  1. Clock Management... How has the team not improved with clock management over the season?!
  2. Their offensive line is as good as advertised. After the first quarter, Dak was bee boppin around back there. I truly believe Jimmy Smith's presence would've made this game much different.
  3. Favorite article every week. This could be like 4 times longer and I would be happy.
  4. How about they just win the division and not worry about the wild card?
  5. No pass rush + poor pass protection = long day
  6. Injury reports have very little value IMO. I read them here every week, but they are designed to obscure who is actually injured and who will actually play.
  7. I'm diggin the close wins. These wins will keep us in the playoff race while the team (hopefully) continues to improve along the way.
  8. It's hard for me to understand why a professional athlete is wearing an oxygen deprivation mask. Ray Rice almost assuredly has a strength and conditioning coach. He or she obviously has a poor understanding of human physiology if they let their client wear one of those masks. One of the biggest fitness scams in recent memory.
  9. Hopefully the McCown to Barnidge connection has cooled down since last year.
  10. Pumped for this team after seeing all these young guys make plays! Side note: Why do they use oxygen after plays? They are 100% saturated. It's not doing anything...
  11. Excited for the RB's and O-line.
  12. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4780097/ This 2013 study by Dodson et al. reviewed ACL tears in the NFL in order to see if there were any trends. I've attached a screen shot from Table.4 of the study and as you can see, ACL injury rates are nearly the same on grass and artificial turf. No statistically significant findings. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4820027/ Another study that was just released a few months ago that aimed at identifying extrinsic risk factors for injuries. They found that playing surface had no significant effect on concussions, hamstring injuries, ankle injuries, knee injuries, but they did note that playing a team game on grass actually increased the risk of shoulder injury. "anecdotal evidence and player reports suggest poor footing on newly sodded soft grass surfaces27 potentially increasing the risk of falls and shoulder impacts." The only solid association this study found was cold temperature correlating to concussions and ankle injuries.
  13. I hope these Young men are Henry to play our rivals on the other side of the mason Dixon line and stack up Moore wins than Lewis's. I'll see my way out.
  14. It's mind blowing to me that this is a new position. They are paying these athletes millions and there is plenty of literature that suggest movement screens can identify individuals who are at risk of injury. They should've had a physical therapist on staff performing screens and evaluations years ago. This move WILL make a difference.
  15. 14 games decided by 8 points of less... That is nuts. Despite all the injuries, this could've been a playoff team if they could finish games.
  16. I hope he can make a comeback. The offense needs that shifty speed.
  17. I'm a bit of a clean freak and the thought of trying to eat this in a stadium seat troubles me. Looks darn good though.
  18. A large part of the return to sport after ACL reconstruction focuses on proprioception, biomechanics, and in this case most likely plyometrics, speed, and footwork. His recovery could lead to better, quicker footwork and the increased ability to move in the pocket and escape the pocket as it collapses.
  19. Awesome. He is coming into a great scenario. Aiken and Perriman will both hold their own and take some stress off of SSS. He was worked like a horse this season.
  20. Contact injuries can't be prevented. However, I've said before that all players should be put through multiple biomechanical analyses. We know that specific movement patterns can predispose athletes to specific injuries. Find any fault movement patterns, correct them, and have fewer non-contact injuries.
  21. It's uncomfortable being on this side of a trap game.
  22. So what you're saying is that these grown need stickers to improve the way they've been playing?
  23. Remember when we were set at TE?
  24. It's laughable at this point. Theres only 4 weeks left, but by 2015 Ravens standards, that's like 10 more injuries, 15 blown calls, 4 more Tucker 50 yard + misses, and probably a contagious virus that reaches the whole team.
