  1. Well the team did change up the conditioning program this yr and in a sport with so much running and contact injuries are bound to happen. As far as saying a reason for injuries is due to making people compete for their jobs I think it's a foolish statement. They shouldn't be half assing whether they're spot is handed to them or not so what's the alternative? Mental reps only?
  2. So I understand you. You're suggesting that has kindle panned out we would have re-signed him and then picked a different player instead of a young pass rusher this yr? Again mcphee gave us the production we essentially wanted from kindle and we couldn't afford to re-sign him. But saying we did keep a productive kindle then we don't have dumervil (imo) and still have an aged Suggs on the other side that still requires us to take a pass rusher to prepare for Suggs' departure. So no I don't buy your pov about not getting a pass rusher in the second. Especially with a gm who feels you could never have enough pass rushers.
  3. Wait. How are we feeling the sting from kindle? Was as it the 12-4 record in 2010 with the 16.9ppg allowed was as it the 12-4 record in 2011 with the 16.6ppg allowed Was it that pesky 2012 yr? Or is it that you're suggesting we would have started to see him rise in 2013 and do better for the team than dumervil mcphee in 2011 was probably as productive as we could have hoped for kindle to be in his second yr Sucks to to see picks like kindle, Cody, Elam on the defensive side not work out but with the exception of Elam the other misses have been absorbed by production from later picks along the front 7 Side note 2005 was kinda disappointing with Clayton in the first and Cody in the second. Ugh why did I look back that far
  4. And yet they still drafted TEs. In other words they did plan ahead for his lack of involvement.
  5. He was a hired gun. He wasn't done wrong by us even in the trade which is why he never expressed any ill will
  6. There's always welker....lol.
  7. Feel bad for dude and this sucks for the team too
  8. No they should not if they haven't researched it themselves.
  9. Yeah it's silly to think they should back a cause that they A) didn't research themselves. B.) goes against league policy at this time. They did give him respect to say he's free to advocate what he wishes. That's as far as they're needed to go.
  10. Oj was a great back. The fact that he mentioned Bo strictly from potential and then to down play Walter is ridiculous imo
  11. Without a doubt. You put Barry high because of OL but don't realize that like Barry Walter did it with questionable lines as well as being the first, second, third option on their offense.
  12. So Walter Payton doesn't exist?
  13. I have to agree. We finished third so until we play and win we are third.
  14. I definitely agree on pitta. No fault of his own he's just unreliable at this point because the injuries.
  15. Agreed. http://m.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/What-Maxx-Williams-Learned-At-NFL-Rookie-Symposium/a71c3b24-4a03-426f-b9b6-011796fb5fa0 for TEs it was always expected to take a yr or two before they made a significant impact on the field.
  16. Somewhat middle ground for me. I'm concernrd about Monroe not being at OTAs because he hasn't had the best of seasons with the Ravens and I don't see how any of what he's doing is going to change that. As for his campaigning I have no problem with players looking for a better way for their peers to cope with pain and life after football I also commend him on the fishing trip and putting time in helping vets (he did that recently as well as the Las Vegas convention so don't wanna act like he's only about medicinal mj) but I do think it has to come back to what helped him get into an influential position. I I go back to when he was traded for and how he was happy because of family in the area and thought it was good having a guy who wants to be here. Now it does seem like he's not so much wanting to be there but already moving onto life after football
  17. I know what the topic is and I understand their draft philosophy. Your post is full of nonsense and has you complaining that they look ahead at who may price themselves out of the market. Yes Elam and brown didn't fulfill expectations yet many others exceeded. *side note I specifically excluded brooks because I get the feeling you expect him to have had the career stats that one would attribute to elams draft slot. Nevertheless it's humurous that people like to pick random selections and cite proof we can't draft but ignore the picks who do well because it doesn't fit the agenda they're trying to promote.
  18. New conditioning program this yr new trainer involved with the tram and the issue with Trent comes off an offseason he was working on his home. So yes the team realized the conditioning program needs to be revamped and no Richardsons current issues aren't because of ow the Ravens trained last yr
  19. What? So you're complaining that a team understands who will be priced out of range and that they plan ahead for that?
  20. Your post said they'd be patient because his injury issues. He'd have to show enough or they invest enough to wait it out. It's not gonna happen if he can't stay healthy he'd get used less n less like amendola
  21. Not so sure he'd strive if he is injured. It's amendola all over
  22. That's why I try to avoid some ota topics. To me we are extremely deep in the front 7 so I fear I'm overrating players
  23. Dockett was training him last yr not sure if he did it this yr as well
  24. When I read the statement about billick losing control I think back to Bart Scott getting upset with fans for booing his bad performance in 2007. I also think about the explanation given as to why Rex Ryan's wasn't named hc despite defensive players at the time thinking he would have been the best option.
  25. As expected versatility is key with our front 7.
