  1. I don't think a restructure or extension is likely with Nagata this year, although next year is a totally diffrent thing. This year he will make 8,5M i base salary with a cap number of 16M and the last year (2015) of his deal is the exact same, that means that if we extend him lets say another two years his cap number might go down this and next year with maybe around five million, we would essentially borrow against the future cap. Ozzie has said he wont do this again... Look at it year by year (I don't think Ngata would even consider anything under 9M per year at this point) Signing Bonus:22M (His base salary 14+15 adds to 17M and he wouldnt take a pay cut i belive) 2014: Base: 1M Prorated Bonus: 2,5M (To save 5M in cap this year) Dead money from last deal: 7,5M Cap Number: 11M(Previously 16M) 2015: Base: 3M P Bonus: 2,5M (Saves 3M against 2015 Cap) Dead money from last deal: 7,5M Cap Number: 13M (Previously 16M) 2016: Base: 5M P Bonus: 8,5M Cap number:13,5M (Cut saves nothing actually costs 3,5M against cut) 2018: Base: 5M P Bonus: 8,5M Cap Number:13,5M (Cut would save 5M with 8,5M dead against cap)
  2. Breakdown: Signing bonus 11M Y1: 1M, Cap 7.8M Y2: 4M, Cap 6.6M Y3: 4.5M, Cap 6,7M (Cut saves 0,5M) Y4: 4M, Cap 6M (Cut saves 2M) Y5: 4M. Cap 6M (Cut saves 4M) So essantially a three year and the evaluate deal, nice deal for both the team and the player
  3. Nice of Oz to get it done My guess to contract would be: 5 years 10 million bonus Year 1: Base 1 mil Cap number 3 mil ( Saving 5,7 mil agaisnt the cap this year) Year 2: B 2 mil Cap 4 mil Year 3: B 3,5 mil Cap 5,5 mil Year 4: B 5 mil Cap 7 mil (A release her would save 1 mil against cap) Year 5: B 5 mil Cap 7 mil (A release her 3 mil against cap) That would be a total deal of 26,5 millions for 5 years
