  1. If we cant get our O-Line healthy and ready to pass protect; we're going to be looking for a new QB in this draft b/c Flacco can't take much more of this beating week in week out.
  2. At least we're not talking about him potentially starting Game 1, that would be a frightening thought. Flacco seems to be bionic for a QB coming off of major knee surgery. Most QB's who sustained that injury when Flacco did would not be on pace for a Week 1, truly amazing.
  3. Terrible news for a guy in his first year. For the Ravens, it sucks to get zero production out of a 3rd round pick
  4. All of the obvious stuff aside, the last time Ray stepped on the field was 2013 and he put up 660 yards in 15 games. Strictly Football talk, Rice was the perfect RB for our team at the exact right time. We had a young Flacco and we were still pounding the rock in a traditional system with Pro Bowl FB's. Too much young talent at the position nowadays for any 29 year old RB to come back after 3 years away from the game.
  5. Manziel has absolutely nothing to offer us on the field. Manziel was going to have to put in serious work just to be a starting QB in the league to overcome his defects as a QB (Unpredictable, Undersized with Poor vision), he did not do that. If we want a talent in the slot position as a receiver that can throw the football (as per the OP), we drafted one in Keenan Reynolds who is better suited for that position, the fact being he is tougher and a better competitor.
  6. I'd love to see what percentage of guys who tear their Achilles or even get a Lisfranc are wearing the low cut, soccer style cleats; As opposed to guys who wear a mid cut cleat that gives your Achilles more of a compression.
  7. I will definitely agree w/ the OP on one statement; Our FO definitely gets caught day dreaming about mid round sleepers. Sometimes you wish they would've stayed at their pick in the 2nd or moved back into the first, as opposed to taking 5 guys in the 4th round, especially a DT and a RB of which we have plenty.
  8. I just pulled the wagon out of the lot and am trying to find some passengers ... There may even be some crimson coloured kool aid on board. Derrick Henry at 6'3 240 running a 4.54 is a monster who will set a tone and identity for this team. I feel his skill set will transfer well to the pro level and fits our offense very nicely.
  9. I'm on the Derrick Henry bandwagon right now. Our O-Line just received a big upgrade and putting this beast behind it would be awesome.
  10. Good, solid pick for us. It's hard to argue against taking a OT in the top 10, b/c that is a position that is harder to find later in the draft. Sure it wasn't flashy, exciting ... I was and still am a bit bored by it, but in the end when our O-Line is solidified it will be a good pick. We keep Monroe for the foreseeable, no use in cutting him and there is no market for a trade at this point. Then we line up with our best 5 on the field, whatever combination that might be. Can Wagner move to LG and be successful, I don't see why not. LT Monroe / LG Wagner / C Zuttah / RG Yanda / RT Stanley ... that sounds like a good unit to me.
  11. TBH though, I'm thrilled that one of these top 2 QB's won't be ruined yet again by the Browns. The Browns got a good haul for that pick, but the big question is what will they do with it? Certainly didn't work out with the Falcons and them getting Julio.
  12. If done right including all of the colours from the MD Flag our 'Colour Rush' uniform could be pretty awesome. But if they appoint the same person who did our gold pant look, then I'am very worried.
  13. I like this mock quite a bit tbh. I think the top 5 could realistically end up that way (although I have a weird feeling for Jags taking Buckner); but I definitely think Tunsil could fall to us like that and there's no way we pass up on him. Love the idea of us moving back into the 1st round for a pass rusher, Spence is a beast but his past drug history will concern the Ravens greatly.
  14. Regarding the crowded TE depth chart, last we heard about Crockett Gillmore wasn't his availability up in the air for training camp/week 1? He had multiple surgeries, back and shoulder issues so he may not be a full go anyways.
  15. You'd like to think he's 100% seeing as its been around 8-9 months since this mysterious 'PCL strain' happened, especially when we've seen guys coming off ACL tears running fully on that timeline.
  16. Jets were the only team dumb enough to take on that contract of a LT when they don't want to pony up the money for Fitzpatrick, their only hope at QB.
  17. Love the idea of Braxton Miller in the 3rd round (if he's there, big if) would be a terrific add for this team, imo. At that pick your more comfortable w/ a guy who won't be an immediate starter, as opposed to wanting more if you took him in the 2nd. This would be a great year to develop him as a Pro WR, which is what he needs .. Development. Additionally, you can get immediate return on him by using him as a KR, PR while he develops w/ guys like Smith Sr. around
  18. Ozzie and Co. have a tremendous draft history of finding guards. From Mulitalo, to Grubbs to Yanda and Osemele ... I have confidence in us finding one this year, so no I don't see it as too much of a need.
  19. I would prefer to bet on Monroe coming back healthy and ready for the season, as opposed to eating the dead cap space and bringing in D'Brick or Clady. Monroe is 4 years younger than D'Brick and Clady is coming off major injury and hasn't been the same guy he was years ago.
  20. Yeah, that's why I don't understand the move to TE. We have 3 TE's basically guaranteed on the roster, and Waller has to fight Boyle and whoever for a potential 4th spot if we keep a 4th. Seems it would make more sense to leave him at WR at see what he can do.
  21. I'm w/ you on that. He's a fringe 1st/2nd rounder but his value at 36 would be very good, and may very well be their BPA at that point. He plays behind Zuttah for this year, Zuttah gets cut next offseason and we have our starting Center on deck.
  22. And he gets 15 td's ... this is my favourite prediction, I'd love to see us pick up that beast in the 2nd.
  23. In 2012 he came back in less than 6 months from surgery, which is still insane to me. So we know he can come back from the injury, seeing as there's no update I'd assume it's business as usual and we'll see him at OTA's.
  24. I've been wondering the same thing. You know exactly what you get out of Upshaw, a grunt who does the dirty work while we rest Doom/Sizzle for a play or 2. He's very valuable in his role imo, and he's not a high price tag guy.
  25. Without question. Joe Thomas is a HOF level LT who has been stuck in a bad situation his entire career. The cap hit at 9.5m for the 2016 season at 31 years of age may be a difficult one to absorb. It depends how steep the price is in the end, I wonder what they are asking and would it be reasonable considering the circumstances.
