  1. If two-gappping isn't effective how come our defense is one of the best against the run in the NFL?
  2. Yes, that would be an obvious and amazing choice but he is projected as a top 10-15 talent. I don't think he would fall that far given his ability and the nature of the injury he had not being too serious.
  3. CB is a bigger deficiency than LB right now, although the current LB corps is pretty bad. Zach Orr has flashed ability in coverage which is a good sign for the future. I expect him to take over next year next to Mosley. Smith or Jack would be great players but the Ravens can't afford to use another high pick at that position. ILB is just a lot easier to fill compared to WR, CB, pass-rush, OT, etc.
  4. Treadwell or trade back. I love Jaylon Smith and Myles Jack, but we already made thd mistake of taking an ILB too early. Don't want to double down even though bith of them are better than Mosley.
  5. He's staying in school. Probably the right move for him.
  6. I just don't think this is a very good class of edge rushers after Bosa, and even with Bosa there are couple things you could knock him for. Lawson I think is a top 15 player. He plays with power and has a very good motor. I agree that he lacks elite speed of the edge, but he makes up for it a bit with a nice bull and counter moves including that spin move which is niiiice. Ogbah has very good size/length, but he doesn't use it well. He has more speed off the edge than Lawson, but he doesn't play with power consistently considering his size. He plays too high and doesn't have a good counter move. He has a lot of upside, but I'm not sold on him. Calhoun has ideal size, plays hard, but I feel like he can be inconsistent. He has a slow get-off imo. I'm keeping my eye on him as a guy whose stock might rise. I feel like he is lacking in the power element even though he looks like a guy who would be stronger. Eric Striker has speed off the edge, but I do think he is too small for a 3-4. He's going to be best as a 4-3 OLB. Jordan Jenkins is also small. I still need to watch a few guys like Carl Lawson and Nassib
  7. I haven't heard anything definitive either way, but it makes sense if he thinks he will be a first round pick next draft.
  8. Yeah, he's a playmaker. Medical eval is clearly going to be critical here. I think he will be among several nice WR options in the 2nd round.
  9. 2016 cap numbers came out? Even with some likely cuts and Flacco extension, the Ravens are still going to be tight against the cap from what I have seen. I think Webb and Hill would be a good tandem at safety. That would allow Lewis to be let go or kept as a reserve where he could compete with Brooks/Elam and maybe Levine or Trawick as reserves at the position. That's not terrible. Wright has actually played decently at CB and we will be getting Will Allen back. I'd try to re-sign Wright for cheap and draft a CB early, hope Walker develops and Jimmy bounces back. In this scenario, I think Hargreaves is the best option, but I wouldn't mind taking a guy like Kendall Fuller in the 2nd. There are some other mid round guys I like as well, so if we went WR or Edge in the first round, I think the secondary will still be improved without having to invest too many resources there. edit: according to this article via Schefter, expect a $7-10M increase http://www.si.com/nfl/2015/12/04/nfl-salary-cap-2016-season-projected-rise
  10. It's pretty costly to cut him loose, but it could happen. I think he still has value as a safety and slot CB, I just don't want to see him playing outside.
  11. Definitely not early, CB is a much more pressing need imo. I get the feeling Ravens are going to move Webb to FS next year anyways.
  12. I like Lawson more than Ogbah, but they are close. For some reason I don't trust pass-rushers out of the Big12.
  13. Osemele is gone after this year, making OL a bit more of a priority. Urschel will likely step into that role though. Bigger question on the OL is durability of Monroe and Wagner contract status and level of play. Tunsil would be a great addition, but he looks to be a top 3 pick.
  14. Pretty sure there is zero chance Bosa will be part of the equation now, unless things go very strange to end the season. If by some chance he's there, he's the guy. I don't get how anyone could object to him if you watch how he dominates games. He reminds me of Aaron Donald in a lot of ways, explosive get-off, elite power, and advanced use of hands for a college player. He has the physical gifts and is already technically refined.
  15. I think it is just as rare to have a chance at a talent like Bosa. Pass-rush has been a bigger problem than the OL this year, and it is only going to get worse when Suggs and Dumervil reitire or move on. It's a lot easier to scheme around mediocre pass protection than mediocre pass-rush imo.
  16. I like Lawson. He's the 2nd best Edge rusher imo, I'm not sold on him as a top 10 player though. Ogbah is nasty, but also think he is more of a 3T/5T which we don't really need. The Ravens one position of strength right now is DT. He would be hard to pass on, but I prefer getting a stud like Treadwell.
  17. Hurst has been atrocious, and having him as the back-up LT is bad. I think there are cheaper/better options than a top 3 pick on an OT though. If we are picking ~8-10, I think Stanley might be there and he might be the best BPA at that point.
  18. Treadwell would be my pick if those guys you mentioned are gone.
  19. We are about to witness the ugliest MNF game ever.
  20. I think both are elite prospects, but pass-rush is harder to find imo. Also a huge need both immediately and for the future. To me Bosa has to be the pick.
  21. Pass-rush is king. If Bosa is on the board, he is the pick, no question about it. He can line up all over the DL and be a force.
  22. Ravens are going to be tight against the cap, so any FA of consequence is unlikely.
  23. He's not going to just go out and do different things in the next few games, and he is not a senior, so he might not get a chance to do so at the Senior Bowl either unless he gets the redshirt junior invite. The reality is there are very few college WRs who run a full NFL route tree, and even if they do it doesn't guarantee any success at the next level. Looking at the skill-set and evaluating how it will translate is what is important.
