  1. I'm on Steelers websites and the fans are either very salty or are in denial about being played by the Ravens for Maxx. Ozzie, U DA MAN.

  2. Expecting us to trade out of the 1st in exchange for the Bucs 2nd round pick. Only time will tell (the suspense)

  3. Ravens trade 4th Rd pick for Bennett? thoughts??

Like the player but I dont feel taking on that salary is worth it going forward.

  4. It's evident that after every lose during the season, the response will be, "That's behind us now. We are looking forward to the next opponent." I get it. But now that the season is over, does anyone want to enlighten me on what happened in the last Texans game. It was just ugly and I still can't figure out why it got so out hand. Also, Be nice or be quiet.

Texans Defense dominated that game ... JJ Watt terrorized Flacco and he threw 3 INTs, thats the story, nbd.

  5. Here I was at work excited that we extended Jimmy's contract, only to come on the boards to see ppl whining about the $$$. As if he was gonna get paid any less elsewhere.

If anything, he'd get more on the open market if he has a good year, like every defensive FA we lose.

  6. Unlike a lot of people i wouldn't mind Funchess if he's available in the second. Williams and Walford are more ready right away but Funchess' potential is interesting

6'5/230lb WR ... I'm very intrigued. Id be extremely happy if we passed on WR in the 1st & got him in the 2nd.

  7. Anyone else despise Kubiak right now. Hes bragging about how his offense looks prior to the draft. I hope we march into mile high and Joe Cool do his thing over Old man Peyton Manning. Fluke-o will throw 4 td's 300+ yards yall feel me? Harbaugh &Trestman going to show outtt in Denver. Maybe late in season would be a great game

I'm happy for Kubs. He basically got his dream job and he must be excited. He can brag a bit, just not against us ;)

  8. Polamalu more instinctive than Reed? because he jumped over the line one time? by all means lets all forget the 100 other times he tried that move and failed. Polamalu over Reed is a joke.

@ravensnick ... Dang, I guess I just read it like a footnote, or maybe some wishful thinking. Makes sense now I suppose, there would at least be a bit more Reed talk when he hangs it up for good.

The Polamalu 'retirement hype' is annoying. Its funny how Reed retiring only weeks before got no attention at all.

  10. I am confused when people keep pointing to Brady and saying "elite quarterbacks can win without elite receivers." I guess they don't consider the greatest statistical tight end in NFL history to be a good receiver.

    1. TDubbs

      TDubbs

They say it to make their point easier. Brady - Gronk/Moss .. Manning - Harrison/Wayne/DT .. Rodgers- Nelson/Cobb .. Those guys are all Elite.

I hope we do, tbh. Its time that we made a bold move for a young, legit #1 WR. Can't keep patching up the core w/ old vets.

@pechillo; I disagree. TJ Yeldon at 6'1 225 has the size to handle the NFL load. Additionally, compared to previous Bama RB's he hasn't had the same amount of carries. He's had 576 carries in 3 seasons, which isn't a great deal at his size. I believe he's got a lot of room for improvement at 21 years old.

  15. nfl.com has a bracket tournament of the greatest game of all time. mile high miracle isnt on there but the 2000 MNF between the jets and dolphins is. "so kewl a olineman caught a td pass in overtime in a game between 2 mediocre teams" smh

The 'Mile High Miracle' game could arguably be the best game ever, imo.

  16. i dont think ive ever been this excited about an offseason cut. this greg jennings release is the type of thing ozzie waits for every offseason, and he has always been one of my favorite wr's, hes being undervalued after playing on a scrub offense for 2 years. BRING HIM ABOARD OZZIE!

Hmm, good point. However its just seems like Mason/Boldin all over again. Great WR's, but they aren't getting any younger and losing speed by the day. Yet another year or 2 where Flacco develops chemistry w/ WR's until they leave.

The only thing that worries me is having Greg (31) and Smith Sr. (35) as our starters is age. Now, if we get a 1st round WR to develop w/ these guys, I'm all for it.

  18. Vikings shopping C. Patterson, If we could get him for a mid to late round pick that would be awesome. Then draft Strong in the first round or Marcus Peters and I'll be one happy guy

@xxDarby What is crazy though is he only played 1 year at Tennessee, and smashed records. He may be more raw, but could the upside be higher/equal to Torrey? I don't think that Vikings offense was conducive to WR growth, he'd certainly have a shot to develop better here.

After watching numerous highlight tapes on him I really feel there is a WR in there that can be polished. Especially with a creative OC like Trestman to use his abilities, he's better than any option in the 5th round, even if at worst he's a Pro Bowl KR.

But you also have to say he's had Ponder/Cassel/Bridgewater throwing him the ball ... not exactly great QB's (although Teddy is solid, but was a rookie). Now you get a guy who was similar to a rookie Torrey coming out, put him with Flacco and see what happens.

I can't find anything on these rumours. That being said, I'am a huge fan of Cordarelle and a 5th, even a 4th, is peanuts compared to his potential here.

  22. The Ravens are reportedly interested in Terrence Knighton. I had a feeling once we traded Ngata. If he comes cheaper than Ngata would be a great replacement and give us flexibility in the draft! Come here Pot Roast!!

Love Knighton, but at a reasonable price. However, I have full confidence in Jernigan/Williams.

Hilarious that people still think it's all Flaccos fault w/ the contract. Seems A-Rod and the Packers do just fine w/ his cap hit and keeping guys like Nelson/Cobb

  24. man, we can say all we want about torrey's inconsistencies or whatever, but he has been a huge part of our history as a franchise, and he is one of the true good guys of the league, youll be missed torrey. the business side of this sucks.
