This sounds pretty incredible, hope Mornhinweg will help get the Ravens on track with winning with more rushing: http://www.ravenspr.com/coaches_personnel_bios/MARTY_MORNHINWEG.pdf
QuoteMORNHINWEG COACHING HIGHLIGHTS: Throughout his NFL coaching career, five quarterbacks have earned Pro Bowl honors under Mornhinweg’s direction: Michael Vick, Donovan McNabb, Steve Young, Jeff Garcia and Brett Favre. As offensive coordinator of the New York Jets (2013-14), the team’s rushing attack ranked as the NFL’s third best (138.7 ypg) unit, which includes posting the league’s No. 3 average (142.5 ypg) in 2014. He also helped tutor QB Geno Smith, who in 2013 started all 16 games, becoming the first rookie QB in team history to do so. Prior to joining the Jets, Mornhinweg spent 10 seasons (2003-12) in Philadelphia, including nine (2004-12) as the Eagles’ offensive coordinator/assistant head coach. In that role, he helped the Eagles set single-season franchise records in total net yards (6,386 in 2011), total points (439 in 2010), average per rush (5.4 in 2010), third-down percentage (42.4 in 2007), net passing yards (4,119 in 2006), passer rating (96.7 in 2006) and fewest INTs (9 in 2006). He and John Harbaugh spent five seasons (2003-07) together on the Eagles’ coaching staff. Mornhinweg earned his first NFL head-coaching post with the Detroit Lions from 2001-02. His first NFL coordinator job came with the San Francisco 49ers (1997-2000), where in 1998, the team set franchise marks in total yards (6,800), first downs (381) and rushing yards (2,544). His first NFL coaching opportunity came in Green Bay (1995- 96), where in 1996, he served as the Packers’ QBs coach and helped guide Favre to NFL MVP honors and a victory in Super Bowl XXXI.
What was exactly wrong with CBS this week?
I wasn't too impressed with CBS' broadcast of the Ravens game, late in the 3rd quarter, me and my parents missed a portion of the game when the live feed suddenly cut out, then a commercial of some sort froze on the screen then a "technical difficulties" graphic was shown, then the live feed came back with Ravens offense on the field with a first down apparently just made but we didn't see how the Ravens made the 1st down.
Also the commentators, Justin Tucker was called "Justin Kicker" and Dennis Pitta was called "Denna Pitta."
This is interesting, former Ravens player and current Bills defensive assistant Ed Reed feels like he can still play in the NFL and offered a proposal that if a team can pay him $300 million, he would make a comeback to the NFL as a player, maybe the Ravens should make Reed the defensive coordinator to replace Dean Pees?: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000697499/article/ed-reed-ill-make-nfl-comeback-for-300-million
QuoteBills defensive assistant and future Hall of Famer Ed Reed thinks -- and looks -- like he could still pick off a pass and take it for a touchdown.
But it would cost any interested team hundreds of millions of dollars to change his mind about retirement.
"What's the lottery?" Reed said, via ESPN.com, when asked what amount of money could get him to throw on the shoulder pads again. "It's like 308 (million)? 306? Something like that, right? I got to hit the lottery."
"I got two or three years in me," he said. "But I'm not giving it to the league. I already decided not to. Things could happen, but I don't think there's enough finances to get me in those cleats anymore, man. They tend not to want to play the vets."
Reed and his new boss, Bills coach Rex Ryan, can probably both agree that he is in a better place. Reed's departure from Baltimore and career arc from that point on weren't what we expected from the nine-time Pro Bowler and former NFL defensive player of the year, but coaching seems to have come just as naturally.
Should Reed move up the ladder, it will hopefully cost a team a little less than $300 million to make him a defensive coordinator.

losing the top QB, top WR ,top RB, top LT and the top draft pick to season ending injuries wont bode well for any offense in the league.....
I consider last year to be a fluke for the Ravens, no one could've anticipated or even predicted that our QB, WR, RB, LT and the top draft pick for WR would all have serious injuries that took them out of playing for a big chunk of the season last year. I'm hoping that won't happen again.

Is it true that us Ravens fans "like to point fingers at offensive coordinators"?
QuoteOffensive coordinator Marc Trestman could be the fall guy in 2016 if the Ravens don't succeed.
The Ravens haven't been to the playoffs in two of the last three seasons and last year fell to 5-11 after going 10-6 in 2014. The only thing that dropped faster was a franchise-best offense from 2014 that finished No. 26 in rushing and No. 23 in third down efficiency in 2015.
Somebody has to be accountable.
Barring a total collapse, it is unlikely to be coach John Harbaugh, who would appear to have at least a one-year reprieve. It won't be defensive coordinator Dean Pees because his group played well at the end of last season and he now has some outstanding young talent.
That leaves Trestman. It's unfortunate and unfair, but Baltimore fans like to point fingers at offensive coordinators because the Ravens haven't had many who have put together good seasons for consecutive years.

