  1. Fans are worried? Really? Worried about the Chargers leaving San Diego, they in fact beg to differ. By they I mean the people of San Diego. Comic-Con got a 2 year extension through 2018 but had an opt out clause to move Comic Con out of San Diego after 2016. The San Diego Union-Tribune polled their readers(July 2015 Poll) on who they rather keep, Comic-Con or the Chargers. There were 5,299 votes. 61% said they prefer to keep Comic-Con over the Chargers who only had 38% of the vote. When a 4 day event that is held once a year feels more of a priority to people than having a NFL team, something is wrong.

Remember...I did say Some not All. The Die Hard Charger fans would make that trip up the I-5 to L.A. to watch them play.

  2. Flacco played decently, but his mistakes were inexcusable - especially the second INT. Both INTs hurt us. Still, he was moving the chains and had to carry the offense with a mostly stagnant running game.

Running game was tepid but Forsett showed a lot of guts playing through injury. They were heavily involved in the passing game with good effectiveness - Allen dropped a pass in the endzone that would've been a nice play.

OL was average, maybe worse than average. Couldn't get the run game going and even though Flacco wasn't sacked, he was running all day and had to throw off his back foot.

Defense as a whole was uninspired (there's a trend). Run defense was stout, like usual. Got some sacks and pressure but too often Kaepernick slipped out for a big pass. Wright was abused but he's been on the team for less than a week and asked to cover on an island. Their FB was gashing us until he literally got tired from running all over our team. The stiff-arm Mosley took was shameful and then he caught a 52-yd pass on 3rd and 1. The fullback... Mosley has that wrist swaddled like a baby, he's probably playing through a lot of pain.

Tucker missed a FG for the second time in two weeks - nearly fell into the abyss of the terrible field conditions. Not worried about him just yet but it did hurt us in the game. Koch punted well and the coverage/return units were very good.

Penalties were also down A LOT. We had a crappy one where Jimmy was holding on 3rd down in the 4th quarter. Cost us a good chunk of time - we would have gotten the ball back with ~2:25 rather than ~1:10. We were 3 penalties for 15yds.

And there was zero sense of urgency in that last 1:10 either....everyone including Joe just waltzed up to the line and lost about 18 seconds which is enough time for at least one play.

  3. From what I understand, its been assumed by league "insiders" for quite some time that TWO teams will be in LA, as early as next season.

Most likely candidates are Rams and Raiders, though I believe the Chargers are technically still a possibility. I believe its down to those three only from what I've read.

Some fans in San Diego are worried that the Chargers are going to move to LA  there is no talk about a new stadium and Qualcomm Stadium is a dump but not as bad as Oakland.

  4. We as the fan base have been spoiled for 20 years now. Depleted talent and injuries plus a total lack of discipline on the defensive side of the ball "Penalties". Time and cap issues have caught up with them and that terrible word "Rebuild" may now apply.

  5. You know its bad when there is a whole thread in the Steeler Fever Forums apologizing to Ravens fans for rooting for the Cheatriots in the Divisional Round. LOL. Mutual hate of the Taperiots-Deflatriots is making the brothers in the AFCN so mad that we're actually momentarily getting along. ROFLOL!

At least with the Steelers is a dislike out of respect.....With the Pats it is down right hatred.

  6. Hm.... some interesting news out of Denver.

#Broncos announce time for open locker-room interviews tomorrow, but no time scheduled (yet) for Fox end of year press conference.

Just to clarify, players interviews begin at Noon(3PM here)

I think Adam Gase could step right in there to take over for Fox.....His name keeps popping up as a potential Head Coach and I think Elway would not want to let him go at this point.

  7. Actually, now they're saying it was Mosley.

And then Elway went and made all those trades in the later rounds for negligible picks. Fans not happy over there.

I am thinking the window is just about closed for Manning and the Broncos. While I have tremendous respect for Elway as a player his front office antics are questionable.
