  1. Now that the draft is over and things are settling in I have a good feeling that we will have another winning season this year.

  2. One way of looking at it would be that Ozzie will be on the phone trying to trade a NT for Reuben pretty damned soon.
  3. I usually go off half-cocked after the draft, too. I didn't accept Pierce until he broke one for a TD.
  4. I disagree that the whole draft sucks. We had some decent picks. I like 3 picks Mosley, Jernigan, and Brooks. Mosley was a guy who may have gone much higher and is insurance in case Brown turns out to be a dud. The worst case would be a platoon of Brown and Mosley next to Smith. This also provides us with much needed depth in case someone goes down. We passed up with most of the guys I wanted after than and took Jernigan. I can live with him regardless of the criticism of his size, etc. He has a knack of finding the guy with the ball and hits hard. The run will be stopped this year. Brooks gives us a guy who knows how to play FS. He's not the top flight recruit, but familiarity at the position, coming from a championship program, etc., should account for something. What baffled me was when we took a blocking TE who can barely catch and runs like a lineman. I don't really understand taking the small school RB when we could have had the big bad Boston College bruiser in the 3-headed monster. On that note, why did we take an extra NT when we have what 3 already? The rest of the picks need to prove themselves to us. Finally, if we were going to take a QB, why not take McCarron? I never fully understand what goes on behind the scenes, but then again I don't pay the bills for cut fodder either.
  5. Going over to the vent post and unload my skivvies.

  7. A mike foxtrot QB???? What the heck? Oz???? Clipboard holding cut candidate.
  8. Dre Hall isn't bad either.
  9. Ray can teach him how to handle his woman!
  10. KC didn't take Coleman!!! If we dont then see ya!! For today!!!
  11. Nice stats for a guard: 4.0, Masters in Math, looking for a PHD. Team captain at Penn State, too. He'll never crack the starting rotation but it's a move in the right direction. I agree draft Coleman from Rutgers.
  12. When your criterion is a winning season even 8 and 8 isn't acceptable, too.
  13. The pick would have made better since in the 5th or 6th round. We may have had a better TE, too. I am happy with Mosley, Jerrigan, and Brooks. Less than happy with the rest. It all balances out though. Urban has a lot of competition and we still need help at OL and WR.
  14. Take a nap, rook. We'll keep watch while you sleep. Never quit, never surrender.
  15. Spin it for us, bro.
  16. Old geezer from 'bama!
  17. Am I selfish because I wanted us to draft McCarron so that we can see his old lady on the jumbotron???
  18. The only 2 positions of need that we haven't addressed are WR and OL. There is always UDFA, too.
  19. AJ McCarron!!!!
  20. Offense 25th in the league!!!! WE NEED HELP!!!!
  21. REFRIGERATOR MOUNT CODY. We could play the Fat Boyz every time he goes in at M & T too!
  22. Crosses him off my wish list.
  23. The loss of Boldin and Pitta (for part of the season) was greater than imagined because it left Flacco with no reliable check-down guy. Rice and Pierce both struggled with injuries and never got it going in the running game. This forced Flacco to air it out and make more mistakes than ever before in his career. Despite the injuries, the OL didn't do too badly, but it didn't play well enough to push the pile on short yardage situations and in the red zone. It's a testimony to the toughness of Flacco and the linemen who were often playing out of position. Monroe is much better than many people give him credit for and will only improve in a new blocking scheme that is similar to that which he has used his whole pro career. Yanda is my favorite linemen and deserves all the credit for playing through injuries. Now that we have an experienced center we should see the level of play elevate exponentially. I hope and pray that the big guy Osemele is fully healed and can play RT. Let's just get a few more pieces of the puzzle and find a free agent or two later on to fill in the gaps. We are the Ravens, baby. We are winners.
  24. I sure hope Mosley starts because we passed up on both Dix-Clinton and Pryor to take him. He seems to have all the right stuff. ILB is a position that you can substitute players in and out on one side but you definitely need a defensive captain out there for 3 downs to read the plays and audibles. D. Smith is that man on the Ravens now. Mosley will be that guy in a few years but meanwhile he has the tools to start on the other side of the spread.
