  1. All of the obvious stuff aside, the last time Ray stepped on the field was 2013 and he put up 660 yards in 15 games. Strictly Football talk, Rice was the perfect RB for our team at the exact right time. We had a young Flacco and we were still pounding the rock in a traditional system with Pro Bowl FB's. Too much young talent at the position nowadays for any 29 year old RB to come back after 3 years away from the game.

  2. Manziel has absolutely nothing to offer us on the field. Manziel was going to have to put in serious work just to be a starting QB in the league to overcome his defects as a QB (Unpredictable, Undersized with Poor vision), he did not do that.

If we want a talent in the slot position as a receiver that can throw the football (as per the OP), we drafted one in Keenan Reynolds who is better suited for that position, the fact being he is tougher and a better competitor.

  3. I will definitely agree w/ the OP on one statement; Our FO definitely gets caught day dreaming about mid round sleepers. Sometimes you wish they would've stayed at their pick in the 2nd or moved back into the first, as opposed to taking 5 guys in the 4th round, especially a DT and a RB of which we have plenty.

I knew there was about a two seat scooter, but was unaware there was a whole wagon

I just pulled the wagon out of the lot and am trying to find some passengers ... There may even be some crimson coloured kool aid on board.

I'm starting to like the idea of Henry on the ravens. Dude's a beast and ran a fast 40 don't understand all the hate. It's not like we'll be asking him to be a cowbell back

Derrick Henry at 6'3 240 running a 4.54 is a monster who will set a tone and identity for this team. I feel his skill set will transfer well to the pro level and fits our offense very nicely.

  5. Good, solid pick for us. It's hard to argue against taking a OT in the top 10, b/c that is a position that is harder to find later in the draft. Sure it wasn't flashy, exciting ... I was and still am a bit bored by it, but in the end when our O-Line is solidified it will be a good pick.

We keep Monroe for the foreseeable, no use in cutting him and there is no market for a trade at this point. Then we line up with our best 5 on the field, whatever combination that might be. Can Wagner move to LG and be successful, I don't see why not.

LT Monroe / LG Wagner / C Zuttah / RG Yanda / RT Stanley ... that sounds like a good unit to me.

The Browns just fleeced Philly. The No.2, No. 77 and No. 100 pick for their 2nd overall pick. Nice trade for the Brownies! Good luck with your lackluster rookie QB Eagles.

TBH though, I'm thrilled that one of these top 2 QB's won't be ruined yet again by the Browns. The Browns got a good haul for that pick, but the big question is what will they do with it? Certainly didn't work out with the Falcons and them getting Julio.

  7. I like this mock quite a bit tbh. I think the top 5 could realistically end up that way (although I have a weird feeling for Jags taking Buckner); but I definitely think Tunsil could fall to us like that and there's no way we pass up on him. Love the idea of us moving back into the 1st round for a pass rusher, Spence is a beast but his past drug history will concern the Ravens greatly.

  8. Love the idea of Braxton Miller in the 3rd round (if he's there, big if) would be a terrific add for this team, imo. At that pick your more comfortable w/ a guy who won't be an immediate starter, as opposed to wanting more if you took him in the 2nd. This would be a great year to develop him as a Pro WR, which is what he needs .. Development. Additionally, you can get immediate return on him by using him as a KR, PR while he develops w/ guys like Smith Sr. around

If we wanna talk about blocking tes, Waller comes from a triple option and was an elite blocker as a wr, while I think his move to TE was unwise I wouldn't rule out his potential to block, even if it's a different world blocking the front seven compared to the secondary, he still understands the intricacies of blocking very well since that was his primary job throughout college, he also appeared to be quite a special teams player last year as well.

Yeah, that's why I don't understand the move to TE. We have 3 TE's basically guaranteed on the roster, and Waller has to fight Boyle and whoever for a potential 4th spot if we keep a 4th. Seems it would make more sense to leave him at WR at see what he can do.

On another note, 1 month away from the Draft and Upshaw is still out there. We opened up the cap space, why hasn't he been re-signed for a cheap 1 year deal or a decent 3-4 year contract by now? It's baffling that no team has signed him yet, so why not just bring him back?

I've been wondering the same thing. You know exactly what you get out of Upshaw, a grunt who does the dirty work while we rest Doom/Sizzle for a play or 2. He's very valuable in his role imo, and he's not a high price tag guy.
