Agreed 100%. The same tough decision was made ironically for another tight end, Todd Heap. As much as the city loved Heap, business wise it was time to let him go.
very true and very unfortunate
Interesting, the Webb pros of good hands and ball skills. They left out the big con, lack of speed. What good are hand and ball skills if you're not in position to use them ? Time to part ways with Webb and time for T Brooks to take over at FS.
I hate to say it but I think the Ravens may make the decision for him. From a pure business mindset it makes total sense to cut Pitta. From a pure emotional perspective it's going to be a tough call, but a call I see coming.
The shoulder injury I get but 4 games off from a concussion that nobody saw ? Come on man !
"No price tag on that." so so true, on both accounts
No west coast trips, I like it.
This is the best Monday in a long long time ! Love it ! Go Ravens !
I'd like to see a pass rusher as well. In the form of Joey Bosa preferably.
Well, this is definitely a pre season game come early. Looking forward to seeing what Urban can do more than anything, as a starter. And really needs to start.
Would never sell my tickets to a Steelers fan. I have no problem (how could I or anyone else) with others and what they do with their property. I just can't bring myself to do it, not to mention, Any Given Sunday ! Brent Urban just might knock Big Ben out of this one. That alone is worth the price of admission. ![]()
As long as the Steelers don't go on to win the SB, I don't care what games they win. The worse thing in the world are those blankety blank fans going the whole off season as the champs.
I can't believe people are crying about Tyrod Taylor. That's hilarious.
Like they always say, 33rd CB's the charm.
I wouldn't be surprised if the cheerleaders that run on to the field with the Ravens flags at the beginning of each home game, run out with big white flags this Sunday. We're literally running out of players.
if only they would've won last week . They were so damn close. Then came the false start and wood heads drop in the end zone as time expired.
crazy.. so close yet so far away
I see us losing out, which is not a bad thing. Just need San Diego to win 2 out of last 3, not impossible but tough and we would have a legit shot at Bosa. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Harbaugh's comments about Webb should be most concerning if you're name sounds anything like Shmendrick Shmewis. That new DirecTV commercial cracks me up. Shmank you ! lol
Well, the pre season has arrived. Time to see who wants a job and who doesn't.
I think the water boy is the only one left that hasn't been placed on IR. Crazy !
Monroe, what a joke... Thought we we're getting a Jaguar, instead we get a pussycat. Unreal.
I didn't think so at all. SOS wasn't overly difficult, and I had no issue with the way the games stacked up. Our own team wanted back-to-back WC road trips, and we were given that.
At the beginning of the season, I thought the schedule was frankly pretty favorable. First four appeared to be brutal, last four looked pretty difficult, and the middle was filled with a TON of winnable games. 3 of our last 4 are at home, and I've been told by practically everybody on here that December matters more than September (though I never bought this). If that's the case, then you've got a bunch of very winnable home games at the end of the season.
Winnable, that is, if your team is a competitor. The Cleveland Browns look at their schedule every year and think its brutal. Now we see why.
You're the only one that thought that, good for you.
Schedule wasn't really a problem. It's front loaded with road games and back loaded with home games. That's pretty much what Ravens fans have been asking for years.
The reason the schedule looks bad is because the team is bad.
The schedule looked bad before we found out we had a bad team. It may look worse at this point, but it always looked bad.
I never ever bought into the conspiracy theory of NFL/or refs having it in for Baltimore. Couple this year's freaking schedule with NO HOLDING CALLS against our opponents for 10 STRAIGHT GAMES, well, I'm buying now. Not only am I buying, I'm buying OCEAN FRONT ! #ridiculous!
I'm with you on all accounts Commish! On an almost unrelated topic, where's SUGGS??? I know he's out for the season but shouldn't he be on the sidelines with his team or has he packed it up? Just curious.
It would be stupid for Suggs to be on the sideline. He's rehabbing from a serious injury and if he were on the sidelines he risks getting injured again with players coming out of bounds.

I respectfully and completely disagree. Webb is descending and has been for some time now as the knee injuries have taken their toll. Brooks has way more upside than any player on the team playing safety at this point. Lewis had one, literally one good play all year long. So an additional off season, training camp in the Ravens system isn't going to do a thing for this guy. He's awful, God awful.
