    All sorts of fun stuff!
  1. Yeah...Marshall...8 years too late but I did say it then... What a combo they would have made over this time... I was the first post about no more 'maybe'wide recievers here... http://m.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/You-Said-It---Should-the-Ravens-Trade-for-Brandon-Marshall/E60D09B8-6E77-49BE-A313-351F3BF69453
  2. Our draft overall was great...you can't argue with that. Time will tell on our first 2 picks...I was one of the ranters. I would have taken Tunsil in a heartbeat...and possibly Jack at 2. But in 3 years...we'll see...
  3. I've been looking at the history over the last 10 years of our draft picks. A few hits......LOTS of misses. I know, so disappointing. We love mid round collecting, and we get solid but not great picks. And we definitely have no clue on how to draft WR's, hence, never a pro bowl Wideout in our history, ever. Thanks for the comment.
  4. Lets call out what we really did. Over the past few years the Ravens have declined in our drafting ability. We have the same old boys in the war room drunk with confidence in our drafting...thinking we know the best players out there. We have been outsmarting ourselves with what we think we know. So, rather than taking the chance on elite players with a question mark, we went safe early and then try to grab quantity later in the draft hoping to find that future star. Key word, hoping. If you told me we had the choice to take Tunsil and Jack in the 1st 2 rounds or Stanley and Correa, I would of bet my life on the two best players at their respective positions...Clearly, Tunsil and Jack. Complete no brainer. But No, we did not. Jack has the bigger question mark but his ability is so far beyond Correa. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but seriously, this is probably our worst draft decision I have seen since our existence of the franchise. Matt Elam and Arthur Brown a few years ago was bad, and I called it then, but this is a chance we blew with our high pick. So disappointing. Save your insults on my post...I have a football and lacrosse playing and coaching background and know athletes, and my passion for this game is second to none. Once our last game ends every season, I research the draft and mocks everyday for fun and watch all I can to do my own evaluations for the first couple of rounds. Of course I don't know everything but I know my stuff, period. Later rounds are for the career people and scouts, they have that time to reseach that. 1st and 2nd rds, I know like the back of my hand with these athletes, with the exception of some diamonds in the rough.. Ultimately, time will tell on our picks but my money is this evaluation on our first 2 picks. I really do hate to say it, cuz I bleed black and purple, but educated fans out there know I'm right and don't say "in Ozzie we Trust"...that was true for so long, but not in recent years. Proof in in the pudding...go back and look at the history.
  5. Super safe pick. I hate it. There was Tunsil at OL and everybody else. Stanley was at the top of everybody else. I don't care if Tunsil smoked weed, or took money or any other immature things, he's a kid in a giant mans body...he learned. He doesn't rape, beat or do any thug life things to really red flag him. The video is only going to get the best OT a chip on his shoulder and that is great for Miami. Truth will be know in a few years but WOW...I really am disappointed in out pick. The Ravens are scared of any risk now because of past media circuses. Sorry Ozwaldo...but I don't trust that pick guy.
  6. Grrrreat news! lol... Thanks Rams!...if Cleveland goes QB too...that is so awesome. We should go Ramsey, Tunsil, Bosa, Jack...in that order to pick from. Can't lose there. Buckner is last of the five in my mind...cuz I'm not high on a Chris Canty 2.0 but I'll take it if we have to.
  7. Ronnie Stanley is not elite enough for pick 6. He looked like a JV kid at the combine compared to Tunsil...He's a great pick but not at 6. Please Ravens, do not pick him unless we have traded back and he's still there. Too much value elsewhere for a real game changing playmaker at pick six.
  8. I would take this guy in the 4th RD...no questions, if he's still there. "THE GERMAN" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jfv0OPczDlw
  9. HA! I wanted this guy...he will be sneaky good.
  10. Note to Ravens: Make a BIGGER trade. with SSS hurt for who knows how long ...this is not good.
  11. Can you say T.O.? or Ocho Cinco? LOL. Damn, we are in trouble. Seriously tho, time for the Ravens to make a splash with a monster trade for a WR. Or heck, even get Welker or Wayne to just have someone that can catch. Jeez...
  12. We can say it was this and say it was that about our loss. But one truth that was extremely apparent (besides our line struggling) is the lack of receivers we have. Steve Smith is the only one. All of our other guys, as I quote all the time, are "maybe" receivers. Well, maybe they can become this or maybe they will be the answer to that...ugh. C'mon Bmore fans, you need to know football better than that. Joe secretly has no faith in his WR's. 6 completions to WR's?? All game? Steve Smith is our only guy and that's not hard to defend when it's only one real guy to worry about. Remember those bombs Joe was raining down in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters? Oh wait, there were none. WOW. None. Perriman's speed is needed to blow that top off of a DEF to open the run and intermediate routes and without any real speed at WR we are truly in trouble. Pessimistic post here...maybe...but also realistic. I have faith our season is still going to be good but man, we really need help at WR...now. Anyone that thinks otherwise, well, just doesn't know football.
  13. Lets not forget...Charles James looked nasty when they put him at RB in the backfield...just saying.
  14. OK. Here is the deal...without a healthy Breshad Perriman that can produce we may be in trouble. I had that same injury in a lax game in which I fell directly on my knee and supposedly "bruised it"...well 3 months later it was not better and I had to get surgery from the bursa sac formed and was out for a long time. I have no clue exactly Perriman's injury consists of but I hope it was not like mine..I still have problems with it. But falling directly on the knee cap and being out this long is NOT a good sign. We will need to aquire somebody via free agency, trade, or somewhere to compete. Our current receiver corp is not gonna do it and I hate to say it. We have a stud on a sunset cruise of his career in SSS and a bunch of guys with a "maybe" label on them. That does not cut it in the NFL. Please get a back up plan Baltimore..
  15. For the record. I think this new rule is a big mistake. It will change the game more than wanted and time will tell that. Won't be surprised if it's changed back in time.
