It seems like we got to the point where the staff feels the wrs are able to get yards after the catch so it leads to a change in philosophy.
13 minutes ago, Stevin said:and how about Elam? )
Yeah he's getting there too. kinda feel bad cause he was said to look focused going into camp last yr.
18 minutes ago, ravensdan said:The precedent is set with those guys. Chargers haven't picked in the top 5 and are being contrary. I'm not sure why so many have the natural reaction to jump on players and take teams side.
As opposed to the natural reaction to side with the player?
but back to who set the precedent. Again if 19 of 24 top 5 picks have faced this same type of issue then it's not a precedent being set by the Chargers.
1 hour ago, ravensdan said:That's the misconception that was floating around. They are negotiating off sets or up front pay out of bonus. Bosa will take one or the other ( of which 19 of the 24 previous top 5 picks have gotten). Chargers are holding on to both based on their team precedent only.
If 19 of the last 24 got on or the other then it's not sd setting the precedent with bosa
Of course the Dolphins staff isn't going to run and restrain the best rookie LT in all of football. It's to far of a run from Miami to Baltimore
Not surprised with Richardson.
So Arthur brown part of first cuts?
22 minutes ago, January J said:Not an excuse- just stating the facts. I have heard of the guy and I pull for all of our players. Coaches wouldn't come out public with anything like that anyway , it would he handled in-house off camera, you know that. As far as anything else - see my last post. Nobody is saying off with his head or anything of the sort. Just that when 3 veterans all get into a scuffle with the same guy and one of our top prospects gets injured - it COULD be a potential issue and usually where there's smoke there's fire.
Anyway now that we've beat this topic to death let's move on and talk about something else of actual importance.
Again you were asked for proof. You provided a link that only one player tried to fight him and claimed it to show three. After it was pointed out you made up a other excuse and here another one.
Its simple. Come with proof that he's playing dirty which will include video or coaches talking about it or stop trying to address it.
of course I can use your logic and say Correa is playing dirty because of the flacco and pitta getting mad at him..
So I understand what you're doing. You're bragging that Tunsil is getting first team reps at guard for Miami over a guy that was rated as one of the worse guards last yr. congrats I guess. You get a cookie now.
10 minutes ago, January J said:Not in that particular quote but yes, there has been 3 instances where his teammates got upset with him. Not sure why your so pressed on voguing for the guy but whatever. He your relative or somethin? I'm just looking out for our teams best interest and obviously several others share a small concern.
And again it's you using the link to back up your opinion then when pointed out that it doesn't say what you claim it did you now have another excuse. I get it you don't like the guys you haven't heard of but until you post video or coaches expressing concern you have no leg to stand on.

What is funny is it says juice to exception to what MIGHT be considered a high hit.
So I'm not going to fault a guy when even the description of the hit doesn't guarantee it being questionable.

And old little bit of advice I received in management was praise in public, discipline in private
That's great but also is the advice of believe half of what you see and none of what you hear. No one here has seen, let alone shown me why I should be in the camp of "off with his head"
9 minutes ago, rossihunter2 said:i definitely voted for brown when this poll first turned up just out of hope that he could finally make the leap and win the starting job - but obviously that doesn't look like its even a remote possibility - it looks like he isnt even earning any rotational reps - when you're missing a starting ILB and a couple of safeties are noticeably getting reps ahead of you then it looks like the answer to the question who will start is "anyone but arthur brown"
Man I didn't even think of the fact that brown is getting such few reps with the 1s and 2s till now. How depressing
6 minutes ago, rossihunter2 said:as far as im aware, Harbs isnt an idiot - onwuasor was really being that reckless or dangerous something would have been said or he would have been sent from the practice field or he would have been sent packing by Ozzie - the fact that none of those things appear to have happened leads me to believe that the hits were fine which would suggest they are the kind of hits i want more of as a ravens fan
Yeah I'm in this camp. If it was malicious as the way some have typed then it would have been addressed.
