Tucker will be extended or tagged. Upshaw will be allowed to walk, although I will wager they offer him something cheap. K.O. I think is gone. 20% he re-signs, 80% he goes elsewhere. Not enough cap space and he will demand top money. $9-10M/year won't surprise me.

Based off the penalty it seems like a PED suspension for Boyle, although it could be triggered by something like Adderrall that the NFL considers "performance enhancing"

I thought Forte was an interesting comp for Sims, so pairing them is kinda cool.

I do think speed to power is an a lot of ways a natural skill. You can see it with Von Miller. You can see it with Joey Bosa. Length helps create leverage, but a lot of it comes from the hips as well. Not every player has it in them.

I think some of the technique can be learned and getting stronger should help as well, but his lack of length concerns me a bit. I'm not sure it's something that is talked about enough.

Actually, he is. He uses his speed off the edge the vast majority of his rush attempts. I've seen a handful of times he uses a speed move to the inside, but he doesn't have a counter. He doesn't have a bull-rush. His one trick is a very good one, but he needs to learn some better moves when it doesn't work, because it won't be as effective in the NFL as in college.

Forte is a bargain at 2.5 stars.

I think this is probably true, but it's not a big difference imo. Both are speed guys off the edge, neither have great counters if that doesn't work. Neither have a consistent power move/bullrush. Calhoun I think is a little bendier and has a little more length.

Taking a bit of a risk on Vernon Davis, but as a complimentary piece I think he can be a nice weapon, and at 1 star he's not very costly.

This is a debate that none of us will really know the details of unless Spence is drafted or media can uncover specifics of what is said in interviews. If we are talking about the #6 pick and not a trade back situation , I can think of a number of players that will be available that have similar talent level to Spence.

I'd like someone to explain to me how Noah Spence is appreciably better than Shilique Calhoun, because I see a lot of similar things from them.

Bosa is a 6'6" and is a better interior rusher than Buckner is imo. Also one of the best Edge run defenders I have ever seen. You literally can't move him on the edge. I agree that Bosa has the athleticism to play OLB no problem. He would be like Pernell McPhee on steroids for us.
