Should be a Raven ;pShould be a Charger.
I'm curious why you don't like him. He is a pretty well rounded back who can pass protect, catch, and run. His legs should be fresh from playing in a timeshare and he has shined when given the opportunity. He's had a 1000 yd season as a backup!
Stewart is always getting hurt. That's my only problem with him.
In reverse order.
Us guys in the back are screwed otherwise
I think the order can be completely scrambled.
adding the special teams element to it, would bring back some strategy
ST will not be mandatory even if we expand to 33 rounds.
Any new thoughts on coach draft!? I really want one
I dont care about that tbh. If someone else wants to put it together I'm fine with it.
I'll take 2-3 years of him but I should probably consider drafting a developmental player to be his successor
Btw since you're in charge of this, any word on if we add extra rounds
I'm going to put up a vote once we hit round 20. If everyone wants to keep going then we can keep going. Personally, I would rather stay at 25 because I think it makes it more challenging. Expanding the draft to 33 just becomes a matter of filling out a depth chart without having to strategize which positions are most meaningful.
Nice. I have three players who are 30, but they play OL and safety. Then I have the Peanut who is 32 but one of the best at his position, I'm anxious to see if he declines this season.
I love Tillman, I dont think there is any player in the NFL that is more adept at forcing fumbles. It's a real skill that he has mastered. He's also excellent in coverage, but he did show a few signs of decline in that area last year as he let up a fairly high Catch % to opposing receivers, but that could have more to do with scheme than declining skills. I think he has at least 2-3 more productive years left.
I'd like a mixture of vets and youth to be successful in the present and future. Therefore, my average is 27.7
I still have quite a few vets, but just 2 players 30 or older. The median age of my team is 28.
Same here. I've been building young this whole time.
Yup, it's been a focus for me. My oldest player is 31 and he plays OG which is a position I am comfortable having older players.
So far, the average age of my team is 25.
Just checked my team, and the mean age is 25.9. I like having a young team.
I'm definitely finishing my DL with my next pick which is about 50+ picks away.
As long as I land any one of these guys, then I'm happy.
Sammie Lee Hill
Terrence Cody
Jason Jones
Sylvester Williams
Kawann Shorts
Brandon Thompson
Kendall Langford
Dontari Poe
Johnathan Hankins
Terrence Knighton
CJ Mosley
Vance Walker
Kevin Vickerson
Broderick Bunkley
Devin Still
I hope you are stuck with Cody.
5 but I know what you mean.
Thanks. I had Hairston rated higher as well.
He played 15 snaps in one game and 25 in the other, so more like 3 1/2 games if you want to be technical.
I may be mistaken but didn't Will Smith suck last year? At this point in the draft it's not a bad pick however
Yeah, he was absolutely horrible as a pass-rusher, but he is still solid against the run.
Looking at my roster, offensive line was a weakness in my opinion as I only had Brandon Albert and Brian De La Puente, while lots of people had full OLs or close to full.
Almost all of the good tackle had gone off of the board and I still had Gilbert rated pretty highly. He is going to be the Steelers starting LT this season but he will play RT for me. He is just 25 years old and is becoming a very good tackle. Last season, he didn't give up a sack.
Well he only played 3 games...but still a good pick. He was the next highest rated OT on my board if I didnt land Hairston.
i agree with all that.....but if any franchise knows that a defense full of experienced veterens can win a superbowl its baltimore
That's true, although the majority of the Ravens defense was relatively young last year. It was really just Ray and Ed who were getting up there in years.
then you both misunderstood what i posted
I see what you mean, and if that is in fact true, maybe he will manage to stay healthy. But there are no guarantees that he will, and as he gets older the injuries become more frequent and more problematic. It's just the nature of the game, especially for a player like Troy who plays with such intensity.
he isn't on the field right now.....but troy is in training camp...ed is not and wont be....and troy has had two seasons of injuries...but he still makes those plays that your used to seeing when on the field...and he feels this year he will stay healthy...he said so on multiple occasions this year...if you know troy he doesn't talk to talk...
i have plenty of youth....the best teams are a mesh of youth and experience
Does Troy ever go into the season saying "you know what, I dont think I am going to stay healthy?" lol Of course not. He cant just decide whether he wants to stay healthy or not. He is just like Ben, always nicked up.
Troy was rated a top 100 player this year....so the players don't agree with you....also I watch him much more than you do...so just because you have a sort memory and cant remember three years ago he was DPOY...also ed reed is not better than either of them right now...he might not even be healthy this year already...troy and clark are going to start week one....cant say that about reed........also two years for a player at this stage is fine.....manning was picked top ten and he has maybe two years...im trying to win now....and I have a very young front seven
At least Ed Reed is on the field. Can't say that about Troy, and yes he is better than a player who can't stay healthy. But that isnt the point. They didn't slide because they are Steelers, they happen to be old Steelers. Plenty of younger players on your team have been taken at appropriate points in this draft.
ryan clark is older but there have been a lot of safety's picked before him that are no where near as good...and in worse shape
also I know you guys disagree but troy is still a great safety.....he had two injury prone seasons...but when he is on the field he is great...he was rated a top 100 player and I got him in the 200's...so yea they fell do to age but also because you guys don't like them.
which ones are you surprised with......troy and clark I talked about above.......Heyward is a young star.....Big Ben was the best QB when I picked......Jones is one of my personal favorites and you know how I feel about that pick...so who was a suprise
Nope, it's really just because they are old. I like Ryan Clark a lot as a player, but he is going to be 34. Polamalu is an old 32 who is on the decline. Just look at how long Ed Reed lasted. He is a better safety than both whose game still translates in his older age because he doesnt play in the box, but he still lasted really long due to age. You might have 2 productive years left in those players. I would much rather take a young player with upside that has his entire career ahead of him.
Im happy with Clark as my free safety...he is older but he still plays the position very well....also I have troy so they are great together
im trying not to take steelers but they are falling farther then they would on any other board ....so at this point clark is great value
I think they have fallen because they are old, not because they are Steelers.
Culliver is a good pick. He's talented, but I can't stand him. He also go burned in the SB.
Kerry was a great pick! He was phenomenal last year and idk how he is still a FA. Wisnewski was already picked I think
I have a feeling he hasn't been signed for non football reasons.
Wisniewski is taken already.
From what I watched Harris looked better. Just my opinion though. Of course Bailey is an all time great but he had his rough spots in the season.
Pretty sure Champ lined up on the opposing teams best WR most if the time.

Excellent pick in Moore. He was going to be my selection next round if he was still available. Now I have to rethink things.
