  1. Wow. Kid has top 10 ability as a WR and a chance at a superb life, but he keeps trying to throw it away. Hope he gets a serious wake up call and looks for help. As a Ravens fan, I'm pretty darn happy he'll be suspended for the year.
  2. 100% agree ... Long gone are the days of teams lining up w/ 2 CB's outside. Teams need to line up in at least nickel now w/ 3 CB's on the field. Then you factor in the potential for injuries at CB. Having Flowers and Jimmy outside would be beautiful. Put Webby in the slot w/ his athleticism and knowledge of the game to do anything at the position.
  3. You can never have enough corners, and teams use 3 CB's on the field most of the time anyways. We don't have a Corey Graham this year to fall back on like when Webb went down. Flowers is a stone that we cannot leave unturned, its definitely worth a look.
  4. I never said as a starter lol, Foles is definitely the guy. Tyrod is not a starter (may never be) but would be a solid developmental guy for Chip in case Foles doesn't continue to work out. Also, he can play RG3 in practice and mimic other similar QB's over in the NFC. I like Tyrod and I think he still has a future in the NFL, just not with us obviously.
  5. I definitely agree, at this point. Foles looks like a long term franchise QB for that team. But I think Chip would have fun continuing to develop Tyrod just in case. Now that's assuming Sanchez is no threat to Foles, lol.
  6. I think the Eagles should give us a later round draft pick for Tyrod ... I think he'd run a Chip Kelly offense very nicely, at least it would be fun to see.
  7. I wish this was an Andre Johnson only thread lol. I don't see why Torrey's name should be brought up on trade thoughts and compared to AJ. We always complain about drafting WR's yet we've actually drafted a home grown one in Torrey and want to speculate about trading him for a 30+ guy? Strange ...
  8. Torrey Smith and a mid round pick ... LOL, I don't understand the logic there. I would however give up a 2nd-4th rounder for Andre in a heartbeat! All he does is produce, keep clean off the field and has the desire to win. Torrey/Steve/Andre ... my god what a trio. Especially with Andre (and Daniels) history under Kubiak ...
  9. No offence, but thats a Madden trade. Also, the title of 'Torrey Smith's Value' is misleading for a topic of conversation when the text is as such. I love Torrey Smith, his value to us is that of a #1 WR. Andre Johnson is an awesome WR with a proven track record who MAY be on the trading block. The trade that was presented would be ridiculous lol.
  10. CB Avery Patterson ... I know nothing about this kid other than what I read on the front page. But his production at a big school like Oregon certainly speaks for itself. At a position of need, he maybe has some potential.
  11. I actually think we're now set up to take a WR in rounds 1/2 next year. Last year and this years drafts were defense focused. This should set the core of the defense for 5 years at least. Steve Smith/Daniels are essentially 1 year fixes.
  12. I don't understand these fringe WR's that are getting in trouble. One would think they would be doing everything to make/stay on a team rather than dealing with the law...
  13. We have too much time and money invested in Rice/Pierce .. (Both of whom will bounce back this year). I like Blount quite a bit, but we can find a suitable 3rd string RB in the draft at a much cheaper price, imo.
  14. Exactly. It's better when you can ease them in around other talent and try to keep a fresh, healthy rotation at WR. Torrey/Steve/Marlon/Jacoby isn't enough right now. If even one of them gets injured, we're hurting and Jacoby is a starter. But you add a 1st round stud WR in there, now we have some different looks to throw at teams.
  15. If Evans or Ebron are there at #17 I'd be shocked if we passed either up. I'd also love to grab my favourite player, Marqise Lee at #17. Point is, we need to develop a Blue Chip type WR prospect for once. I love Steve Smith, but he is no long-term answer. Steve Smith/Torrey Smith/Marlon/Jacoby is pretty solid .. But we need to add one of these first round WRs to really be set.
  16. I see where you are coming from and I definitely agree. Arm talent and ability is one thing, but playing QB takes mental preparation to become great. I think that is something Flacco realized after his toughest season in his career, and will be better from going through that struggle.
  17. At 6'4 .. Strong like an Ox and as durable as they come, that's a perfect guard right there, he would have been a road grader. He just doesn't have it between the ears to play Tackle. Far too many missed assignments and false starts.
  18. I like how you casually threw Evans in there hahaha ... Man, would I be happy if we got Evans.
  19. I always viewed Big Mike Oher as a Pro Bowl Calibre guard and just an OK Tackle .. Glad we didn't give him 20m
  20. I absolutely love Marqise Lee. The way he attacks the football with sure hands and finishes plays at an exceptional level simply cannot be overlooked. He reminds me of a young Reggie Wayne .. He will be a star for whatever team gets him. However, Ebron is a physical specimen. Pair him with Pitta in the TE friendly scheme that Kubiak runs; We will have a special combination that will be tough to cover.
  21. Yep, that's exactly what it is. Just relieves the pressure of needing a 1st round WR .. But in such a deep class, we can find one later on to be mentored/develop.
  22. So pumped. He brings attitude in the position that we've lacked since .. you know who .. and its good to see us get a guy like that!
  23. My thoughts exactly. Across the board I feel fairly comfortable at every position. We kept all our Free Agents which secures many spots (Especially LT). But ... We do have only 1 TE and I would LOVE to see us draft Ebron to compliment Pitta. But if he's taken, Lee is a favourite of mine; When you watch his film .. He finishes every play he can, he's a natural baller.
  24. I factored in Daryl, but forgot about Jacoby ... Overall I'm very impressed with the management Ozzie and co. have done so far with the cap/free agency. We're primed to crush the draft .. Just waiting on the Steve Smith news .....
  25. 13-14m in available cap space left approximately ... So some pretty decent space to bring in either Smith/Edelman and some quality depth guys.
