Flowers reportedly disliked playing in the slot last season, so Webb could stay in the slot. Jimmy could play press man outside, Flowers would play off coverage on the other side, and Webb would man the slot. Sounds wonderful to me. If only there was a way.
I've always been partial to the movie because a very small portion of it was filmed in the woods about 100 feet from my house.
That's awesome.
I'm not a huge fan of The Blair Witch Project, simply because I found it slow and just not scary enough to be interesting, until the ending of course. But I do love the found footage type of horror film, and I do appreciate the fact that it brought the found footage horror sub-genre to the mainstream. Plus you gotta love the Maryland ties, as you can attest to.
Hodor!

Our new DE Brent Urban was 5'8 and 145 lbs. when he was 11... Holy crap
I see Jernigan converting to 5-technique, personally.
He's a little small, no?
I think you see Suggs and Dumervil playing more of a DE role.
That'd be if we move to the 4-3. If we stay in the 3-4, Suggs and Dumervil play OLB.
disagree 100%. Brown and Mosely will get a ton of reps this year. Darryl Smith will get 2/3 of his contract so in 2016 you have Brown and Mosely both being 3 down LBs with experience on young rookie contracts. As far as Williams goes, the front office believes you can never have too many DL and Ngata is wearing down and Cody fell off. So Jernigan adds to it the mix for a nasty front 7 in years to come.
That being said, I was hoping for a sexier pick lol
I said one could argue that, I don't personally ascribe to that belief.
Here's the problem. Jernigan and Williams both play the exact same position. I can't see either one playing DE, because they offer little as pass rushers, they're run stuffers. Why draft the exact same position in the top three rounds two years in a row? One of the two has to be a backup.
That's what makes me mad about this pick. Its like they're giving up on him already after only one year of play. I know Cody's contract is up soon as is Tyson's but this is a position that could have waited until next year.
Agreed. One could argue that drafting both Mosley and Williams is a sign of giving up on both Brown and Williams. Regardless of whether or not that's the case, its just a headscratcher.
I don't get it. We just drafted Brandon Williams, are one of the two going to play DE?
Dang, I thought 4.5 stars would be enough for Briggs. I even cut players to try and fit him in. My LB corps officially suck.
I'm sorry dude, I didn't mean to swoop and steal him from you. I was honestly expecting a bidding war.
Lions pick is in. The Broncos are up.
With the 190th pick in the 2014 Forum Mock, the Detroit Lions select...

Bryan Stork, C, Florida State
Coastal Carolina guys going back to back lol
That'll never ever happen ever again haha.
Gaines is a great pick. He was being considered as a first or second round pick back in November or so.
Reid was the DT I was talking about earlier.
Same here. I'm surprised he fell this far.
The Lions pick is in. I was surprised some of the DTs went off the board before this guy. Reid is surprisingly pro-ready, and a good fit in my 4-3 as a interior pass rushing DT.
That Dixon picture is too awesome. Good value too.
Thank you. I love seeing players play with passion, and that picture was just too perfect.
With the 4th compensatory pick of the fourth round, the Detroit Lions select...

Caraun Reid, DT, Princeton
Haven't checked this guy out yet, but that's an awesome picture.
Thanks. Dixon is one of the best strong safety prospects in the draft. He played some hybrid safety/linebacker while at Baylor, and he's a punishing hitter. His hit on Jace Amaro was what first made him catch my attention.
With the 1st compensatory pick of the fourth round, the Detroit Lions select...

Ahmad Dixon, SS, Baylor
The Lions pick is in, added another weapon to pull the defense off Megatron.
In the tapes that I saw, Ferguson didn't make much of a difference, in my eyes. I'd be surprised if Johnson doesn't have the better career. There's actually a DT prospect still on the board who I would take over him.
I believe I know who you're talking about.
With the 127th pick of the 2014 Forum Draft, the Detroit Lions select...

De'Anthony Thomas, RB, Oregon
Though I haven't seen their tape in a while, I may prefer Johnson out of the two LSU DTs.
Johnson is very explosive off the line, but he's much more inconsistent than Ego Ferguson. Ferguson gives more consistent play, while Johnson really flashes at times. I was considering both, but neither fell to my next pick.

Exactly. People don't seem to be understanding this. He didn't like the slot, and he struggled in the heavy press man scheme. We wouldn't play him in the slot, we'd play him outside and a couple yards off his man.
