Not to be rude, but whomever decided that FB and Twitter were better vessels for fans to connect, needs to have their head examined.

I come here for quality football talk and I will certainly not get it anywhere else because I DONT HAVE A FREAKING SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT. I can't wait to have out quality community here battle with twitter trolls and give up on team social media.

FACT.  I don't have a twidder account nor do I want one.  I am following the RAVENS FB page, but that is far far far far from any sort of  "community" in any true sense. Not to mention the format is not conducive to continuing dialog.

This discontinuation is just a bad bad idea.
It is like chopping off two fingers because the others are working "just fine" .  FB has its place and its people.  Twidder has its place and its people.   Message boards, same thing.  Some means work better with some and not so much for others. All are very unique in their own way.  The discontinuation of these boards is completely and totally alienating a segment of the fan base.  In my opinion it is inexcusable.

Quality >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Quantity....It applies in every aspect of life....Would you trade Mosley for bunch of undrafted rookies?

I would take 10 guys in this message board community over 100k trolls on FB or twitter or any social platform....

For monetary reason, I don't think there's a big jump, but slightly jump instead.

For expanding pool of fans, I don't think there's any improvement; may be some bandwagon fans.

If the Ravens organization want to expand their fan base, wouldn't it be better to have both message board and FB?

PS: I think whoever made this decision isn't thinking about fans' feelings and the money they saved is not going to replace the heart and soul of this community...

Man I wish I wrote this.

    Absolutely spot on.

And yes I do feel snubbed by the organization.

This is the thing - the draft is when these boards are at their most useful outside of actual gamedays...

    Fact.
I learn more about new players here than I do anywhere.  The main page doesn't present ANYWHERE NEAR the amount of information, videos and links that these pages do.

Man, if they are gonna dump the boards the best time would be the end of February, after we celebrate our third Super Bowl victory.

Is there anyway to keep this up through the end of the 2017 season? It's bad timing to close the forums right in the middle of free agency and a month before the draft?

The timing is the worst, okay, maybe not the worst, but of I mean in the off season, now is the time when things are getting exciting once again. It is a terrible idea to shut it down either way, but the timing is bad.
I love how they say " careful consideration"  I don't think that was the case.

Am I the only one that's kind of getting worried that Cleveland will soon be competitive with the rest of the division? With 2 first round picks this year, a ton of cap space, and already a decent roster, the fact that the Browns could soon be a semi competitive team has me worried. The AFC North is tough enough already. But hey maybe we can get lucky and the Bengals will collapse or something.

I have been saying this for two or three years now.  I got laughed at a lot, but I am standing by this.  Soon, I don't know when, but soon the Browns are going to be division competitors. Not just us, the whole division.

  6. Yeah I don't think we were going to resign him anyway but it seems his odd of getting signed by anyone just went down dramatically.

It is a shame. I liked the kid.

The stupid decision making makes my head hurt. The odds of "making it" in the NFL are SO slim. Why would you risk stacking the odds against your self? He just played through his rookie contract and no more. That means he is going to have to work the rest of his life.

He lost that when he said some WWE wrestler would beat the crap out of Bruce Lee and called Bruce Lee "just an actor"...........

But.....Its definitely a interesting topic.  I would think it will happen some day.

Yeah he lost me quite some time before that, but I still enjoy the majority of his posts.

Anyone seen Split?  If so, how was it?

Yes.  LOVED it.  Disclaimer I am a big fan of Shyamalan, so I am admittedly bias. That said I am not a homer.  I can easily admit he has had quite a few stinkers.

I would say it is worth seeing.  It doesn't have to be big screen though.
