Trestman has a returning O-Line, a ton of weapons to work with, and the Big Man pulling the trigger. I can't wait to see this offense torch some teams. COUGH COUGH Denver...We need make Baltimore this Football journeyman's permanent home. Also it saddens me that so many of these great coordinators always jump at the opportunity to become head coaches. I understand it from a financial perspective, but with the decision to move to HC come a much different type of responsibility that many are not built for. A head coach needs to be charismatic, disciplined, persuasive, and must be able to lead a group of highly paid young men. They must know what their identity is as a team and get everyone on board. The ability to multitask and manage an operation is crucial. It is an added workload that many are not comfortable with nor are then meant for it. And lastly you take on the blame when thing go wrong. Harbaugh is perfect for the role. But so many fail miserably. I would rather be a coordinator for a successful organization where I have a large impact on the team, get to build long lasting relationships with the coaching staff, owner, GM, player personnel department, players and fans. To have security and know that work will be in my city next year for my family. Look at Kubiak. He left the best organization and support in the league for a QB on his last leg. When Manning retires he will be in the same boat as Houston, not knowing where to turn or how to get a rise out of his team. I don't think he is that fiery coach that can get his team amped up and prepared for games or get more out of players than they even knew they were capable of. Hopefully he has learned from Harbaugh, but I think these coordinators should really do their due diligence instead of just assuming that a Head Coaching job is the next stop.
