  1. Kamar Aiken is a starting WR in this league. He is an excellent route runner who works his tail off to get open, plays physical, and makes contested catches. We just need speed opposite of him to back safeties out of the box. Perriman? And Jeremy Butler has been showing flashes of being an explosive WR. He is big bodied like Kamar, but he is much lankier than Aiken. His long arms create a larger catch radius, but he really benefits after the catch as he covers ground quickly. Both guys are not afraid to go over the middle and take hits. IMO Aiken should be starting next year and Butler should be in the slot or vice versa.
  2. This story was recycled too many times already. Marlon Brown was not a contributor to this team on the field in 2016 other than a few drops. Lets stop talking about all the injuries and talk about the players who are making plays. Zadarius Smith, Jeremy Butler, Kamar Aiken, Buck Allen have been flashing in games recently...
  3. I sat in this guys section two years ago. He takes his shirt off after every TD scored. The game I went to we scored 42 and I couldn't get enough of it.
  4. Joe has to decide if he cares more about money or winning because he isn't the guy who can carry a team himself and we need more talent to become playoff contenders next year. $28M Cap Hit. No player on this team is worth that.
  5. Kamar Aiken IS our starting WR, and Butler needs more opportunities moving forward. I love the way these guys work to get open and make plays. We are only missing a Deep Threat WR. Perriman? Talk up Mallett all you want, but he had open WR's to work with, a solid running game, time to throw, and an excellent defensive performance behind him. I thought Mallett showed off his arm talent and made good decisions protecting the football, but his mobility and awareness in the pocket make him a liability when he faces pressure. He took a few hits and sacks that Flacco aviods, but overall he obviously brings more to the table than Schaub and Clausen.
  6. So we get a Top 10 pick and a Steelers sweep in a rebuilding year. This season ain't so bad after all. So proud of the fight these guys showed today. Allen, Aiken, Butler continue to step up, but we won this game like we have won the majority of our games in Baltimore: with Defense. Get our identity back Harbaugh!!!
  7. Why can't Marlon be a heathy scratch when we have Aiken, Butler, Brown, Givens, and Clay?
  8. FACT. This falls on Ozzie and Coaching.
  9. It was Ed Reed, Chris McAlister, Ray Lewis, Adalius Thomas, Bart Scott, Haloti and myself. That%u2019s what we know as %u2018Organized Chaos.%u2019 We got after teams, and we had fun at practices. Special, very special.%u201D - We need some more Organized Chaos. I look at this defense now, and I see 2 or 3 players that can make impact plays and change a game. Our defense used to be littered with guys like that. We need more guys with bad intentions. Guys who teams must account for or they will wreak havoc on their QB's (Sizzle is the prototype, go find more Sizzle). This team is getting soft and it is hard to watch.
  10. Tomilin is what you want in a Head Coach. He respects the game, and the rivalry. It's our job to spoil end their season 2 years in a row.
  11. I think Kamar is solid and he is getting open. Jeremy Butler also has ability. He just needs more opportunities. Butler is a Big Fast WR with long strides and good hands. These guys are developing, but Danny Brown had a tough game. I think we should find one other deep threat along with Perriman and that could be our 4Wide when SR retires. I say draft a CB and a Pass Rusher 1st and 2nd. We need Flacco to get healthy, and we need to stop the pass.
  12. How many games has Flacco only put up 6 Points at home?
  13. I 100% agree that they keep digging themselves a bigger hole. I think Jimmy can be good if coaching allows him to be a physical press corner but he must have a pass rush so he can have Safety help on deep balls. Webb is not starting caliber anymore, but does show promise at deep safety. Regardless, neither is worth what they are currently being paid, and we should be looking to reload and add lockdown corners to this team.
  14. LOL Alex Smith is just being respectful. What he means to say is: I'm going to cut through them like a hot knife through butter.
  15. Do not blame injuries on the success of our season. We were a losing team with Flacco, Suggs, Smith, Forsett, etc. Stop trying to fool ourselves. We need more talent on the field and in the coaching staff. Our CB's get smoked, we can't generate a rush without sending the house. Our linebackers are too big and slow to cover TE's and RB's. Our blocking has been average, our play calling does not capitalize and put up points or put teams away. We can't stop teams on 3rd down, or make crucial stops to win games. Good QB's terrorized us. Every team deals with injuries. Next man up philosophy. If we didn't have a single injury this team is probably 8-8 or 7-9 with an easy schedule and we are talking about how a few close games could have put us in the playoffs. Reality is your record. 4-9.
