  1. I get goose bumps just watching Ed Reed highlights. You always knew that if a ball was hanging in the air...#20 was coming down with the ball in his hands ready to take it to the house. Man... I miss that!
  2. I don't like the move either. In fact he only had ONE muffed punt. The other "fumble" wasn't even a fumble. The refs screwed that up too. Ross was already down by contact, when the Arizona Cardinal stripped him of the ball. So even if it was a fumble, which it wasn't, then it definitely wasn't a muffed punt.
  3. I understand. Then maybe leave him as a Kick returner. That is where he has averaged 29 yds and no fumbles. Maybe put someone else in as Punt returner. as Punt Returner - 10 Returns (1 real fumble ) as Kick Returner - 7 Returns 0 fumbles and 29 yd avg.
  4. On a team that is so devoid of playmakers I would rather see him back there than not. But that is just my opinion.
  5. That first "fumble" by Ross in Arizona was not a fumble at all. Another Ref botched call. His leg was down when the ball came out. So realistically this is his first fumble. He is a playmaker as a returner and really our only one back there. He provides a spark for the offense with his returns. I would hate to see him removed from that job. He is averaging 29 yards a return.
  6. Michigan is 8-2 and #14 in the country. Just saying.
  7. That's an excellent idea and question. The non-impact fouls don't need to be called when they have nothing to do with the actual play. We could cut down on so many penalties if they just dealt with the fouls that ACTUALLY impacted the play. I love it!
  8. GeeWallee: Yeah it's like they think they are Jedi. Blandino: "These are not the penalties you are looking for!" **As he waves his hands towards the screen**
  9. rmcjacket23: A costly major mistake happens every week and not just to the Ravens. Just listen to Sirius NFL Radio, you can hear it from fans all around the country. And not just fans, there are also previous players, GMs, and others knowledgeable about the game that thinks it needs a major overhaul because of the costly/egregious mistakes. And I am talking about the ones that everyone knows (including the NFL Vice President of Officiating) should have been called or not called..except the ref on the field. Concerning full-time refs. They can be learning the rules and training the other days of the week, during the season. Doesn't matter about the offseason (The players and teachers have an offseason so why can't they) If they are paid well enough for full time positions it doesn't matter. They can also have training sessions and practice for the new rules each year. There is a lot that can be done here. Also we could get new batches of refs every year like the players. We could have rookie refs that don't get to make the calls but observing and learning. And if they have proven that they are good enough, they can get on the field. That is how you can have full-time Refs. We are just accustomed to the way it has always been done and now that way isn't working so great.
  10. Come up with a Fine System for the Refs making major/costly mistakes. I know that based on performance, Refs may not get chosen for future games, but the ante needs to be upped. Also, simplify some of these rules and make sure these guys know everyone of them backwards and forwards before the step on the field. Just as doctors have to memorize a lot of material. So should the Refs. It is a multi-billion dollar industry. Make the Refs full-time employees instead of part-time.
  11. Ok. Having Justin Forsett as one of the Down players is ridiculous. He only got the ball 12 times. 8 in the first half and 4 in the Second half. How can he get it going when he only got the ball 4 times in the second half. And also talking about Jeremy Ross's fumble issues is just dumb. According to the NFL Rules (http://operations.nfl.com/the-rules/2015-nfl-rulebook/#rule-7.-ball-in-play,-dead-ball,-scrimmage) Section two says that whenever the player's leg above the ankle is down on the ground, the player is down and the play should be dead at that point. Ross clearly had the ball when his shin was on the ground..but the Refs automatically "assumed" Ross fumbled because the Cardinals came up with the ball? Really? So bringing up Ross' fumble issues is dumb. He didn't put the ball on the ground and the ball was stripped after he was down on the ground. #rantover
  12. Losing to the Browns and Josh McCown said a lot.
  13. Breshad Perriman 40yd Dash - 4.24 Torrey Smith 40yd Dash - 4.36 Darren Waller 40yd Dash - 4.46 Antonio Brown 40yd Dash - 4.47 So I think Darren Waller could easily be that guy since he seems to catch everything and he is 6'6. Antonio Brown is 5'10. Darren Waller is taller and faster than Antonio Brown.
  14. That's because, at least with the Patriots, they are known for not really sharing useful injury information. And the other teams you mentioned have their share of injuries too. You just have to look in the right place. http://www.milehighreport.com/2015/8/1/9084907/nfl-training-camp-2015-denver-broncos-day-2-practice-report Look at all the injuries for the Broncos. So, we aren't the only ones. It's just part of the game.
  15. Torrey had 11 TDs last season, not 8. That is the only stat I really care about at WR. I don't care if he didn't get a bunch of yards, the purpose of the offense is to score points, not rack up yardage. Torrey did that last year. I like Perriman, I just hope that he is a playmaker and can score a lot of TDs.
