About Pauly Shore.. I saw him do stand up in Timoneum I think in late 2011. He and another comedian on tour with him (wish I could remember his name) mentioned how LA didn't have a team, and that they were looking for one. I know everyone cheered when they mentioned being in Ravens country. I gave the other comedian a Ravens lighter. I didn't really think too much of it afterwards.. I hope they're Ravens fans though now!
That's pretty cool, you being at most of the home games.
Yeah! My family has 4 seats, and usually my fiancé, me and my parents go.. But every year or so there's a game where some of their friends want to go or some crap.. This year it was the Seahawks game.. So I didn't miss out on much!
The article explains why he wasn't on the big screens in past years.
I swear the first time I read that it didn't say that!
I'll give them this for not noticing.. I've been going to mostly all the home games for a bunch of years now and I don't remember them ever showing him on the big screens before this season. Maybe but not nearly as much!
Every time I hear country or pop playing at the stadium I cringe and wonder how that could pump up the players at all. I agree with Suggs. Why play the music for the fans if it won't help the players. We're there to see them perform well and if they want to choose the music let them.
I don't know. When he first hit him.. I agreed with it. Alex Smith showed later he will act like he's going out and turn up field for an extra 5 yards. Don't want anybody injured but I see what Timmy means.
Can someone tell me why that team has to be so disrespectful after they lose? All they seemed to have talked about is how they should have won. I don't know when the last time I saw an offense play as bad as the rams did yesterday. They had as many passing yards as we had penalty yards. The Ravens won in every statistical category. It just took till the end for everything to come together. I'm crushed about the injuries, but very proud of every member of our team coming through in that game. Get well Joe, Justin and everybody. Go Ravens.
All of a sudden all the national writers and reporters have an interest in our team.. Mainly just wanting us to trade away key players. The same players they didn't care for a whole lot last season. They act like it's best for the players and our team when really it's just something they want for themselves to take away members of our team.
Really? That's interesting. What's their last name? Estonia is heck a small so there's some chance I might now some of their relatives. I myself have relatives in the States as well, on the west coast however.
I actually did some research, like 10 years ago, about Estonians migration to the States during the WWII and found out about Baltimore being one of the main first destinations. Since I also started watching football at the same time, I automatically started following the Ravens. Have bee my team ever since.
That's awesome! Yeah back then Bmore was a major port city. I've also got some family that went to New Jersey and some in Virginia. My grandparents last name is Kiima and my grandmothers before they got married was Maiste. They have an Estonian house in the city where they teach the language. My sister and I went when we were younger.
I still haven't visited Estonia but recently I've been more adamant with my family about it. So hopefully really soon we will make it out there!
Hardcore Ravens fan from Estonia, Europe here.
My grandparents are from Estonia.. Live here in Maryland now. Baltimore has actually a good bit of Estonians!
Ticked me off too. After we got a lead it seemed like they were just out to hurt people. No wonder they had a fight the other week. Hopefully everyone is okay and healthy for week 1.
Yeah it is. It's called McDaniel now too. I played golf there once then a friend of mine went to school there.
man i wish i could make it tonight. usually busy monday nights. i'll be there soon enough though!
I went to an ESPN article about it and it was filled with patriots fans still going at everyone is out to get them. How our team is scared to play them and our coach is always whining. I wonder where they come up with this crap. If I remember right they were the ones who were afraid to play us last season. For good reason. We should have won that game. Their bandwagon fans all over the place are out of control. I'd write back to some comments on there, but I don't have a Facebook. Oh well. I love our team and our owner.. And even if he didn't put a statement out denying this report, I agree they should suspend tom brady anyway. Hopefully we see them in the playoffs. Go Ravens!
wheres the 40 tackles 10 sacks option?!
In Evans defense the ball was knocked out of his hands.
yeah.. that one has always kinda bothered me because he caught it.. and settled to what i kinda consider long enough that it could have been ruled a td anyway.
I don't know how ngata knows how their defense is anyway.. He skipped most of the offseason!
Bill Barnwell made a good argument that the 2006 Ravens were the best defense in NFL history. I remember being in a mid black out haze and crying on the Purple Patio when we lost that game to the Colts. Unfreaking real.

Our 2006 defense was amazing though.. I was at that game we lost to the colts, and was also super upset about it. Somebody on profootballtalk tried to make a point using us losing as to why the 06 defense wasn't that good, but I didn't go through the trouble of registering to respond to them. We didn't lose because of our defense, we turned the ball over deep in our own territory, and also when we got close to scoring. And only gave up field goals to peyton manning in his prime. I remember that season seeing a few minute long espn story talking about how no teams really were able to get past the 50 yard line on us. And calling the middle of our field the Baltimore triangle or something.. Man if we had a defense like that, with our offense now.. We might not lose a game!
What keeps me sane in the middle of the season after tough games is remembering there are always ups and downs and as long as we make it to the playoffs we've got as good of a shot as anybody!
I hope Justin Tucker is having a good time in Italy! He picked some great places to go! My fiancand I had our boat leave on the Amalfi Coast with my family on it a few years back and we had to take a bus and train back to Naples. Down south less people speak english so it's a little tougher to figure stuff out ha.
Didnt Mason say he wanted to retire a raven or something?
yeah he did retire a Raven.. i like him, but i remember him being pretty hated for a bit.
Welcome back! Hope your vacation was great! I don't think the guy looks like Flacco either but I guess enough people do to make it news! Mason and Quadry up against each other? That's harsh. Don't think I can make that choice. Love them both.
I don't remember exactly what Mase said when he got cut, but I feel like there's a reason he doesn't make appearances.. Qadry though.. I enjoy everything he writes or says, even though it'll be pretty biased.. Mason did some great things, it just makes it hard for me since he got booed a ton when he played against us in his last season
I take the sports writers at The Sun" very lightly, especially Preston. I am always amazed at their lack of support for the "home team" sometimes. And "Russell Street Report????? That are awful with that stuff.
Yeah especially when it comes time to picking the games! I couldn't pick against the Ravens, because I feel like they can play with anybody. Sometimes though more than half of the local writers pick the opposing team.
With the dead money the Ravens will have freed up after this season, shouldn't there be enough to sign both Yanda and Osemele. They definitely need to keep those two together for as long as they can. Granted to do that means sayonara to Courtney Upshaw, but maybe ZaDarius Smith will develop the way Ozzie invisioned. Fingers crossed
That's what I would think too! Rice and Ngata free up a ton next year, but then I don't know what cap numbers go up. An extension with Flacco though after this season when his cap hit goes up, and I think we will be good to go signing our free agents. I'm stoked about the near future.

Me too! I don't get why everybody thinks that's a good deal. Any other team moving up 9 spots is giving up a crap ton more than a second. Especially to move up to 6. I want a future 1st plus that 2nd
