  1. I think Victor Cruz is a solid option to look at if we don't see any other cuts come in after June 1. Last year was his first year back from that big injury and he started off pretty slow with only 15 receptions through the first 8 games, but in the last 8 games he had 24 receptions. Otherwise the only real options out there are Boldin, Hawkins or Floyd (who we probably won't touch because of his suspension).
  2. Here are some of my top players available for the Ravens on day 2... let me know if you think I'm missing any others. Forrest Lamp LG/RT - W Kentucky Cam Robinson, RT/G Alabama JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC Tyus Bowser, LB, Houston Jordan Willis, LB Kansas Carl Lawson, LB Auburn Curtis Samuel, WR, Ohio State Tim Williams, LB, Alabama Zay Jones, WR, East Carolina Zach Cunningham, LB Vandy Pat Elfein, C Ohio State Chris Godwin, WR Penn St
  3. I also have questions if he's meant to be in a 3-4 base defense or not.
  4. Or it could mean that: - they feel good about Correa's future as an ILB - they have other ILB's in this draft class closely rated to Foster - They had someone else on the board rated higher than Foster
  5. DAMN. hahahahahah
  6. Wouldn't be too thrilled with this. Ryan Switzer is my "late round" guy this year, but round 3 is too early for him. I LOVE him and I don't think I'd even consider him before the 4th, but the 5th or 6th round is probably the highest most teams will draft him at because of his size.
  7. Big fan of Switzer. This wouldn't be my ideal draft but I guess we could do worse. McDowell seems like a slight reach at 16 though, I think we could trade back into the early-mid 20s to get him.
  8. I think he'd be a reliable player and a good compliment to what we already have. If I was Ozzie, my offer to the eagles would be Eagles get Ravens 3rd Round Comp Pick (99 overall) Ravens get Jordan Matthews + Eagles 4th Rounder (118 overall) Seems like a win/win for both teams.
  9. Not arguing who the better player is but... last year Mo Claiborne had 1 interception and 5 passes defensed, while Carr had 1 interception and 9 passes defensed.
  10. I haven't read most of the new posts on this board since yesterday's loss, but I've read enough to know that people are a little panicked about the rest of the season. Obviously, I think this team has A LOT of problems that need to be addressed, but I think there's a little reason for optimism. 1. We're still only 1 game behind Pittsburgh for the lead in the division and they play New England next week (likely without Ben Roethlisberger). Considering we face the Jets next week, there's a decent chance we go into our Bye week tied for first in the division with a chance to take control of our season if we beat the Steelers. Luckily, the Bengals seem to be struggling a bit this year as well and their schedule is pretty tough. 2. This team had a LOT of injuries last year and mostly less-serious injuries so far this season. Some of the players are still coming back and getting into form, and a lot of our players are young. I think most of us predicted for these reasons that this team would be better in the later half of the year than the first half, although most of us got our hopes up when we started 3-0. I think specifically Joe is still uncomfortable and uncertain with his knee, but there are reasons to believe the offensive line, Joe and our receivers will all be better after a few weeks under Mornhinweg I think we all know that a bit of good fortune will be necessary to keep this season on track, but there are still reasons to be hopeful.
  11. He's done approximately what I've expected from him in his first real season (and as the 4th receiver on the depth chart). For comparison, Torrey Smith who was the 2nd/3rd receiver on the depth chart had about 850 yards each of his first 2 seasons.
  12. Saying Noah Spence has 5.5 sacks already and that we should have taken him instead doesn't take into consideration the fact that we play a vastly different defense than the Bucs. I really don't think Spence was suited to play in our system, which is probably why we didn't take him. You can have a very talented player that doesn't fit your needs, and just because he plays well for another team doesn't mean it was a bad idea to not draft him. We have no way of knowing if Spence would be playing this well for us right now, or even knowing if he'd be playing at all (like Correa). Many rookies struggle to play their rookie years and go on to have fine careers. Correa was the talk of Mini Camp and parts of training camp, so the coaches and media definitely saw the talent there. Now he just needs to work on translating that to the field.
  13. Moore has been tremendous on ST. I do think that he'll start to get more looks on offense, but I'm more excited to see his development in year 2.
  14. ahh you may be right.
  15. I actually believe that suspensions include the Bye week, so Boyle can return to practice on Monday. Tom Brady served a 4 week suspension and came back to play week 5, despite the Patriots having a Bye in Week 4.
  16. Lol, he almost caught the game-winning pass. If this was college, it would have been a Ravens win. The offensive line hasn't protected well enough for him to get many chances. He'll be fine.
  17. I think we'll be okay without Lewis. I'm confident in Urschel/Jensen to do a good job. Stanley is a different story, and I hope he can play.
  18. While I agree with you, we do know that coaches do sometimes give the nod to a guy with more experience even if the younger player may show more promise. When it comes to center play, one or two bad snaps can completely change the outcome of a game, and you also count on your center to make line calls to make sure they have the right protection. Both of these things may be the reason Zuttah is still starting over Jensen or Urschel, even if that means that Urschel and Jensen may be better blockers than Zuttah is at this time.
  19. Sure. It's also just as possible that they go 3-2. I'm hoping for at least 4-1.
  20. Agree. I think the best combination for our RB's would be 10-12 a game for West, 8-10 for Dixon and 5-10 for Forsett. The biggest issue with phasing out Forsett a little is that I think he understands our pass protection scheme the most. He still adds value to the offense because of that, but as a runner he just isn't where he was 2 years ago.
  21. Could be just as big of an issue for them as it is for us.
  22. The injury to Linder is a big story to watch. I haven't watched him play much, but according to most people he's their best offensive lineman. It's especially huge considering Beachum is also hurt, and Joeckel would probably slide from LG to LT. That would mean that their starting LT, LG and C will have never played together before and none of them are the best options the Jaguars have for those respective positions. If this ends up as their starting lineup, I definitely expect Pees to look and try to exploit this weakness.
  23. I think Carter may be one of the first, especially because I think he only made the team since Doom was hurt. I've noticed Correa on ST more than I've noticed Carter, although I'm not positive that who has actually played more snaps. Outside of Carter, I agree with others that it would probably be Canady or Price, although I think with Canady playing as a gunner more often he may stay on the active roster.
  24. I think he's definitely still working his way back into game shape. I think he'll come on stronger in the pass rush department as the year goes on. If anything, I think he'd be more effective as a 4-3 End then a 4-3 OLB though.
  25. It's like the opposite of the infamous "Ed Reed is on the decline" thread from the Scout forums.
