  1. This isn't as bad as it seems I don't think, this team could easily be 2-0 right now. The refs stealing a game sealing INT from us is terrible, but Steve Smith could have easily had the game winning TD.

So where do the Ravens go from here? Bengals and Steelers up next will decide our season undoubtedly. I have the feeling we're either going 2-2 after these games or 0-4. We'll see what kind of team we have next week and whether we can overcome adversity.

  2. As a result of the injury I was curious to look back at the 2003 NFL draft and see where players are/were at in their careers compared to Suggs. Terrific draft and a lot of guys are still playing; Andre Johnson, Carson Palmer, Charles Tillman, Anquan, Witten, Gates, Romo  and Mathis. Guys like Polamalu, Nnamdi, McGahee, Dallas Clark, Lance Briggs have retired.

Suggs is now 32 years old while a lot of those guys are now 33/34. I guess the point is when you look at Terrell compared to those other guys he definitely has some miles left on him. We know he can rehab an achilles and come back, and a year off will be good for the rest of his body. Lets hope he comes back and finishes in Baltimore.

  3. At some point they might need to consider trading up for that blue chip talent that they always miss out on.

I agree, I'd love to see a bold move ... eventually you have to get those guys at the top end of the draft that are stars for a long time (like Suggs at 10th overall). Its a difficult call to make, and really depends how you grade the rest of the draft.

The Julio Jones trade was great for the Falcons b/c they got a star player and the Browns got nothing out of all those picks. Conversely, there's always the Herschel Walker trade that set up a Cowboys dynasty.

  4. this thing called a salary cap pretty much limits the things a GM can pull off with out turning the entire team upside down...

Thats why I said these trades happen in the offseason when you can maneuver within the salary cap ;) ... Anyways, the point remains that we have no option remaining but to wait on BP to hit the field.
