  4. First post in a while, but I've done a lot of draft research and here is my take on what the Ravens will be looking for in the first round. 1. Joey Bosa 2. Laremy Tunsil 3. Jalen Ramsey 4. Laquon Treadwell 5. Robert Nkemdiche* 6. Myles Jack 7. DeForest Buckner 8. Vernon Hargreaves 9. Corey Coleman 10. Ronnie Stanley 11. A'Shawn Robinson 12. Shaq Lawson 13. Jaylon Smith** 14. Mackensie Alexander 15. Ezekiel Elliot 16. Emmanuel Ogbah 17. Michael Thomas 18. Noah Spence* 19. Taylor Decker 20. Jonathan Allen 21. Josh Doctson 22. Darron Lee 23. Kenny Clark 24. Shilique Calhoun 25. Su'A Cravens *Character/off-field concerns could cause drop ** major injury could cause drop
  5. Patriots Chad Greenway 2 stars
  6. Lawson in this worst case scenario. He's a very good pass-rusher, stout run defender, and showed at the combine he has underrated athleticism as well.

  8. Patriots LB Vincent Rey 2 stars
  9. Patriots Derrick Johnson 7 stars

  11. That would be a fantastic draft. I think a lot of people have forgotten about Fuller because of his injury and that ugly play vs Michael Thomas early in the season, but he's really good. I think he was a better college player than his brother Kyle who was a pretty high pick.
  12. He absolutely destroyed Rob Havenstein who was the Rams best OL this past year. I'm pretty sure he has played some pretty solid OTs in the Big Ten. Michigan State, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin always seem to have solid NFL prospects.
  13. I was talking about drafted players, but signing Dumervil just re-affirms my point. Yes, he's shorter but he also was pretty widely viewed as a far better fit as a weakside 4-3 DE than a 3-4 OLB. The Ravens didn't care because he's a great pass-rusher. Dumervil isn't at his best dropping into coverage, but he still does it at times without being a huge liability. It's not like we are asking our OLBs to cover TEs man to man with any kind of frequency, that's the job of the ILB or Safety in our scheme.
  14. I don't know what type of body-type you think the Ravens are looking for in a 3-4 OLB, but Bosa fits the mold more closely than Spence based off their history of picking OLBs. Terrell Suggs was 6'3"/263 pounds Paul Kruger was 6'4"/263 pounds Courtney Upshaw was 6'2"/272 pounds Pernell McPhee was 6'3"/278 pounds Joey Bosa is 6'5"/269 pounds which is right in line with previous Ravens OLBs. They clearly prefer bigger OLBs, so in reality Spence who is listed at 6'2"/251 would be the outlier, not Bosa. Given the fact that Bosa fared considerably better in agility tests and has similar speed despite weighing 20 pounds more, I fail to see how Bosa doesn't fit the profile for OLB but Spence does.
  15. I would echo the first two posts, and say worst case scenario is Bosa, Tunsil, Ramsey, Jack, Buckner all coming off the board before us and we take Stanley. If the draft unfolds like that, I would be praying for a trade back and hope to pick up Shaq Lawson, Noah Spence, Hargreaves or Treadwell.
  16. I can see why you would have Tunsil higher than Jack, but I think the defense needs an injection of talent a lot more than the OL. Also drafting a LT means having to dump Monroe which I dislike from a resource allocation standpoint. Yes, Tunsil would be a better player, but that's a lot of cap and draft resources tied up in one position. I don't see any red flags from Treadwell unless you think he is something that he isn't. He's never been an explosive WR, but he brings the overall package that profiles as a #1 WR. He has great size, elite body control, strong at the catch point, great hands, strong route-running, ability to pick up YAC. Worst case you're looking at Alshon Jeffery imo. Vernon Butler had a poor combine and the tape isn't good enough to place him higher, I think he's a day 2 talent.
  17. Sorry, but this is just patently false. First of all Bosa is more sudden than Spence. He blew Spence out of the water in the 3C drill and short shuttle, and Bosa is considerably bigger making it that much more impressive. Secondly, there is negligible difference between what you want from a 4-3 DE compared to a 3-4 DE in terms of rushing the passer. The only difference is occasionally rushing from a 2 point stance instead of a 3 point stance and dropping in coverage a handful more times. Then consider that Bosa is world's better as a run defender.
  18. Gotcha, I think that kind of versatility is a bonus for a team like the Ravens that uses multiple fronts.
  19. What's the difference as a 4-3 DE and 3-4 OLB? They both rush the passer no?
  20. I still feel pretty good about my initial board, but a few updates post combine: 1. Joey Bosa 2. Jalen Ramsey 3. Myles Jack 4. Laremy Tunsil 5. DeForest Buckner 6. LaQuon Treadwell 7. Shaq Lawson 8. Vernon Hargreaves 9. Corey Coleman 10. Robert Nkemdiche* 11. Noah Spence* 12. Ronnie Stanley 13. Sheldon Rankins 14. Ezekiel Elliot 15. Mackensie Alexander 16. Josh Doctson 17. Kevin Dodd 18. Darron Lee 19. Emmanuel Ogbah 20. Andrew Billings 21. Jack Conklin 22. Michael Thomas 23. Jason Spriggs 24. Shilique Calhoun 25. Kenny Clark *Character/Off-field concerns ** Jaylon Smith would be #5 if not for reports indicating he will miss all of 2016
  21. Ramsey putting on the show we all expected. Still have Bosa a nose ahead of him because he's a bigger impact player right away and I always prefer DL over secondary, but Ramsey has probably the highest ceiling of any player in the draft.
  22. I think the balance thing is overblown. He seems to lose balance at random times moving laterally, not when he is bending the edge. I don't know what you mean by a hybrid guy, but his primary position would be OLB. He might play some 3T in sub-packages but I see him primarily as an edge rusher.
  23. I don't think the Ravens would really consider Floyd as an option at OLB. He's too skinny and poor vs the run.
  24. some of you guys really love Noah Spence lol His 10yd split was good, so I wouldn't read too much into 4.80 but it's not going to help his stock any. More concerning are his pedestrian jumps and below average 3C and SS. For a speed guy, he really didn't help himself out much.
  25. Bosa put up incredible numbers at the combine. He destroyed the 20yd SS and 3C drill so any talk about him lacking agility and flexion are out of line.
