I think it might just be a generational thing.  I am only 31 and I honestly don't know much, if anything about the Baltimore Colts, I know the story of what happened.  The only time I ever bring it up is when someone tries to give me crap about the Ravens actually being the Browns.  So that being said, I have no ill feelings towards the Colts other than the fact they took Pagano, I really liked him as our DC.  Oh, Isray is an idiot....

38 and born and raised in California. Could give two shakes about the colts.

I think you are both correct, sorta.  I think the pre game speeches probably do help the young guys focus, but doesn't matter much with the vets. But the on field "leading by example" goes much farther to motivate all, especially at practice. I agree though, if you aren't self motivated anyway none of it has any effect.

Just remember that flacco respected Ray but thought the speeches were over the top.

Really? There were some ex steeler players on the steeler coaching staff and they did well under Mike Tomlin

How the hell does that negate his post?

he said don't always and you said some succeeded.

Rod Woodson never really caught on and Joe Greene didn't move up the ranks. Oh and mike singletary hasn't done anything extraordinary as a position coach which is why he's never stayed long anywhere he's coached

Well glad we got Tucker done.

Washington didnt get Cousins in. Only offered him $16m/yr.

Chiefs didnt get Berry done. They apparently wanted him to pay for a disability insurance clause that would pay the team out as the beneficiary. They were miles apart otherwise.

And Jets obviously didnt get Wilkerson done... which means he'll prob hit FA next offseason. My goodness would I love to have him. I'd probably give up re-signing BWill and Wagner to get him...

    Nfl.com says Wilkerson done

Why don't Ozzie hire him as Linebackers coach next season if Ravens defense doesn't improve this season. See if he motivates the players

It would require Ray wanting to be a coach and not just a motivational speaker amongst other things

  6. A drawback for hesitating to say this what may be a fair offer early is that the other side can start to re-evaluate your importance to them. Right or wrong if you hesitate you allow the other side to hone in on the negatives such as what ESPN wrote:  "However, Tucker is coming off the roughest season of his four-year career, converting a personal-low 82.5 percent of his field goals."

Before the explanation i was totally confused... the verbiage made it sound like you were posting that he has 61 game winning field goals in his career.

But, creative interpretation on the countdown. I like it.

I'm one of those guys that can't get fat.

I'm 6'2" and at 190 lbs. Work like a dog so rarely ever hit the gym, last time I did the trainer said I was at 8% body fat. Not bad knowing my diet sucks lol

Meh married with 2 kids. I'm over the whole concept of needing to hit the gym to go to the beach. It's a concept for the weak minded.

He was the starter at a position where the Dolphins need a clear upgrade. The Dolphins essentially handed him the job straight out of the gate and he lost it.

Really, do you know a thing about Dallas Thomas?

Again, I fully expect Tunsil to eventually take it back, but if you knew how truly terrible he is, it'd be horribly embarrassing to lose the job to him at any point.

    It's July.

How's Tulloch in coverage? We already have a thumper in CJ

Couldn't tell you to be honest

    did find this http://www.nfl.com/videos/detroit-lions/0ap2000000169084/Jerome-Felton-Jordan-Babineaux-Owen-Daniels

which leads me to believe if it's cheap Ozzie will like his veteran presence to help in the middle for a yr or two and if healed his speed goes with the desire to get faster in defense
