According to the discussions on the rules the council have had. Every team is allowed one cut where you ignore dead money altogether and save the entire base salary. This needs reflected in the rules asap and explained in simple english. No rambling no jibberish. I'm not sure the rules are pretty clear tbh. Id like a rules thread when everything is finalised written by someone..... Then locked and pinned

I dont think it matters if he only has one year left or not. If we cut suggs in july we get his dead money split over 2 years

cap hit minus dead money amt is saving do u recall an increase to cover the draft in previous years.

we normally take the expected league cap and increase it to cover the standard draft allotment. Ie a cap of 132.5. At least I thought we do. If we don't id like to change my team if possible.

Hang on here actually. See the cap room we are working with the 127, do we not normally extend that to incl the draft. Ie 127 plus 5.5 equals 132.5. Everyone works from that?

I wanted to go carolina but they are too tight for cap and no one is cut able. Would carry to much dead money. Another team I pondered was the jets but just too many holes. Complete wr corps 3/5ths oline, qb, safetys. Also considered atl but in wouldn't want matt ryan but couldn't do anything with him

Regards re structuring there isnt actually many teams that do that. Most teams extend contracts and turn base salary into the signing bonus. They are two totally different things.

it actually didn't have anything to do with that. Montgomery was mike Preston's leak to the media apparently and that's why he went. Biscotti even joked about it in the SOTR press conference
