It usually works the other way around lol ,,, with the exception of Harbaugh of course as we always seem to produce top special teams units year in and year out

How can you not love Joe Flacco !

I'm staying clear of predictions until after FA is opened for awhile. We will get a better understanding of our intentions after the first couple weeks.

For all we know, we make a Boldin-like trade or Steve Smith like signing and it changes everything. Applies to any position really.

Oh god forbid you ever say Joe threw a bad ball or made a bad call. Nooooooo some people here will blame the receivers for running too slow, not jumping high enough, not getting open quick enough, not finding the sweet spot in the zone. The linemen for not holding their blocks long enough, the quardinators for bad play calls. The wind , the rain. A GhOst! But noooo constructive criticism is banned when you mention Joe Flacco. He can get paid like the best but doesn't have to play like the best.

Go prove us all wrong Joe! If mallet and schaub can play at a respectable level with your backups then you should play at a probowl level with the starters. No excuses just hard work and results!

Also, if you think what all three backs up did was better than what Joe has done and will do moving forward, I have to question your football acumen. Keeping with the Star Wars theme these days...I find your lack of faith in Flacco disturbing.

I believe it was the out of bounds hit on Alex Smith, on 3rg and long that started KC's first drive for a TD. The game went bad after that.

I'm with ya on this one. Harbaugh sucked so bad he won a SB for us. And by the way, great players don't necessarily make great or even good coaches. Prime example, Mike Singletary. For sentimental sake, sure it's too bad Reed didn't wind up here but he can in no way turn a DB group into clones of himself. And that's what people will expect no matter how ridiculous those expectations are.

I think subconsciously people were expecting Mosley to get close to Ray Lewis status. Obviously that's unrealistic but I think we're all just accustomed to greatness at the LB position. The next Ray Lewis simply isn't ever going to walk out of that tunnel. Just like we've heard for years, "the Next Michael Jordan.." It hasn't happened, nor will it.

This was the best news to come out of the press conference.

I know of a retired LB that would be just perfect for the vacated LB Coaching job.

I understand the gap between the Ravens and Bengals may be widening since they beat us 5 straight. However, to say the gap is widening vs the Steelers is just wrong considering we've beat them 4 out of the last 5 games. 

Just to add a little more to this... We've beaten them 8 out of the last 11 !

Webb has been one of the most consistent players on our defense. He is in decline from 5 years ago, yes I would agree. But playing Nickel and the role he has this year he has been really good. The problem a lot of people have is his salary. He is getting paid #1 cornerback money as a #3 slot cornerback. He is one of the best in the league in the slot, problem is we cannot afford it. That is why this move to FS makes sense. It gives him more playing time. It also will help us find a FS and we will not have to attack it in free agency. In my opinion I bet he has a run for his money because Kendrick Lewis will be a lot better year 2. He will have to restructure most likely again this year.
