  1. What if we took ball hawking Vernon Hargreaves Round 1, and ball so hard Carl Joseph Round 2. We could add two aggressive and confident playmakers that want to be great. They would bring the intimidation factor back to our secondary that Reed and Chris McAlister brought in their prime. We already have Jimmy Smith to hold down the Big WR's.
  2. Watch the Trent Richardson video. We might have found an incredibly hungry RB who wants to prove everyone wrong and make it.
  3. Bosa didn't run slow for a guy his size. His 10yd Split was better than expected. Everyone was questioning his 1st Step but he ran faster than a big group of talented guys. The total package of Bosa keeps him at the top of the draft.
  4. So he wlll be making more than Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton and Russell Wilson. Makes sense. I will never get over the decision to backload the contract only to go 8-8, 10-6, and 5-11 with 1 playoff win in 3 years. TERRIBLE!
  5. Food for thought... Carl Davis DT: Height: 6'5" Weight: 320 lbs Arm: 34 5/8" 40 Time: 5.07 sec Hands: 11" DeForest Buckner DE: Height: 6'7" Weight: 290 Arm: 34 3/8" 40 Time: 5.05 sec Hands: 11 3/4" With our staff's love for traits over production, don't be surprised one bit if we trade back and select Emmanuel Ogbah in the 1st. He was moving incredibly well for a guy with his size and length. He probably improved his stock the most today because he showed the explosiveness teams covet, along with the ability to drop in coverage.
  6. Just a thought, maybe the content they release actually needs to be approved in order to not tip the hat for the competition. Also does the combine coverage actually matter vs getting results in the way of solid players that will play for a long time. I mean if your just after combine coverage than check out other sources like the official NFL sources, because multiple sources then to give you better idea of the reality. I am fairly certain all sources are reporting softly in the sense they are putting together stories and reports that say some but nothing conclusive, all opinion based. Imagine being a reporter and accidentally giving away your teams draft strategy accidentally. I;m specifcally speaking about player interviews. The only place I was able to see them were on other team sites and not NFL.com. We could’ve have at least posted the interviews of players that have been mocked to us. Not too big of a deal and I don’t think needs approval. What approval to show player interviews? Just takes effort and work. I would just use NFL.com for that. They have all the right to the coverage anyways.
  7. Tomorrow is a huge day: DBs. The LB out of Wisconsin Joe Schobert looks really impressive if we could grab him in the later rounds. Watch his tape on Draft Breakdown. He is a playmaker who would help on special teams right away could be groomed to replace Daryl Smith in the long haul. Bosa definitely checked out today as advertised. Buckner moves incredibly well for a guy his size. I thought there were some really athletic defensive lineman today. We could easily add someone to the rotation in the 2nd or 3rd Round if we don't take Bucker. CB is the position that drops off fast. That is why I still like Hargreaves if Jack and Bosa are gone.
  8. Sheldon Day from Notre Dame is a guy people should watch. He is an undersized DT, much like Kelly Gregg, but plays like his pants are on fire. His athleticism might allow him to play 3-4 DE. He will be available in the 3rd-4th Round and we could address other positions like CB, OLB, or LT in the first.
  9. Boldin and Pitta dominated the playoffs. Jacoby was crucial on some splash plays, but we need help on defense. Steve Smith has proven he is still an effective deep threat. Perriman is a blazer. Even Jeremy Butler has big play ability. And Aiken is a solid possession WR. I don't think we need a WR, but there are a few guys would I would take if they fell to the later rounds. Doctson and Shepard are my guys. Higgins, Malcolm Mitchel, or Braxton Miller could be a nice developmental players in the 3rd Round or later.
  10. Watching Henry run the 40 made me want us to draft him. No one will want to tackle that man once he gets downhill. I almost wish RB was a need so we could justify a 2nd Round pick on him.
  11. Trading back a few picks would not surprise me either. It is a much better strategy trading back at the top of the draft vs. a trading out of the 1st Round like we did with Kindle and Upshaw because you are still left with a great 1st Round pick. It will be interesting to see what they do. I think Myles Jack and Bosa are must draft players if they are available. Everyone seems to drool over Buckner because he has the physical traits to be a beast. Ramsey also has all the tools you are looking for in a DB except fluid hips and the fact that he really didn't make that many plays at FSU. If you check Ozzie's draft history, he often takes guys with all the physical tools over guys who produced in college. The formula has worked in the past. I would also love to get Sterling Shepard if we have a chance. He may end up being the best WR in this class. I expect him to go Round 2 after his combine performance.
  12. We need a replacement for Daryl Smith, and Mosely isn't even close to Jack in terms of physicality, speed, and reaction time. Mosely has struggled to cover TE's and RB's in space. That is Jack's biggest strength. Jack's versatility would be a huge benefit to the defense. He could even play nickel corner on passing downs. Jack will likely be gone before we draft at No. 6 though. Jack's ability, much like Ray Lewis in his prime will create turnovers and it will create 3rd and long which will get your defense off the field.
  13. Not having to take Stanley allows us more flexibility in the Draft so we can address other needs. The writing is on the wall for Monroe. He can't be relied on. That is your job at LT. The media needs to realize that Monroe doesn't have what it takes to be a Raven. It doesn't even matter if he cashes out. I would rather see a Rookie holding it down.
  14. Let me put it this way. Myles Jack already has the instincts of a 10 year vet, he is the fastest ILB prospect we have seen in a long time, he plays with an intimidation factor kinda like this guy who led our defense for almost two decades and wants to be the bully. On top of that he embraces coverage, and would often line up at corner for UCLA, covering WR's 40 yards down field. Youtube Voch Lombardi Miles Jack and you can see some great film of his ability. He is the most polished player in this draft and is probably the best athlete as well. He played RB for UCLA also.
  15. KO played tackle in college, and actually looked better playing tackle the last 4 games. He gives you something that is rare at the LT position. The true physicality of a guard, but the feet of a LT. Ozzie and Co. would not have offered him LT money if they didn't like what they saw.
  16. This also has huge draft implications. Stanley might be off the table.
  17. Best news I have heard on this site in a long time.
  18. Unless we somehow land Myles Jack...Trade with San Diego?
  19. I agree about the kicking the can down the road. Joe has proven he is a winner in the right situation. Great Defense and a balanced run/pass attack. We need to get the personnel on this team that has made us successful in the past. I think we have learned that he is likely overpaid for what he is capable of. Flacco himself should realize he can't win consistently without a great defense. Maybe an "elite" 1 or 2 QB's can, but they won't go anywhere in the playoffs without a defense backing them up.
  20. I think we need to validate Perriman's birth certificate. Those knee ligaments sure do heal slow.
  21. You can't deny that Ozzie had missed on the early picks. That is where we need to find leaders, and stars who take this team to the next level. We have not been able to replace the Franchise Ravens that we have lost over the years. I would say there is still hope for Elam, but he has to have a healthy season. Think about how long it took Jimmy Smith to get it together.
  22. Josh Doctson has a very similar frame to AJ Green.
  23. Cromartie is has had issues with child support to the point where he has needed contract advances. At this stage in his career, I don't think he is the guy we need.
  24. Suggs and Bosa holding down the edge. How do you run on us? I feel like Bosa and Suggs are almost the same type of player. QB's would fear the obvious passing downs.
  25. Jaylon Smith is likely the best defensive player in the draft. He can play every LB position in a 4-3 or 3-4 and he is worth the wait. Smith tore his ACL on Jan 1st. Flacco tore his ACL in November 2015 and is expected to be back by Training Camp.
