  1. The only way I want to see Dickson back is if they put big sticky gloves on his sorry butterfingered hands.
  2. I sure hope the Steelers don't pick him ahead of us just to burn us.
  3. There aren't many others here that seem to like Lee like I do. He is fast, cuts well, and has sure hands. Ebron on the other hand is a beast. I seriously doubt that teams will be able to stop a 2 TE set with he and Pitta on the field at the same time. He is an very good blocker and can help the outside running game.
  4. I'm sure this is the guy that Ozzie had in mind when he said that he wanted a possession-type receiver in free agency. He is a lot like Mason and Q. A security blanket for Flacco when the deep men are covered. I see him making a lot of catches for us this year. Welcome to the Ravens, sir.
  5. Now that we've plugged some of the holes I don't feel so bad going into the draft. I really would love to see someone like Lee or Ebron taken, but I will not worry if it's someone that I totally didn't expect to be picked.
  6. I would be fine going into the season with a healthy Osemele at RT, Yanda at RG, De La Puente at C, (pick one) Gino/AQ/Wagner at LG, and Monroe at LT.
  7. I would take Lee in the first round, too.
  8. Before I sleep I just want to say that by tomorrow night we will have signed Smith.
  9. I am really thinking that we not only get Smith for the slot and 3rd/4th down and short passing downs, but we still end up picking up a wide receiver in the draft in one of the first 2 rounds. The center position would be best solidified with a veteran but we may still find a decent center in the later rounds to come in and complete for Gino. As for Mack, the only way we get him is that we (to quote my Sicilian ancestors) would need to "make him an offer he can't refuse." That would give us stability on the OL with Monroe and Mack both inked for the next few years. Unfortunately, this would just about eliminate the possibility of upgrading other areas of need through free agency (e.g. RT, FS, TE). If that was the case, then we may just try to get Ebron in the first round. Don't forget that we will still need to sign our draft picks, too.
  10. I don't think Oher has had any offers yet, so anything is possible. The best thing about having him back is that he already knows the playbook and can adjust to any new blocking scheme. No, he hasn't been all that bad, but he was a disappointment considering that we wanted him to be the amazing first round pick that we thought he was and that's all part of our mindset when we say that we'd rather have someone better in there.
  11. Let's just hope Ose holds up after his injury last year. I'd slide him over to RT and go with Gino at guard. Another option would be to have Ryan Jensen at C and Rick Wagner at RT. It all depends on whether or not we get a veteran center. I really don't think we will get Mack, but it would be awesome if we did.
  12. I was not one of the people who wanted to see Jones leave. I was all for keeping him for his ability to break a game open with a kickoff return. We need to hope that he stays healthy all season. It still leaves the door open to draft a WR but now it's not such a pressing issue that we need to have one in the first round. With T. Smith and Brown, we don't need to push JJ to spend as much time on the field this year. I would still like us to get a slot receiver or even a tight end.
  13. I think that the CB position could use an upgrade. We are most probably looking at the list of remaining safeties for a veteran to sure up the position along side of Elam. I really have no idea in which direction the Ravens will go with the guys remaining on the board. I do know that we will go with the best player at the right price. It will be an exciting week as we fill in the gaps in our defense.
  14. Eugene Monroe is the splash that I was waiting for. Get in the pool the water is fine! Great job protecting the blind side, Ravens. This will pay off. We got him at a great price and this will help free us up to go in another direction in the draft, too.
  15. Eric Decker will cost too much but would make a great slot receiver with Pitta on the other side of the line. I am all for drafting a big guy like Evans or Ebron, too. Lee, Cooks, and others have the speed that we could use as the 2nd WR. Too bad Ozzie will probably go OL in the first round.
  16. I said 5 years, 55 M, but hope that the bonus and other incentives might make it closer to 50 M. Still, we are not going to waste 2 picks and not make a major attempt to resign him. One thing is for certain, Monroe is not going to come cheap.
  17. I would give Monroe in the neighborhood of $55 M for 5 years because of his age, durability, and the simple fact that he's one of the best LTs available.
  18. Ngata has all the leverage with that huge dead money in cap space looming if he is cut. No one would touch him in a trade, too. I'll be fine with him if he stays healthy and plugs the holes as he has done in the past.
  19. The loss of Pitta would be softened if we can draft a guy like Evans or Ebron.
  20. Make it happen.
  21. That is the same thing I thought when I first heard the news about Suggs. One of them will surely get the franchise tag.
  22. The other alternative was to have him test the market. I just couldn't bear to see him wearing number 55 on the Patriots, Steelers, or Bengals.
  23. I'd keep Ngata but we seriously need to get that cap figure down even if we need to renegotiate with him too.
  24. Honestly, I didn't know who Monroe was before the Ravens got him. I'm ready to get a few more wide bodies in there after watching all those hurries and sacks on Jojo last year.
  25. We need a veteran center who can read defenses on the fly! Hooyah, Ravens!
