  1. Darian stewart. Not one play did he make when he was with us and then goes to Denver and wins the game for them.
  2. Given the talent level on the offense, I don't think there will be much to work. Heck, Fitzpatrick has Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker and Flacco has Smith, Aiken, Brown. I thought the problem was with the OL mainly yesterday. The tackles were hard to watch and Flacco was scrambling for his life on almost every play.
  3. Horsecollar tackle in the pocket is legal AFAIK. I was thankful that Flacco was OK after that. That was scary. It could've gone seriously wrong.
  4. That was actually a good game to watch despite what the score suggested. It was nice to see the D harass Manning all along. Losing Suggs is definitely a blow. The offense was total opposite. Nothing went right. The OL, the running game and the receiving. Denver's D was tough though. The receivers we have probably won't even make it to the 53 squad on other teams and I am amazed how the coaches hype up these fellows as the next big thing in the making (Aiken, Marlon). Still the 1st game and lots of tweaks to be made. We should be OK.
  5. Great article as always. It's feels like an eternity since we saw a game that counts. The first game of every season gives the same feeling as cutting your grass for the first time after spring and feeling that smell. All those months of Sunday hibernation will end this week. It's OK to be nervous. If you aren't, then there's no fun in it. Just like a roller-coaster, if you don't scream with fear you ain't having a good time. Buckle up fellow fans... the Ravens will take us on a thrill ride for the next few months.
  6. Anyone remember the Billy Cundiff shank in the AFC championship? That was because the sideline crew showed the wrong down.
  7. First off, we should have had a reception like that in 2013. That would have been awesome. I still can't get over how we got screwed by our own city's team. Secondly, we should watch this tape a lot when facing the Steelers. There's no way we can contain the Steelers explosive offense. Did you guys watch how Antonio Brown snatched a potential interception and gained positive yards. I am in awe of this guy. Too bad he wearing the wrong uniform. The only way is to keep up with them or stay ahead of them in scoring. Their secondary looks weak and something we can exploit. And please let Jimmy Smith handle Brown complete game. He is going to torch Webb/Arrington in the slot.
  8. Really banking on the tight-ends this year. I think with Trestman our TE's will be used a lot.
  9. Hope he learns when going deep to turn around and jump to attack the ball. Other than Smith Sr, there is no one on the roster that can do that. Torrey Smith went to the other coast just because he couldn't do that. I don't have many expectations for Aiken as a starter. But that may be a good thing. Hope he surprises me.
  10. I know he is friends with some of the ex-Ravens like Reed but is Ryan Clark trying to jinx us?
  11. Why does everyone believe we are the team to beat? We sure don't look like that looking at our injuries and our aerial attack. Sure we were 1 game away from the championship game last year but this year is going to be different under a new OC. We just have to wait and watch the first few games to know how the team fares this season.
  12. As rmcjacket said, worst case we have another backup CB with some starting experience. I think he makes the team. We only have 5 CB's and history has proven that we can never have too many CB's.
  13. I think Asa makes the team. He's explosive and we don't have any better options at returner.
  14. Marlon Brown will fade away soon. Such a promising start. Not sure what really happened to him. Was really impressed by the snow grab against Vikings and excited. Dude doesn't show passion for the game. He might but at least it doesn't show on the field. This year's receiving corps will suck.
  15. Don't you think he collided with DB's in college or in practice? At this point we can only speculate. I admit it is frustrating not to see him on the field. I was excited when we drafted him. Perriman must be a future superstar with great hands, great speed and Harbs might have realized we drafted Megatron Jr. So the Ravens want to conceal his secret superpower until November when the games really matter.
  16. I partially agree with you. I didn't mean to say we don't need deep routes. Guys like steve smith can go deep with better route running. Perhaps the other slower receivers can do the same. I am saying we don't need a burner like Torrey to go deep just to clear routes.
  17. I think Steve Smith and Campanaro are our best receivers though there is not enough tape on the latter. What separates them from Marlon Brown and Aiken is their ability to beat the defender and go up and snatch the ball.
  18. Certainly Aiken is not a deep threat. It would be foolish to send him deep. Frankly, I don't think we need a deep threat if we keep moving the chains. With the tight-ends and guys who can catch the ball and get separation, Trestman's offense can move the chains. Too many times, I've been frustrated with Flacco's deep throws. He rarely connects and even if he does the receiver has to adjust a lot to catch it.
  19. I am going to remove my purple shades on this and say this from a neutral perspective. Though legal, considering it's preseason and the respect you need to have for other players' health what Suggs did was asking for trouble. The guy was just coming out a knee injury and you go low on him in a preseason game? If it was my QB, I would be furious. We really need a wide receiver. Aiken is OK but he's only starting because there is no other talent on the team. I think we are in real trouble this year if Perriman isn't back. We desperately need a speedster.
  20. I like Pollard but he burnt the bridges went he left. So there's 0 chance he is coming back. We definitely need one CB and one safety.
  21. I think we aren't deep in CB and safety. Offensive depth looks good but the defensive backfield needs more.
  22. Enough jinxing the man. Appreciate the recognition but no more Yanda articles.
  23. Welcome back Sarah! We missed you and LFW.
  24. Wow! Great article. Now I am more scared than ever that we hired him. I hope he finds a home here in Baltimore. The poor man has been through so much.