Jeeze!!! Wow!!!! I'm hoping this means the Ravens can swoop in and Ozzie does his magic and get Ochi on our PS because I was impressed with how well he played in the pre-season.
Hmmm, this is very interesting, from The Baltimore Sun: http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-after-calculated-gamble-ravens-agree-to-re-sign-rb-justin-forsett-20160905-story.html
QuoteAfter calculated gamble, Ravens re-sign RB Justin Forsett
September 5, 2016
Two days after he was released amid the Ravens’ roster juggling, veteran running back Justin Forsett has agreed to re-sign with the team today and is in line to practice Tuesday and play in Sunday’s regular-season opener against the Buffalo Bills atM&T Bank Stadium.
To accommodate the return of Forsett and the signing of wide receiver/kick returnerDevin Hester, who agreed to terms Sunday on a one-year deal, the Ravens are expected to place both defensive tackle Carl Davis (ankle) and safety Matt Elam (knee) on injured reserve.
While it was a little risky because Forsett was a free agent and could have signed with anybody after his contract was terminated before 4 p.m. Saturday as the team trimmed its roster to 53, this was the Ravens’ plan all along.
In removing him from the roster when they did and holding off from officially signing Hester, the Ravens were able to keep both Davis and Elam on the 53-man roster through 4 p.m. Sunday. In doing so, both players are now options to return from injured reserve and onto the active roster later this season.
Per league rules, the Ravens are allowed to bring only one IR player back to the active roster but that player had to still be on the active roster through 4 p.m. Sunday. Thus, wide receivers Michael Campanaro and Chris Matthews, who were both placed on IR on Saturday, are not eligible to come back to the active roster this season, and Elam and Davis, whose IR trip was delayed 24 hours, are eligible.
With the addition of Hester and the return of Forsett, the Ravens now have an accomplished return man on the roster and three healthy running backs. Forsett will join Terrance West(Northwestern High, Towson University) and Buck Allen in the backfield. Rookie fourth-round pick Kenneth Dixon, who had a strong preseason, is expected to be sidelined for a couple of weeks with a torn MCL in his left knee.
Keenan Reynolds has been released:
I'm a big fan of The X-Files and was really excited to hear that a revival was being made in 2015 for broadcast in early 2016. I watched the first three episodes on the initial air dates and I like the revival and hope it received high ratings so more episodes could be considered after these 6 episodes.
Who else on here are fans of The X-Files and are watching the revival? What are your reactions to the revival, do you like it or not? Why do you like it or dislike it?
I saw the commercial for XCom 2 during the premiere episode of the 2016 revival for The X-Files and thought it would be a really cool game. I've played XCom: Enemy Unknown and liked that game. I'm planning on buying XCom 2 since it's the sequel to XCom: Enemy Unknown.
Who is Perriman? I remember that name but can't quite place it.
Perriman is the Ravens #1 draft pick for this season. What impressed the Ravens is his pure speed, he is very fast from what I've read.
I'm going to say it, trading Anquan Boldin has really hurt the Ravens, especially since the Ravens FO was trying to make Asa Jackson the replacement for Boldin.
So, no Asa Jackson, no clarity on who our punt and kickoff returner will be.
If we are going with existing players, I would say Campanaro if he can remain healthy, Steve Smith Sr., or Ladarius Webb.
If the Ravens FO will look at cut players from around the league, I would like the FO to look at Trindon Holliday whose name stands out because I recall Holliday returned a punt for a 90 yard touchdown and then returned a kickoff for a 104 yard touchdown in a single game against the Baltimore Ravens in a 2012 playoff game and Jacoby Ford, I've seen his name pop up a lot when it comes to a very speedy returner.
Yep that was the 2012 year playoffs game.. Joe's mile high miracle game
That's what I thought. If Holliday still have the speed for returns and can catch the ball without fumbling, maybe the Ravens FO should take a look at Holliday since Asa Jackson has been cut.
Wasn't Trindon Holliday the player who returned a punt for a 90 yard touchdown and then returned a kickoff for a 104 yard touchdown in a single game against the Baltimore Ravens one year?

Here's a video I just found of what looks to be the easiest touchdown the Jets had ever made:
LOL @ 16 seconds: "That's a touchdown!!! Yeah!!! What are the Bills doing?!?"
