  1. Starting the season with Steve Smith, Kamar Aiken, and Marlon Brown isn't the same as starting it with Torrey Smith, Steve Smith, and Jacoby Jones. I'm not saying we aren't going to make the playoffs, I'm saying it's an area of concern where I wouldn't define us as "fine." There is definite room for improvement there.
  2. You named 6 receivers, 2 of which are currently injured and not playing or practicing. 33% of the receivers you listed are out, you consider that healthy? If 36 year old Steve Smith got injured our 3 WR sets would be Waller, Aiken, and Brown. We all know you are 100% behind the Ravens in every single decision they make, you defended Ngata's BS Adderall excuse last year, so I know you're going to say we're fine. But step back a second. Now look at that sentence again. "If 36 year old Steve Smith got injured our 3 WR sets would be Waller, Aiken, and Brown." You think that's "fine?" Truly?
  3. I don't really understand this mentality. We aren't healthy at receiver though, so we aren't fine. Right?
  4. When Perriman and Campanero are two of your top 3 WRs (with old man Steve Smith as the other) and you feel "good" about it, I have to wonder if our fan base truly is delusional. You know those two guys can't stay on the field to save their life, right?
  5. Oh, well thanks for that random message board commenter. Now I feel much better.
  6. Obviously I'm going to get a wave of down votes for this, but I think Suggs' play was unnecessary. I don't know that it's illegal, but I feel like any type of going low on the starting QB in a preseason game is crossing an unwritten line. That he's got an injury history just compounds it. A preseason sack or QB pressure doesn't mean anything for Suggs. I know I'd be upset if someone went at Flacco like that in the preseason. That being said, why Chip Kelly is running read option with Bradford is beyond me.
  7. I don't know who evaluates the Steelers wide recievers but Bisciotti should just offer that guy a million dollar salary. They're on a run of Hines Ward, Plaxico Buress, Santonio Holmes, Mike Wallace, Antonio Brown, Emanuel Sanders, and I'm sure either Wheaton or Bryant will end up being amazing. Our drafted receiver list reads like an obituary column. Frankly I'm amazed that a franchise that seemingly does everything well can consistently fail in this one specific area.
  8. I understand how these things work, but this LFW is pretty much copy and pasted from MMQBs column. Diversify your sources a little next time?
  9. I'm not a big Jah Reid fan or anything, but it doesn't seem likely we would cut him after resigning him this offseason.
  10. If you've been holding out on the time distortion device I'm going to be a little upset. Seriously though, I agree with your post, less fluff, more substance.
  11. Bill Barnwell made a good argument that the 2006 Ravens were the best defense in NFL history. I remember being in a mid black out haze and crying on the Purple Patio when we lost that game to the Colts. Unfreaking real. http://grantland.com/features/a-tale-of-two-cities/ (scroll towards the bottom)
  12. Without the Lee Evans drop or the Cundiff miss we probably don't get "No Weapons.." or "The Last Ride." I agree with previous posters, there's no guarantee we get back to the Super Bowl the following year if we made it in 2011 (that being said we would have smashed the Giants). I'd say the Rex Ryan time out would be the worst if the Patriots had completed 19-0, but they didn't. The pick-6 against the Steelers is probably the play I'd change. It's at least a 10 point swing in a game we lost by 9 points to our hated rivals. In addition, if we had won that game, regardless of what happened in the Super Bowl, I'd never have to hear "SIXburgh" again, and for that reason, it's the play I'd change.
  13. I deal with a lot of casual fans, and they typically give me a quizzical look when I say his name.
  14. I want Maxx Williams to succeed as much as any Ravens fan, but I cannot for the life of me understand why Crockett Gillmore doesn't get more love. He was the only rookie TE to get a positive grade by Pro Football Focus. He was just starting to get involved in the passing game towards the end of last year, but his blocking was good all season. Jason Worilds slapped him in the playoffs, and he came back and scored a touchdown on him. He's already part of the rivalry. And he has a cool name. I for one am on the Crockett bandwagon.
  15. If they showed a picture of Modell they would have burned the building down.
  16. I agree that Wes Welker would be a bad signing. But don't suggest we're loaded at WR with Steve Smith and a bunch of unproven talent.
  17. I was thinking this seemed possible also. Smith, Aiken, and Brown are all more proven, and obviously Perriman is a lock to make the team. I would think Darren Waller would make the team as a 6th round draft pick this year. So if we are holding six recievers there would be one slot left and he'd be competeing for it. That being said, knowing we will have a fullback and three tight ends I don't think it would be unreasonable for us to go with only five recievers. He's also got a little bit of an injury history. Whatever, it would give him more time to hang out at Scores.
  18. The picture of Flacco along with the quote "getting hyped" is probably the funniest thing I'll see today. Way to look hyped Joe.
  19. Can't we just get over Boldin though. *rolls eyes
  20. I didn't see this one coming. Hopefully the contract details are out soon. Is it just me, or is the background on Josina's facebook page a little odd. Those pictures look "too" professional.