  16. This is where Ozzie has been failing. He has poorly managed the cap and we find ourselves in the situaiton every year unable to retain guys who should become core leaders in Baltimore. We need to take advantage of the draft, because that is the place where you can find the best talent for your buck. 2nd would be aging Free Agents that are still hungry. 3rd would be retaining our own, 4th would be signing top talent from other teams that are still in their prime. We know what the most expensive positions to fill are, and the most important positions. We should use the draft to reload the expensive positions (Pass Rusher, Corner, LT, WR) or sign hungry aging FA's to fill in for a few years until we can find a replacement. So when McPhee left because we didn't have enough to pay him. We should have signed a bargain rusher, or drafted one early that can make an immediate impact. We continue to extend contracts to guys who aren't worth the money. Webb, Monroe, Jimmy got (Top 5 money) Not a top 5 CB. Flacco's deal was fine until you have to pay out the last few years where he is being paid $28M, 31M, 24M. These contracts keep stretching our cap now, and kill our cap in the future. You can't miss 1st Round picks either and Ozzie has missed a lot under Harbaugh.
  17. Brown flashes when he is on the field. A big fast physical WR is what we have been begging for in Baltimore. I would like to see his role expand along with Jeremy Butler.
  18. Tunsil would be great to pick up, and so would Doctson, but if we don't address the defense it will look even worse than it has. You might not remember because we haven't played that many great teams this year, but I promise you we will get dominated if we can't make the crucial stops, particularly on 3rd Down. Go back and look at our season. Carr torched us, Palmer Torched us, McCown torched us, Dalton torched us. In every game you could argue that our offense played good enough to win yet we couldn't stop good QB's when it mattered. Playoff QB's will eat us up. It will look like the Russel Wilson show is back in Baltimore every time we play a good passing offense. The worst way to lose is a blowout because you can't even make excuses. You simply have to admit you weren't good enough. That is exactly what this team is.
  19. I understand where you are coming from, but I think you are using bad examples. From what I have seen from Kamar Aiken and Jeremy Butler makes me believe they belong in this league. They are guys we have developed. But in order for us to truly develop a WR we have to invest a high draft pick in the position. Perriman is hurt so you can't really include him in the example. Torrey became a reliable deep threat who could draw penalties and score TD, but never was a physical possession WR. Under the Harbaugh era 2008-2015 we have drafted only two WR's in the first 3 rounds of the draft. (Perriman 1st Round, Smith 2nd Round). I would invest more draft picks in speedy WR's with great work ethic because that is what the game is moving towards. I thought Ihedigbo played great for us, but we let him walk. Stewart had a solid year also when the pass rush was working. He is just blessed that Denver has Von Miller and Demarcus Ware creating havoc for QB's. Jimmy Smith is a solid corner, but he needs a good pass rush for him to look better. Webb gets beat in man coverage far too often. Arrington was a bust, and we let Melvin walk through poor management. I think our CB's play soft coverage too often, yet they still get smoked. When I watch Arizona play I become envious of their defense. There DB's play like a bunch of mad dogs. They are in your grill and don't let you get anything easy. And they love to hit. I would be looking at their DB coaches and Defensive coaches trying to lure them in. We still lack talent its a long bleeding process after winning a super bowl, failing to adapt to the offensive minded penalties and pass happy schemes that littler the current NFL and missing on draft picks. I hope this pathetic season we put together is the reality check this team needs. Injuries are not the problem. Talent and coaching is.
  20. Jerry Rosberg has been incredibly impressive operating his special teams units. The rest of this team looks like it is in shambles, but he has led the best special teams unit in the league. I have noticed that Koch and Tucker seem to have different style of kicks, and that we try to kick away from guys, but I had no idea how many problems Koch was creating for punt returners.
  21. WR wasn't the reason why this team couldn't get it done. Every good QB we faced tore us up in embarrassing fashion. We didn't capitalize enough on offense this year, and never finished teams off when we had the lead, but It was our defense that couldn't hold its own against the top offenses. Flacco has only been successful with a great defense. He doesn't need the best WR's in the NFL, he needs a possession WR, a Deep Threat, a Solid TE, and a good O-Line. Bosa or Ramsey Round 1. Oakman Round 2. Think about how we dominated Pittsburgh in the playoffs last year. The formula to win with Flacco has already been proven. This team needs more defensive talent.
  22. Flacco's value is not being increased watching two back up QB's run a beaten down offense. It is our defense that has proven it doesn't cut it against good QB's. We need more defensive talent. If the roster we fielded never had an injury we would still need more defensive talent. This should be a learning experience for Ozzie, Harbaugh, and Pees on how the league has evolved. Big strong run stuffing LB's are out of favor for undersized fast coverage LB's. Take a note out of the Cardinals Playbook. The brought a Safety down to play OLB it is working. Pass rushers come at a premium for a good reason. We can't continue to get torched through the Air.
  23. They are finally making the decision on Webb. It should be interesting to see what these young guys can do without much of a pass rush. I think it is clear that we are looking at a top 5 pick. I hope Ozzie can do some damage picking at the front of the draft.
  24. KO looking beastly at LT. We spent all this time and money trying to replace Ogden and the guy we needed was playing LG the whole time. Brandon Williams better get a new contract.
  25. Odell is the modern day Jerry Rice. Ravens sure could use a guy who wants to be the best at his craft.
