playmakers doesn't help. So...if the Patricia, Shanahan, Le Fleur type talent is still out there we may have a shot.
  5. Well if the players have confidence in the schemes and play calling the blame circles back to them.
  6. Both are up for a lot of blame, so hard to tell but I think coaches almost always take the brunt of it.
  7. I would love to have a defense-minded HC. Matt Patricia from the Pats is looking pretty good right now.
  8. I'm sure Harbaugh would be surprised to find out there is an immense amount of talent out there. One thing he does know how to do is secure the most trite, hackneyed, old-school, predictable coaching minds in football. And then tell us how great the results are going to be....yikes!
  9. I have never liked Trestman and he has not shown me anything to make me change my mind. He is supposed to be an offensive wonk who eats, and sleeps this stuff. Well, he is a starving insomniac at this point. I can't see the games most of the time where I live, but listen to them. Even I can see Trestman's gameplans are crap, and he has no feel for the game...AT ALL! There is plenty of blame to go around. We all know Joe is not a quick read or release...he needs time and the O-line is terrible. The front office should be ashamed of themselves they did nothing to address the lack of quality backups in the off season. Hurst has no business on ANY NFL roster, Jensen may have the right attitude but lacks matching talent, and Zuttah should just stop pretending or work harder. So, center, LG, and LT this past game were turnstiles.
  10. I hate to say it but given I was completely wrong about Jimmy Smith I say keep him another season. BUT, make sure there is a back up plan. I would like to know how the coaches handle this type of thing, but I would think they would put him on notice that he is not pulling his weight and this is his last chance.
  11. OOOOPS! I just did a little Googling...forget Shanahan. I don't see him meshing with this team and staff at all given he seems to be a full tilt turdheel.
  12. I like Shanahan's system which is very similar to Kubiak's. West coast based, but emphasizes the run and play action. His philosophy uses ZBS, and the idea is to make the defense run. Shanahan's system can make maximize the performance of any running back, and I like that aspect. Even though I like a Patriots type E-P system for our current roster better I wouldn't mind Shanahan. I just don't want a West Coast purist if there is such athing nowadays.
  13. One with the superpowers of ability to get open, ability to catch the ball, and ability to stay healthy.
