Wonder if we kick the tires being that we have $
Tucker and Williams first not sure what soon to be released player is going to require a lot of cap space at this time

So? What does that have to do with the post about running styles and line play?
at what point do you and the others actually listen to Barry who said in detail why it wouldn't work out as well in Dallas and he even used the example of why he was taken out in goal line situations as the reason.
I I mean really all you are so far on his jock but not a sole has bothered to quite or heed what he said about it himself.
So you know Barry said he wouldn't have done well because the play would have the hole dictated and he was the type of back to skip a hole because he felt a bigger play was to be had elsewhere. This is why the Broncos scheme would have been ideal.
21 hours ago, ravensdan said:Why is this down voted? It's 100% accurate. The line TD was behind would have been insane for Sanders.
It's because it goes against the lazy "we'll give him the big line of Dallas" thinking that so many have gotten used to
22 hours ago, ALSKAN RAVEN FAN said:Not to take anything away from Emmitt Smith but his O-line at Dallas frequently opened up holes a vehicle could drive through and with holes like that your whole scheme argument is nill and void PERIOD . I will say it again I would be willing to bet Barry would have racked up 2500 + yards for sure behind that O-Line. I do agree with the fullback being added because Barry was begging for the Lions to add a fullback. As far as what Barry said I truly believe he did not want to take anything away from E. Smith's accomplishments and was just being polite. Have you looked at the stats Barry put up at OSU? What other RB has done that?
Must be why his back ups did horrible. Again if you were to give him an ol from another team it'd be Denvers based both in scheme and how they made numerous backs look
3 hours ago, ludy51 said:Not giving him the scheme, just the O-Line
So then you're suggesting Dallas OL should play a scheme they weren't agreeable with then? That's just as silly. Take drive blocking OL and ask them to zone block.
Due to Barry's preferred style and his own opinion Denvers OL would have been the dream.
The only addition I'd have given Barry is a fullback like moose as Barry's best yr in Detroit came with a consistent fb blocking.
9 hours ago, ALSKAN RAVEN FAN said:You can say that 10 times over..... I would be willing to bet 2500+ yard season
Barry disagrees as he said the scheme in Dallas is not one he would have been comfortable with...

He is smaller and bulkier, he has more quickness, he's also more tight in the spaces. He's got a Doug Martin like jump cut. There was also this Bills RB from the 90s or so, I saw highlights from him on FB and he looked like Kenneth a lot.
23 Kenneth Davis or are you comparing him to Thurman Thomas

There is not one player on defense that strikes fear in opponents. Unless players from this draft perform very well the ravens are going to call on its offense. There are no all pro defensive players. The ravens do have a franchise qb 2 young runnin backs with skills, an oline that should be dominant, a young talented TE and a fast athletic vet TE that can block. And young fast WRs with a veteran deep guy and SS.
Not one defensive player? Lol. So I'm guessing you've talked to every team about how they'd game plan and what they worry about from the Ravens defense and they all said they aren't worried about Suggs, Doom or their ability to force bad passes that give weddle an opportunity to make a play.
If he's severely injured and ir l'd the Ravens would do what every other team that uses a fb does. Sign a free agent.
Teams thst hat use a fb only carry one so the what if is no different than it's ever been
3 hours ago, Winchester said:My opinion on Joe is he is good enough. But to be honest with you most people in my community and at work say he needs to step his game up or ravens should find a qb if Joe fronts anything not on par with his 2014 performance
On one hand I do wanna see him get 30tds and 4K yards on the other if we win and he's contributing I'm good.
10 minutes ago, ALSKAN RAVEN FAN said:I think your point is spot on until both Joe and Eli get into the playoffs then I think they get even better I rank both Eli and Joe average or slightly above average during the regular season and elite in the post season.
Joe is very frustrating during the regular season because we have seen what he can do during the playoffs

Your post makes it sound like dalton has been around for the whole time
1 hour ago, redrum52 said:Dalton has outplayed Flacco in H2H match ups almost every time they've played... and he must be a good qb because AJ Green puts up great numbers. Who's getting AJ the ball?
Head to head is irrelevant as dalton is throwing against our defense and flacco vs his. Atleast use common opponents.

Doom. Not dum. It just doesn't look right. Lol

I wouldn't because as an analyst Deion is more about his friends. I also wouldn't value a guys opinion just because he's athletically gifted. A guy suceeding in the league isn't simply because he knows how to analyze other players some are just gifted athletes.
Gary kubiak wasn't a good nfl qb. Bill Walsh definitely wasn't. Are we to say their opinions on nfl qb play is lessened by the fact that they weren't all pro Qbs?
14 minutes ago, trevorsteadman said:And how productive and how long did David Carr last in the NFL?
Irrelevant. Analyst and even coaches can be good without having a solid playing career
6 minutes ago, ALSKAN RAVEN FAN said:Flacco is Flacco and I would be willing to bet he does not lose a wink of sleep because of what some guy named David Carr has said about him.
Of course he doesn't care and neither should we
Still doesn't negate the talk of favoritism and an attempt to downplay his skill set.
Love how you have to claim he makes the team due to favoritism it really adds to the integrity of your post.

It's not yet tc so the talk if him losing a position he didn't have is irrelevant. For all we know it could be a public motivation tool. not a fan or supporter of his just pointing out you're essentially writing a "told you so" post in July when no one has made it through a padded camp...
