  1. Man I can't believe that I am saying this, but I hate the Patriots more than the Steelers now. All of the cheating, the media hoopla, the horrible bandwagon fans that don't know the rules, and the special treatment of No. 12. I respect the Steelers and the style of football they have played. The Patriots organization is Slime, yet their fans act like they are classy. They continue to hit on the Ray Lewis story, when their own guy was caught red handed on 2 different occasions. What I did learn from that game is our Defense is going to be a huge advantage this year in the AFC. We would have marched up and down the field on both of those teams last night. Their D-Line's were getting pushed around, their LB's were out of position, and their secondaries can't cover. The Steelers had 3 different occasions where they actually didn't have a player covering Gronk. Thats too easy. The kicking situation is also horrible for Pittsburgh. Troy and Ike knew what they were doing when they retired.
  2. "Jacoby made everyone cringe as he would bring deep kicks out of the endzone?" Jamison Hensley. As in leading the NFL in Kick Return Average in 2014. We are missing Jacoby and never found a replacement. Hopefully Camp can stay healthy and make plays. And we cut Daniel Brown to make room for Asa. When will we learn that he isn't any good? It took the Giants 2 days.
  3. Just Saying, Ozzie should have kept Boldin, Torrey and Jacoby. Signed Sr. That would be a WR Core. If that was the case, we probably wouldn't have a secondary though. : (
  4. The Ravens should trade a draft pick for Tavon Austin. He could be our kick returner, slot WR, and catch balls out of the backfield like sproles.
  5. Webby can actually play Dime CB with Jimmy, Melvin, and Arrington. Camp and Webb should handle the duties. Hopefully they can stay healthy. I am so happy we signed Arrington cause he eliminates the question marks that we could have in the secondary.
  6. Jackson has proven that he can't be trusted to return kicks. He almost dropped his first punt return also. It looks like we are relying two injury prone players in (Campanaro and Webb) to handle our return duties, unless a proven returner becomes available when everyone cuts to 53. Nelson earned a spot on this team IMO. It's not about what you do in practice. It's what you can do in game action. He even impacted special teams.
  7. Asa Jackson has proven that he can't be trusted to return kicks. He will, at some point, put the ball on the ground this year, and make poor decisions as to when to field punts. He almost dropped the first ball on the good return he had. This year we will rely on two injury prone players (Campanaro and Webb) to handle the return duties unless there are some reliable veteran's cut. IMO Jackson shouldn't make the team. Pointer and Vaughn are better corners and he doesn't bring enough on special teams.
  8. Webb should be playing nickel Week 1 in Denver, maybe even dime since we have Arrington. Melvin has been in game action and playing well. He is a good tackler which will come in handy vs. Sanders and Thomas. I would rather ease Webb back in. Good to hear that the "soft tissue issue" has healed Camp. You should have heard what the guys on ESPN radio baltimore had to say about that as I was driving into the stadium.
  9. I am not sold on Asa doing kicks or punts. I thought he did a poor job communicating on short punts, not telling people to get out of the way, and he also had the fumble. I don't think he is a good corner either being undersized and a poor tackler. That doesn't sound like the best use of a roster spot to me. I wish we drafted a return specialist to replace Jacoby. The position is so vital to field position and not giving breaks to teams. There were some years where we rolled the dice previously that didn't turn out well. We shall see if any free agents become available when teams cut to 53.
  10. Man, when he gets going, get out of his way. The announcers said he is 6'6" 275. I believe it...What a perfect response to toss Robinson to the ground before diving into the endzone.
  11. Webb renegotiated his contract, but we are pretty much stuck with him for the next 2 years, and would still be hit with some dead money if we let him go in 2017. We should sign all CB's to 4 year contracts or less. It's so hard to stay at the top of your game. Chris McAlister was the best CB we have ever had and he was in his prime for maybe 5-6 years.
