  1. Man of Steel was pretty good. Christopher Nolan is brilliant at creating the atmosphere for superhero movies. The Dark Knight Trilogy was grim, dark, and cold, while Man of Steel was much more fantastic and fanciful. From the music that perfectly sets the mood, to the overall feel of the movie, Nolan is excellent at what he does.

The movie itself, however, was nothing to brag about. I was really not a fan of Michael Shannon as General Zod, and I just wasnt blown away by the movie as a whole. Perhaps my expectations were too high, due to the involvement of Nolan. I must say though, the scenes of Superman flying about after he essentially first discovers his power of flight were superb. Overall, a good watch though. I enjoyed it.

  2. Anchormans my favorite Will Ferrell movie.

Old school & the other guys are up there. I've never seen Elf though, is it any good?

You have to see Elf. Easily one of the best Christmas movies ever.

Both Anchorman and The Other Guys are fantastic. Step Brothers was pretty funny too.

  3. You may be right, but I have any friends who have bought used games either.  Perhaps you are mistaken.

Trust me, there are a ton of people who are pissed about the preowned game fee. Just wait a little while, I'm sure you'll hear their cries. I'm sure there are many like you who really don't mind, but there are large number of us who buy primarily used games.

  4. I agree, it was nothing like the trailers led me to believe it would be.

Yeah thats true. If you're up for that kind of Steve Carrell movie, Crazy Stupid Love is very good. I'd have to say it's one of, if not my number one, favorite rom com.

  5. Django Unchained was an excellent movie. Tarantino's imagination is still running full blast. And I must echo the previously stated sentiments, Christopher Waltz was positively delightful as Dr. Schultz.

On a side note, the soundtrack was an interesting variety. A little Rick Ross here, a little Richie Havens there. It was definitely unusual, yet pretty enjoyable.

  6. I thought the entire movie was incredibly intriguing. Idunno, my love of the franchise might of blindingly helped see past its mistakes though haha.

I suppose it was intriguing. I found a few things odd though, to say the least. For instance, once the fate of the entire mission was at stake, the mission leaders simply head to the bedroom.

The visuals made me love that movie a whole lot more than I should have though. They were stunning.

  7. I really liked Prometheus, I own it on blu-ray/dvd/blu-ray 3D. I wasn't expecting it to be a direct prequel though. What did you think was dissapointing about it?

The "plot"? Don't get me wrong, the visuals were gorgeous. The plot, however, not so much.

  8. Well we'll agree to disagree on that one. Apparently you didn't see many Steeler games this past season. Anyone who pays 10+ mil for Mike Wallce should seek help.

Paying Wallace 10 million a year is one thing, but taking a veteran WR with a couple more seasons left in the tank over a young, blazing fast, playmaking WR with more than half of his career ahead of him would be crazy.
