To me, there's a big difference this year. Coaches talk about competition, improving everyone present and giving everyone a role. As if, and this could be real, those that don't make the roster make other NFL rosters.

I like the confidence and the structure a lot. It's a good sign, and I expect we'll walk into more games confidently expecting to win them.

@fusuymada, maybe it's to create an aberration in the final year. Ravens that move to other teams seldom maintain their level of performance in the final year. It might be, though I don't have the data to check, that they revert to performance levels of their other years served.

If that boost happens in the final year, the FO will know its continuity, more than other teams.

We sign a great and perfectly fitting player, and I read 9 pages of Ravens bickering.

@Postapocalypse Raven, that's far from your original point. It was that Darryl Smith has too much spine for Coach Harbaugh. That flies in the face of what the FO has stated as it's goal : to re-sign him.

Perhaps I have no point at all. KO picked up the roles quickly. He's big, and we need to up-size. Not trying to be clever ; just thinking aloud about another solution at C (because it may be we have nothing other than very expensive options). Shall shut up now.

@Kozak02, reason is Gs are far more plentiful than Cs. We can graft another G into KO's role. What we can't do is get someone big into C that has brains and brawn, and already some time close to the action. This is not THE priority; I'm wondering aloud why the FO could not be considering it, esp. as KO is going to be fresh to the Line anyway.