12 hours ago, Ravenseconbeast said:How is Arthur Brown top of the list in polls next to CJ Mosley?
Arthur can't even be a depth guy @ ILB position.
Zach Orr seems most likely to be the guy. Then Mcllelan followed by our hybrid pass rusher KC
He's probably at the top because people are voting for him saying that they hoped he improved enough to start.
11 minutes ago, BmoreBird22 said:Just curious, why even defend him? He's, at best, sixth on the depth chart currently and he doesn't need to deliver shots that may injure another player.
Not defending him per se but I'll always defend effort. Honestly if he's playing within the rules and our offense is whining because he's playing physical then they'll need to get their heads straight and remember to write him a thank you letter steelers week
1 hour ago, Jacquouille said:Just wanted to add, I recall Onwuasor was kicked out of Arizona for character concerns, so it's legitimate to be causcious with him.
And again what does that have to do with the claims made about him in practice. Not looking for any opinions on what happened. I'm looking for facts on it. This isn't hard if you think about it people said he was dirty so they can provide factual events. To point to guys getting tackled getting upset doesn't say if the hit was in fact dirty after all these are testosterone filled athletes playing a contact sport.
2 minutes ago, bravensfan52 said:I hope it's not KC cause we need pass rushers but if he can play inside on 1 and 2 with bring the heat from inside and outside I'll be more than happy with him being situational
Think the idea is to get the best players and most rushers on the field at one time. If he's doing awesome at rushing and we can find a way to get him, Z, Suggs and doom on the field at the same time I'm all for it.
4 minutes ago, January J said:"Rookie undrafted linebacker Patrick Onwuasor
continued his physical ways. Onwuasor first decked fellow undrafted rookie defensive tackle Trevon Coley
on a special teams drill. Then he clobbered fullback Kyle Juszczyk
on 11-on-11 red zone work. Juszczyk didn't appreciate it and got in his face as the two were quickly separated. Onwuasor has now hit rookie Kenneth Dixon
, run over Buck Allen and crushed Jusczzyk"
thats the quote from the website...doesn't specifically say that the plays were dirty...but I could certainly sense an implication.
3 Diffrent players getting upset about his hits is a pattern.. And they are vets mind you who know how things should be handled During camp.
First it doesn't say 3 different players got upset. Second if they did but the hits were clean it's their problem not his. Only person that was said to got made was juice. So if you could misread that then I'm gonna go ahead and dismiss your attempt to say that the hits were bad to begin with.
I've only read the Ryan mink blurb. Can you link me to the other one?
39 minutes ago, rmw10 said:It's been said that 2 of the 3 have been out of bounds after the play. That's when it becomes a problem, because that's 15 yards in a game.
Said by who? And let's be clear a hit as the player is running out and a hit while the player is out of bounds and whistle blown are two distinctly different events
Fyi Ravens site didn't say anything about the out of bounds at all. In fact it talks about juice just being upset he was hit hard. It also reads in a manner to show that as a player onwaser as hit any and everything with the same tenacity.
4 minutes ago, Ravenseconbeast said:He did so well he got a day off
I didnt know such thing existed. But thats good news he didnt get injured.
Maybe a precautionary measure for certain players like Camp is fine.
They've always given players days off especially when you're looking at 90 players to coach and evaluate.
40 minutes ago, January J said:Not if its against another team. When it's your team mates it's a little different . Esp when players start getting hurt. If it was 1 or 2 incidents that would be one thing...it happens..but I've now heard of three instances where he's caused problems. Its becoming a pattern.
Because others are complaining about being tackled he's the one with the problem?
was it a dirty tackle? Was hitting prohibited? Did he get up then go after the rbs after the play was over? You've heard of three incidents where he made a tackle and the person tackled was upset. You have not heard of him causing trouble.
44 minutes ago, MTRavensFan said:If he plays physical and people get hurt, that's a problem.
Again how does any of that say he has an attitude problem?
do you honestly think playing defense physically is the byproduct of an attitude problem?