  12. The Ravens like Hurst at LT. It will be a good look if he gets to face the high motor Kerrigan. I hope we open things up in this game and pick on their secondary. Flacco needs some good vibes going into Denver Week 1. More than anything, I want this team ready for that game. The city of Baltimore is begging for home field in the playoffs. An AFC championship in Baltimore would be a dream come true.
  13. Just my opinion. Its only preseason, but Trestman needs to get out of this mentality that we are a running team and I am going to prove to everyone that I am not changing the offense. Watching the offense the first 2 weeks, I would call it bland and predictable. Too many 1st down runs. Followed up by 2nd Down Runs. Just call your game and keep defenses off balance.
  14. Perriman and Camp being injured might just be a blessing in disguise. It has, and could continue to give Waller more of an opportunity to show off his ability and get better. He could have been stuck running with the 3rd string and never getting a real look at playing time. Now it is looking more and more likely that he will be involved in the offense. I'm excited to see what he can bring to our team.
  15. Sound like another steal. InOzzieWeTrust
  16. If they just came out from the beginning and said he has a sprained knee and he will be out for 4-8 Weeks these "fans" wouldn't be crying right now. BP has freakish ability. Look at the Bears with Kevin White. Things happen, but with such a flaky fanbase due to the recent success, they should probably temper expectations of a stellar rookie season. 3 years from now we will know if this was a good pick. Its still Week 3 of the preseason.
  17. This game was a blessing in disguise. The talk of the town was way too positive and ahead of itself. Would you rather play like this now, or play like this walking into Denver? The Eagles regular offense is also something you need to dedicate a gameplan for, or you will get exposed. There were still some bright spots in the game. I though both Kendrick Lewis and Will Hill were flying around and hitting. Marlon Brown was open often and made some nice plays. Waller continued to impress and I think he is making this team. Zadarius Smith was getting after it. I thought Terrence MaGee looked awesome. He showed great vision, quickness, and the ability to run through tackles and pick up yards after contact. I know we also have Buck, but I would like to keep MaGee around. Lastly and most importantly, a position that may not be seen as a need, but always is: Bryn Renner. Wow. If you watch him in the huddle and lining up a bunch of mix match guys who might not even make the team, he runs the show and looks like a true leader. Schaub may the the stop gap this year if anything were to happen, but I think Renner belongs in this league. He has the arm, the mobility, decision making, and the leadership of a starting caliber QB. I would gladly keep him on the practice squad and let Schaub play out his contract. You can also tell that these young guys learn from Flacco. Tyrod looks like he actually developed into a decent player under Flacco. Everyone relax and realize it was just a preseason game, and now as a team they will refocus.
  18. When I was in Vegas for the Super Bowl I placed a $29 bet on the Ravens SB at 30-1. Go Ravens!
  19. Flacco is lookin' swoleee
  20. A guy who's name I never hear anymore is Marlon Brown. Is he falling off the depth chart?
  21. Bout to get that Jersey! TIMMYYY!!!
  22. The best 3 WR's should be on the field Week 1 and it sounds like Camp is earning it. Good for him, he is also an explosive player which is what all the pundits say we lack without Perriman. The knee history provides 0 backstory to Perriman's current injury if the condition only affects you as a child. Therefore it is pointless to publish. Sounds like Timmy be beasting. It's official, I'm buying his jersey.
  23. I remember a few years back and we were struggling to beat Pittsburgh (and then it was beat them with Ben, or beat them on the Road), and Harbaugh came out and said he was building a Dynasty. Most of the media just laughed in his face and thought not so fast, you gotta take care of your division first. It's funny to fast forward to now and see how Harbaugh and Ozzie truly have the recipe for success. I expect us to get better every year and feel lucky to be a Ravens fan.
  24. Timmy, Carl, and Brandon. I like that up front.
  25. What a bunch of babies our fans are. Perriman is hurt and is missing practice. He signed a 4 year contract. Get over it.
